    Pack Meeting Begins

    Beginning Meeting on Discord

    * Kova as the wolves of WolfSpirits would gather in their numbers she’d feel the pulse of each beat and warmth of bodies shared in the collective. How subtle that feeling was, yet how heavy it felt as she knew knew what was to come.

“It is time” she whispered to Rook. Giving her mate a gentle nuzzle, she made her way to the Alpha stone and leaping gingerly to the back and slowly walking up it. Her shoulder and frame still sore from the hunt but her stomach was full.

She lifted her muzzle and let loose a low, deep howl. A gathering. Her tone a little different this time. Low, soft, but truly heartfelt.

    * Leora as she would be unaware of her ninny-headed brother coming up behind her, he’d have the element of surprise! She would EPPPPP!! But do her very best not to spat out the two stones she collected! She spun around, fur on end like a cat as she glared at her brother! “himmmm-eee!” she muffled before pawing the air at him. He was saved by the bell, mhmm! Kova’s howl reached her and so she turned and started off in that direction, but not before shoulder-bumping Redwing!

    * Calder there was much to observe and much to feel, but for now the call was made and he would heed it. He would nose Fianna and remain seated beside her and Rook and only if she moved, he would follow. The trinket and token would be kept close and secure and if they moved he’d gingerly move it along to.

    * Cairdeas It seemed the conversation with Rook was to be continued and a quiet dip of his dome offered in response to Kaia. He would motion with his dome for those who wanted to follow, granted his ‘Perfect spot,’ had not been snatched. :wolfteehee: He would seat himself silently and await his turn to proudly stand before his family, one day he could call them pack. That was his hope and dream.

    * Rook would dip his nose to his mate as she whispered to him of the timing. “Greetings will wait until after the meeting, if fate allows. Come, Cairdeas. You can sit by me and help keep this token from my sister safe.” It would be a monumental task to a younger wolf, but Cairdeas could likely take and handle the fossilized tusk easily enough. The distance in which to carry it was also minimal, because he likened to sit among the others rather than behind or in front of. He, like the others, would listen to his mate’s call…the sounding of an ending and of a beginning.

    * Faelcu A howl from the Alphess made Faelcu slowly blink. It was as if her response was delayed to calling as it took her a minute to get up. When she did, she dropped to a stretch and heard soft pops from her stiff back. Faelcu then padded towards the stone, glancing between all the wolves currently in the clearing. There were so many, and it made her feel a bit nervous. Faelcu would sit a fair few yards away from the stone. Close enough to hear, but intentionally not particularly close to anyone. Nae, she didn’t quite want to sit close to anyone currently when there were a fair amount of wolves she hadn’t met yet that were here.

    * Panther Panther had missed his mate, that much was true. He could only express his affection through his gaze, considering they hadn’t reached each other yet. Quickly he would’ve crashed his crown into hers, the friction settling into his frame. He closed his gaze, and his tail swayed behind him. His heart was sated for now, and he’d slowly pull his crown from hers. Panther was restless, but he’d settle on his haunches for the time being. Unlike his mate, he was unaware. “I’ve missed you, my dear.” A quiet offering of love and affection danced across the air, he would’ve nuzzled into her frame, imparting his scent across her frame. However, their time together didn’t last long, and Panther was back up upon his paws. His ears perked to the howl, and he would’ve likely made his way towards the stone alongside his mate, finding a nice spot to listen.

    * Shakira The call of the Alpha would quicken her pace, the urge to heed the call an instinct that flowed as thick as blood through her veins, the treeline swiftly coming into view as she broke into the open at a quick lope, her gaze taking in what she could see of the Clearing though her pace would be unhindered. When the Alphas Rock would come into view, she would find a spot at the back of the gathered, her heart full to see quite the number of wolves heeding the call of a meeting this time.

    * Redwing He’d give a little strut to his apparent rouse being successful before that old lady with the moves called out for a meeting. Man, this was going to be fun…and maybe sad, but mostly fun. Tonight was the night he’d be off to find and earn his name. Then, and only then, would he be among the wolves of the Mean Oíche. Time to get on gettin’ on!

    * Kova as each wolf found their chosen place to seat her head dipped in a greeting now formal. “Met and well met, wolves of WolfSpirits. Thank you for being here this evening.” she began as her eyes scanned the wolves now present and maybe those yet to join. “I would like to start the night off by calling those who have requested to join, or wish to do so, to come forward please.”

    * Leora she would give a :wolfpog: expression to Redwing then after she would find the collective wolves. Wow, so many! She wondered what the big-doings were going to be this night. She would hold her stones though and as she scanned the wolves, she saw several she huff/chuffed a greeting to with her mouth full. She’d pad to her brother, Rook, first and seat herself beside him. She eyed Redwing…. A look saying “get over here!”

    * Rowan It was likely she was close enough to the Clearing by now to hear the call, however faint it seemed to her. She sighed, just when she thought of slowing down. She pushed herself, and when the trees came into view she’d enter them. Racing through the trees, and jumping across the stream. She entered, finally, into the Clearing proper. She hummed softly, hearing the last bit of Kova’s offered words. Approaching the stone, she would sit wherever an open spot seemed to be.

    * Cairdeas had begun to leave to his perfect spot however as Rook asked for help he was glad to oblige. He would only nod not wanting to interupt but he held the fossilized tusk proudly for the Lore Master. He felt rather special at the moment even though he had no idea what the object was he was holding. It was the fact Rook entrusted him to hold onto it. However not long after he picked it up he set it back at Rook’s paws, “I must go up,” he said very quietly raising his form and slowly padding up towards the front. He could not remember ever being in front of the pack, the only other time was when he was two months old. It was a bit more nerve wracking than he anticipated but he went. It was time to show Fianna he meant what he said.

    * Fianna She settled amongst the others, enjoying the time at their sides to be what it was, running out, and rather than be up front she preferred the pack around her for as long she had it. She listened to the words, spotting Leora and Redwing arrive along with Rowan and Shakira. She felt her tail swing and her heart thump in time to each name as they repeat within her like a song. When Cairdeas moved up to the stone, Fianna sat a bit taller, proud of him and this step, a big one for a yearling. She watched with eyes gleaming and leaned into Calder.

    * Faelcu Those who have requested to join… She repeated those words in her head. I suppose that means more walking for me. If the alphess was calling upon wolves who already pledged/were going to, then Faelcu would reluctantly stand up after just settling down to listen to the meeting. She padded on closer to the stone, perhaps nodding her head to Kaia and Cairdeas as she passed by the two. It was more polite to at least acknowledge those two who decided to show her random kindness. Her paws eventually halted once she stood a few feet away from the stone. She looked up at the alphess, keeping a neutral expression to hide her nerves. Perhaps she’d also cast a small glance to Cairdeas who also appeared to walk up to the stone as well?

    * Redwing Well…here’s my strut do-do-do. Struttin’ my way on over to you! He’d hear Kova’s call for those who wished to join to come on up, but he had no wish to bid $1 Bob. Besides, how was he supposed to know how much that vanity and banquet table combo was worth? Instead, he’d make his way over to Leora and sit back on his haunches to impatiently wait the timing of all things.

    * Kova her eyes scanned the wolves who where present. Those who where of pack and those who sought a journey in some form or another. Cairdeas would be the first to heed her call and when no others joined, she dipped her head. She’d not be surprised and was happy to see the young wolf make his way on a path pledged by others. When no others came forward, she looked down. “Cairdeas.” she began. “Your story began here in WolfSpirits and it’s current path. Nearly a year already, this is a milestone to welcome you to pledge, and pledge you seek. Pledging to WolfSpirits is a time to know your heart and to ensure that this is the pack you desire to join. Are you willing to continue to learn the ways and rules of WolfSpirits, but most of all, know this is truly to be your home?

    * Saskia he depths clearing, was a howl. A call to gather, and one she knew to belong to no other than Kova. She answered the summon with a quick rise, moving a few hundred feet towards the stone. Reclining at it’s base but a few paces back, she and her mate would be, along with Kaia if she intended to follow. She smiled in the fae’s direction and offered a silent greeting. When Kova asked for the pledge of those who wished to be woven within their folds, she glanced around. Cairdeas was one of the first she noticed and it was not surprise. He was growing quickly, surrounded by strong and true influences. She hummed approvingly and turned to see another fae. This was the scent she’d found earlier. Inquisitively, she offered her stares to the fae. Who was she? She made mental note to introduce herself after the meeting. For now – the task at hand.

    * Rook would only dip his nose to the lad before he placed his right front paw atop the tusk. What could he say in the moment that a quiet knowing smile could not? Tonight was about journeys; journeys would end and journeys would begin here.

    * Leora she watched her brothers antics and swishing rump of a strut and well… she almost snickered aloud. Ohfh! How rude that would’ve been! She would lower the stones between her paws and quickly hide them from view. When that was done, she nudged Anfir’s shoulder then watched the proceedings.

    * Kaia would follow her it was nice to have people she knew here and so she’d walk beside saskia, the fae had wished to speak to her before her departure which would likely come this night or with the warmth of dawn, she’d seen panther before but did not yet know him by name she’d give a small eyes open not to him by way of silent introduction she didn’t wish to cause any disturbance during the meeting as a way of showing her respect to the wolves who knew this place to be home.

    * Cairdeas nodded to Faelcu who had joined him in front of the pack and hopefuls as well. He would look out across the sea of faces raising his dome high, “I call you my family,” he started in response,* “only home I have ever known but I wish to give back and call my family pack proudly one day.” He hoped this was acceptable as he had been showing his willingness to learn through his barrage of questions and curiosities. His dome would lower showing he had said his peace.

    * Kova when the young wolf would offer his words of trust and promise to see to a new journey she smiled. His words true and of heart. As all lay witness to the young wolf’s vow and first pledge I would like to have the honor tonight to welcome Cairdeas… WolfSpirits Pledge! ” she would stomp her paw and smile. “Cairdeas, you may now introduce yourself as such to any and all you meet.”

    * Calder when Cairdeas approached and would pledge himself he would smile lightly. Knowing the lad had grown into the pack well, he was proud to see him follow in the steps before him and those before him, to. He stomped his paw for the young wolf. Growing so big…

    * Panther Kaia was familiar, but also unfamiliar in name. He hadn’t greeted her, or he didn’t recall greeting her. Would she follow the mated pair? If so, he’d dip his head to her, but he wouldn’t offer words. He was focused on sitting with his mate, and listening to the meeting. It seemed Kaia chose to follow, and he’d acknowledge this with a nod. He would introduce himself later, especially since this fae seemed to know his mate. However, when asked to step forward, he’d notice Cairdeas first and foremost. A silent gaze fell upon the yearling, reminding him of Ragaire and how she had pledged herself when she was younger. Forcefully, he looked back to Kova, stomping his paw for the young male.

    * Leora she would look to the proceedings and Cairdeas was first up. When he pledged himself she would remain neutral. She’d not forgotten their little ‘deal’, nor his need to prove himself of trust to her. Time! Yes, time. Now there’d be more of it and with sincerety, she hoped. She stomped her paw lightly for him before ensuring none of her stones got loose.

    * Maeve It’d been a hot minute since this young fae had been able to shake the dust off and get back to existing. She’d likely missed much in the recent days, including most recently perhaps a call for a meeting! Something in her bones shook her from her pseudo-hibernation, as though perhaps her rival was advancing without her! That couldn’t be so, could it? Not one to be outdone, or at least to miss such a historic event, she’d begin shaking her pelt free of debris and dust, trotting north toward the clearing and the Alpha’s stone to join those gathered! While some might stomp for joy, it’d be a song of congradulations that’d herald her arrival and one that she’d lend her own voice to. Did she know the content of the meeting already? Mmm perhaps not, but congradulations anyway Cairdeas!

    * Saskia Stamp, stampity, stamp! Saskia would not miss out on a chance to gleefully stamp her paw for the yearling who she’s known since he first entered this realm. She offered a wide smile, happy the wolf was continuing his journey with the pack.

    * Shakira Seated at the back, she would only hear the names of those called and here the name of Cairdeas. When the Alpha proclaimed him the packs newest Pledge, she would lift her muzzle and howl her congratulations as was customary, happy to see one of the young choosing to remain with the pack.

    * Faelcu watched as the young Cairdeas pledged to the pack. It made her think back to her last conversation with him. So he asked me how it felt to pledge because he was going to do so… Her ear flicked as the pack seemed to stomp their paws for him in congrats. She’d do so as well out of respect. It was something she wasn’t used to as in her previous pack, the wolves mainly celebrated with howls rather than stomps. Though she was old, that didn’t mean she couldn’t adapt! She’d make sure to remember this for whenever another meeting happened and a new wolf pledged. That way, she could continue to congratulate others like the pack has done.

    * Anfir Huh, that little dork was pledging himself to the pack huh? It felt like yesterday that he was meeting a little runt he had half an inkling to scare. Now, the world was getting older, and the scarier things were yet to come. He trusted the once runt and still dork could handle himself well enough now. Now, what was he suppose to do here? Paw stamp? Yeah, that was it… one paw stamp for one dork coming right up!

    * Kaias paw joined the chorus of thumps her eyes hadn’t strayed from cairdeas throughout the meeting. She’d sit just a little way from panther and saskia encase the pair wished to only be together though she was greatful for the invitation she did not wish to interrupt them. More than anything she wanted to sit with faelcu, it was ridiculous and she knew it enfant the older fae likely thought kaia quite pushy she thought, but still she wanted to atleast tell the fae she was leaving… perhaps faelcu would prefer to be left alone? She did not know but it could wait till the end of the meeting atleast

    * Rook would let the tusk lay even on the ground before he too gave a paw stamp for Cairdeas and his decision to grow further within the pack.

    * Fianna would feel emotional enough already but to see growth within the pack she always felt it rise – this one was her adopted son heightened the sensation perhaps but she would rise and stomp a paw along with the others to see and acknowledge him along his chosen path. A new beginning for him as well. She wouldn’t be unaware of the new fae’s and had spoken with one of them, the other, perhaps she would get a chance.. perhaps not. When Kova beckoned her on up beside Cairdeas she murr and her tail would wag as she knew what came. She moved gracefully on up to stand beside Cairdeas and nosed him once, her eyes knowing and thoughtful before looking to Kova and giving a nod of respect and acknowledgment.

    * Rowan A smile reached her muzzle, Cairdeas had stepped forward and pledged himself. It seemed Cairdeas wished to remain the pack, and for that she was grateful. She stamped her paw into the ground, however mushy it may be with the snow thaw. Her tail swayed behind her, until she heard Fianna’s name called, she looked to the fae. Faelcu’s presence was also noticed, as was Shakira’s. However, she kept her eyes on the meeting and all it offered.

    * Cairdeas turned to Kova and he dipped his dome quietly he would continue to stand there for a bit unsure if he was supposed to head back, his legs felt heavy as if bones lead. ‘Remain here?’ He began to shake a bit continuing to look about those sea of faces. He had no idea what was happening. His muscles relaxed as Fianna joined him at the front. His shaking calmed as well and his dome tilted.

    * Kova when her sister would approach the stone from her seated place, she smiled and began. “Fianna, you have been a mother of this pack for many seasons. This last season, we saw joy, renewal, but struggle and loss of presence for those who where without their mother. You took them in and cared for them as your own and for that this pack will always be indebted.” she began firstly said before continuing. “You are called before this stone and before the pack for you have requested to become spirit mother to Cairdeas, and you, Cairdeas son by spirit to Fianna. I would like to ask each of you to please share with the pack why you wish this to be named.”

    * Fianna She would lift her head as Kova asked and took the moment to lead by example, going first and taking care with her words. She looked down to Cairdeas as she spoke, then out to those gathered before looking to Kova as well. “When Cairdeas and his siblings pups lost their I took responsibility for them, being in a situation and seeing the need to do so. The love of a mother to a young one comes in a rush sometimes, but sometimes it falls softly and without true awareness at first. Responsibility came first, duty to life and to pack, but then came love, deep and abiding as I saw Cairdeas rise from his trials and charge ahead. His nature shone, and he, perhaps more than some, needed me and wished for a bond. My love for him is that of deep kinship and so it will always be. To wish him the best, to nurture his growth, and to see to his future. He is my son, as much as he can be, and I wished it to be so in the eyes of the pack as well.” She nosed him softly, eyes shining.

    * Cairdeas caught off guard just would speak from his heart. Nervousness broke the surface once more, this was great news. He took in a deep breath, “I felt alone, abandoned,” he stated shifting his gaze low, “Fianna, my only mother, show me love and take me in. I would never be standing here now without her love and direction.” A small whine may have escaped his vocals upon finishing knowing what was happening later. Most might mistake it for a whine of happiness but it was really a bittersweet one. To Fianna’s words his orbs widened a bit and he felt calmer once more, she always knew just how to put him at ease. A true mother to him, not just in spirit but in truth.

    * Saskia When Fianna was called forth, Saskia watched curiously. When the intentions were revealed, Saskia felt an instantaneous moment of nausea wash over her. She swallowed what felt like a rock in her throat before listening intently, pressing her flank into her mate’s own for support. This moment was of no surprise to Saskia but to hear it aloud was something she didn’t prepare for. Emotions washed over her; mostly hapiness. She understood the hardships of losing a mother, though not as young, she understood. They needn’t a title for the pack to see it true, Saskia thought. Saskia ushered her inner strength to stomp her paw firmly into the ground, knowing true and well the honor to have the Beta as a mother. She only hoped Cairdeas would continue his train of good and uphold that bond – from her own experiences.

    * Maeve While she might not have heard the full details on the pledging, she’d have been able to sit in and listen to the proceedings of a bond of spirit-motherhood for Fianna and Cairdeas. To her, Cairdeas had long been her little brother, so she might wonder at the purpose of such an announcement here. Yet even as she wonders she can’t help but feel a joy bubbling in her little heart. Perhaps that was part of it? An opportunity to know the loving bond of kin, spoken in words to be felt and shared? At the words offered and shared and in an effort not to loudly interrupt such sweet and bittersweet words she’d give an encouraging double stamp of her forward paws as she’d settle into a seat within those gathered. She might not know what day it is, or what’s been going on until now, but she was here and proud to support her mother and brother!

    * Faelcu Perhaps in a fit of awkwardness, the old fae would take three steps back from the stone, sitting down. She peered behind her as Kova called over a somewhat familiar name to her. Had she met Fianna before? Her scent was familiar, too, but she didn’t recognize the fae by appearance. She remained silent as Fianna was called over to become the young lad’s… Spirit mother? The black furred fae was left with a few questions. She thought the two were already mother and son from what Cairdeas had told her. It kept on growing more apparent that this pack was so much more different from her past two, and it left her feeling a bit lost. Still, she showed both wolves respect by sitting in silence as they took their turns to speak. Faelcu decided to save all of her questions after the meeting.

    * Kaia If wolves cried tears to express emotion then kaia would have wept silently seeing this testimony of kinship, as it stoop she watched her eyes glazed over, not a family born to but one found Perhaps what she wanted did not lie in a life of solitude… ‘but you already knew that didn’t you?’ She thought, she had missed the moment to pledge she could see that much and she was here for him not for her own selfish desires. So she smiled her gentle gaze watching cairdeas.

    * Rook To this news, he would offer his voice and beckon the Song to bear witness to the naming of a nephew. It was a surprise to hear it be said so, but it was a good surprise and one worthy of the levity and happiness behind it. This was certainly a night of many emotions.

    * Cairdeas As Fianna was called to the stone and Shakira was called forward, though legs felt weighty he quickly ran back to Rook. Cairdeas did not think it would be that scary standing before everyone. He mirrored Rook and placed a paw on the fossilized tusk. He looked up to Rook a silent question held in his gaze as he haunched himself next to him.

    * Snarls had departed the fountain of passing for little had been seen and the rumble of an empty belly bellowed for fulfillment. It had taken a few weeks to replenish the empty hole, satified she’d moved further south before once again having climbed the range that separated the pack’s lands, if indeed it was a full pack. The winds played tricks on her perhaps for a faint howl teased her ears. With what light was left of the day she crept between the peaks still beyond the pack’s lands. In time, spotting small dots moving about in an open expanse, too distant to discern much. Laying low, she simply observed. Most the ants were unmoving it seemed, though now and again, one would move as if exchanging places? her head tilting in curiosity remaining well hidden within the bramble and shrubs, a shadow within shadows.

    * Shakira She would hear the naming of a Spirit Mother and Son and lift her voice once more, her tail swaying in earnest for her friend and packmate and her newly named kin. When Kova would call her forward, she would feel a wolven smile part her muzzle as she stood and moved to stand beside her Alpha and long time friend, offering a playful nosing and bump to her shoulder as she would look to her and then to Fianna.

    * Anfir Had no one else caught that old lady making her way up to the stone among the others? We’re in Walmart Grandma, not the dime store! The milk…no, grams. The milk is in aisle 10 by the boxed wine! He was about to go and held the old lady , Faelcu, out when she managed to find her way back to the rest of the group. Man, that was awkward. Now, what was this about Cairdeas also being named Fianna’s son? How does that work, he wondered? Would that make him dork-in-law or a half-dweeb? Family trees were weird.

    * Panther Fianna was Stick’s spirit mother now? How fitting. Though, he was somewhat surprised, he figured this was coming. Cairdeas had grown rather close with Fianna, a wayward glance would be offered to Calder. Did Calder think the same, he wondered. Panther sighed, and looked towards Saskia, nosing her gently and offering his support. Regardless, Panther would offer a stomp of his paw. Now, a curious glance would settle on Kova again. A quiet glance would be offered to Shakira. A head tilt, and then perked ears. What would happen now? He wondered, as Fianna rose to take Kova’s position on the stone and Kova at the base beside Shakira.

    * Faelcu Out of respect, Faelcu would stomp her paw once more after the pair was named spirit mother and spirit son. She may have shuffled back a bit further after that, and her attention would then turn to a new name being called up. She looked over at the golden pelted fae who had walked up to the stone. There were still more wolves to talk to, it appeared. No more stalking around the edge of the territory for now, seeing as Faelcu really had to work on talking to others more. Like before, she’d give her full attention towards the meeting as it appeared that Fianna was about to speak once more.

    * Fianna She would dip her head deeply and gratefully to the bonds acknowledged and now witnessed and accepted by the pack. She nosed Cairdeas and licked his muzzle before he’d turn to settle back by Rook. When Kova asked her to remain she would nod and rise to stand beside Kova on the rock momentarily before Kova moved off to stand beside Shakira. Ahhh, hers was not the only request. She felt her tail sway in rhythm as she looked between them. “In this moment, at this time before the pack do the two of you wish to share any words?” She glanced at Kova for confirmation of this moment before she would add, “of a spirit bond, and the love that connects you.”

    * Kova when the tawny fae of stunning light and earthen hues approached she felt her heart beat. She grinned equally so and nuzzle bumped her happily back. Admiration and pride welled there. A long breath was given before she’d start. She looked up to Fianna and smiled. “Just as you have requested your spirit bond with Cairdeas, Aye, I now seek the blessing of you and the pack to allow me the same.” she turned to Shakira and nosed her warmly. “Allow me to now share my heart and why.” She turned back to face the other wolves. “Shakira and I have forged a bond through many years. She’s taught me, shown me, and allowed me to grow in the areas of the hunt and I would not be the skilled huntress I am without her. The hunt, however, is just part of why I am here.” she turned back to Fianna. “I wish to seek to become spirit sisters with Shakira, for though we are not bonded by blood, our spirit is forever bound and together. Until my last breath and beyond, we will be Sisters.”

    * Cairdeas calmed and watched Shakira and Kova bump like chums. It was easier to calm seeing the antics in front go on. It reminded him of Maeve and Ceol, how good friends and siblings they had become. As he thought, he noticed Maeve’s scent, she was here? He would have to see her after the meeting if he could find her. He waited quietly watching another spirit bond! He would watch quietly, this was a glorious meeting so far.

    * Calder his eyes would go from one to the other. When Fianna and Cairdeas’ bond where made, he would’ve lifted his muzzle and howled alongside Shakira. The proceedings continued and his tail waved to the next of pair. His eyes fell to Shakira and Kova. He smiled inwardly and continued to observe. If Panther happened to glance his way at the moment of the naming son and mother, he was content in the acceptance and support of it.

    * Leora oh my, oh me, oh me oh my! So much happenign! One might wonder how one even keeps up with so many behind-the-spirits-wolves-typin. She would swing her trail and gruuuruuu for Fianna and Cairdeas. She was happy for her sister and she hoped the young wolf would find his own in both pledge and family. If Maeve was nearby she might also peer in that direction?? Where had her niece been!?

    * Rook quieted and listened as the meeting moved ever on. If Cairdeas sought an answer in Rook’s eyes, it was not forthcoming. Was he looking for affirmation of a choice and decision that was not Rook’s? Was he looking for the Lore Master to twist fate so that the blood of the youngster was his blood kin, the Mean Oíche? The lad had time to learn the lessons therein. For now, his eyes and attention remained upon the stone and those who gave themselves to what it represented.

    * Saskia Upon the admittance of a sisterly bond between Shakira and Kova, Saskia smiled. She couldn’t help but he reminded of another in this moment. She wondered where Rune was and if she was well. Her gaze shifted to the northern forest and then back to the front of the clearing. She would stamp her paw, glad to see kinship set in stone.

    * Maeve had indeed been perhaps hidden amongst those gathered and as Cairdeas settled near the lore master the youngster would head over to give her little brother a proud but quiet greeting, not wishing to interrupt the meeting’s proceedings! In traditionally sisterly fashion she’d have a go of chomping at his ears, though her ‘attack’ would be subdued, mixed with affectionate licks to his cranium! She missed the little fella, and was clearly proud of his progress in all these meetingly-stuff!

    * Shakira She would await the Alpha to speak first as rank and respect called for, and She would feel her heart soar as she looked to the silvery she-wolf with her own profound admiration, emotion clogging her throat as she swallowed several times before speaking her own heart aloud. “Likewise, I would not know the strength within myself if I’d not been gifted the chance to know Kova, little would I have known how bleak my life would have been without her strength and resilience through trials and strife. She has been a beacon and a solid foundation not only as my Alpha, but as my friend, and as the sister I never had in blood. I wish for all to know and see the bond that is shared through time and through dedication, love and hardship, and I wish to be bound in Spirit to my Alpha and my sister; now and forever.” She said as her chest puffed, her gaze holding steady on Kova before taking in those gathered and Fianna atop the stone.

    * Snarls rested her muzzle between her outstretched front paws as she observed the ants, the shadows of the day deepening making it more difficult to keep tabs on the movements. She was coming to realization her initial assessment was this was a full pack, perhaps larger even than she’d thought. No, she would remain outside and continue to observe without intruding upon lands not her own wherein she’d grown from a pudgy fluffball into a grizzled fae appearing far older than she was. She knew well enough twas not the time of year for a solitary fae to wander uncerimoniously into anothers lands. A death wish she did not have.

    * Cairdeas had realized in his question was pride but not the good kind, in this case he had averted his gaze after a moment. He did have some questions that were not as selfish pride but they also were not urgent. Seemed the young one realized only he could answer the question that sought validation in Rook momentarily. For now he too had put his attention where it should be, to the bonds of two, one he did not know well but had begun with his own barrage of questions and the Alpha whom he knew since he was a very young pup. To the words offered by both he felt a pull and he was becoming emotional. He would attempt to keep those emotions in check however he would stamp a paw in approval.

    * Fianna She would feel the swell of truth and emotion behind the words offered and her tail swayed as she nodded to them. “Deep are the words felt, and true is the bond made. As Beta, and in Kova’s stead, I am honored to name you both Spirit Sisters and to acknowledge it so before the pack.” She would lift her voice in a brief but heartfelt howl for them both and to the joy the night had brung so far!

    * Rook Just as he had before, he would offer his note to the Song and beckon it forth to bear witness to more naming of kin. Dedication and shared memory had made what blood and fate had not. What finer a thing could be witnessed than that?

    * Kova When their bond would be sealed before the pack and through their shared spirits, she smiled and stomped her paw then offered her voice to the sky. A low, soft howl would proceed and she would briskly nuzzle Shakira with a fondness shared between the two. “Sister” she said with equal measured tones. She would allow these happy moments to linger before turning and making her way back to the stone, but not before giving her sister one more nuzzle. Rising to ascend the stone she’d greet Fianna with a warm nuzzle in kind. For both this bond and hers to Cairdeas. As the moment would soften with tones and voices, she’d offer up another note for the meeting’s agenda.

“Another shorter announcement (sending a few to #ooc ); Those wolves who have held a training role are no longer training.” she glanced to the wolves present. “Moving forward, we will discuss training roles for the future, but as of now, the training has been sparse with short activity.” she’d say simply and lightly. It wasn’t a light matter, but it was light enough that it was a note to mention.

The next part would be heavy, so she’d allow a few moments to pass with the lightness in their hearts still.

    * Saskia smiled lightly, her heart wincing as she remembered her spirit sister who was nowhere to be seen. She missed the fae. To the shorter announcements, she would nod to but offered no words or concerns.

    * Faelcu The old fae listened as Kova and Shakira offered their words of their bond with one another. When the pack’s beta named them spirit sisters and offered her voice, Faelcu would do the same this time. She lifted her head back, and howled low into the sky. It was a short howl, but one to congratulate them both. She then lowered her head back down. Focusing on the alphess as she mentioned something about training roles. Alas, the roles in this pack were more complicated than she thought.

    * Kaia had been dead still and silent, when others howled she thought of joining them though her own howl was unknown to them and likely unwelcome so she’d keep her silence she was still no pledge. She nearly sighed at kovas words she’d wished to sit in on cairdeases training perhaps that would no longer be an option, and in truth she felt perhaps now she needed training, she looked down at her paws. She was beggining to question all she had known about being a wolf simply from passing through this stage yet beautiful pack.

    * Anfir No more crusty old jibs on the roster, huh? Wooo, he’d likely have to step up his game when he returned. That would give folks like, grumplestiltskins an opportunity to tune up the old grumblengines and rev up ye ol’ broody bearings, because he’d be giving him and everyone else a run for their money. Wait…what was money? Why had this become a capitalistic sesspot of hornswogglery?

    * Kova gentle breaths reached her ears at the stone but she remained standing there firmly placed. She took a low breath if only to do her best to mentally prepare for the later bit of the meeting. Her eyes fell to Fianna, Calder, Rook, and then to Shakira. She would chuff…  “Fianna, Calder and Shakira, please come forward.”

    * Calder there would be so much going on and so much happening he would follow suit and carefully observe the others reactions. His paw gently pushed to the earth and when he was called forward he would gently pick up the token Rook had given to him. He bowed his head to Rook and knew he’d watch his token carefully while he slowly turned and would brush his shoulder to Fianna the moment they would come together. He’d look to Shakira, bow his head to the lead huntress, before looking back to Kova. He felt his heart begin to pound within his chest.

    * Cairdeas tilted his dome and looked up as three were called up, another spirit bond? He had no idea this was the announcement he dreaded… That aside he looked on curiously and optimistically…

    * Leora her bright eyes would follow the wolves and when Fianna announced new spirithoods, she gruuued and happily barkchuffed for Shakira and Kova! The moment lasted as long as it would until she turned to see Fianna, Calder and Shakira called forward. Her heart began to fall to her chest slightly and the anticipation of what she knew was coming, would come. She gently pressed her paws against the two stones (not knowing she needed three!).

    * Shakira She would lift her voice and release a deep and full howl that seemed to pull straight from her very soul, family they had always been and now they would be in spirit before those of the pack that knew and were there to know. A final nuzzle was given to her sister before she would wait for her to ascend the stone once more and then she would turn to find her own place once more with the gathered. Listening intently to the next words offered, she would look to those gathered, but would hold no judgement or ill will in her gaze. When her name was called once more, she would be surprised but would rise once more to come before her Alpha and now sister, a curious tilt to her head as she perhaps sensed melancholy tones, a dip of her head given to the mated pair that would come to stand with her as well.

    * Fianna She had yielded the stone back to Kova when the Alphess had returned but had settled at its base to remain present as Beta, ready and watchful. She listened to Kova’s words about those in training, then she felt the chords of the words of the beginning of the new. She took a deep breath and she would move out to stand beside Calder, and look toward Shakira as well, slightly surprised to this for she’d not have had the chance to speak much with the older fae. But perhaps… perhaps. She nodded and would look up to Kova, standing ready and seemingly calm. Would reach to give a brief sneak of a nuzzle to Shakira as well, her tail swinging once and eyes alight.*

    * Rook What had taken months to prepare, and for some to miss, was now taking mere moments to materialize. He was not one to soon depart, but he felt his own chest tighten and quicken to the impending news to be offered. This was what it must feel like to be born, he thought. The unknown, the terrible anxiety of what was ahead, and the ignorance of not knowing that you could never go back to what once was. He found himself wanting to rise to his paws but focusing upon the sole choice of remaining steadfast.

*Grimolf An uneventful day for the grumpy ol’ brute that had been rather absent . Grim was heading back towards the Clearing noting that the was an ongoing event , a meeting or maybe even a hung perhaps He huffed deciding if he should even bother attending the thought of all those wolves . . . It would take the brute some time to reach the Stone especially with Grim taking his sweet time arriving

    * Kova When the three would approach the stone her nose would dip and her tones would be that of a serious nature with a well of emotion hidden behind. Her eyes fell to both her sisters now and then to Calder. How the burning in her heart could be felt, but a heat she stoked with compassion and understanding. She had to. “Tonight, we of WolfSpirits gather beneath the luminescent embrace of the moon and the gentle wind that carries breaths of old and new upon it, we stand together as one and as many. Generations come and gone, told and lived we remember. Tonight we shall remember the moments shared here and now for we must hold them close. We must embrace the moments we have for time will tick regardless of how well you are ready to see it’s sands slip. Tonight we are to honor three wolves who have chosen to embark on a journey not seen before in the pack.”

Kova she took a moment to allow her words to become subtle and gentle to their ears before she continued. What she would follow would be heavy indeed. “Fianna, Calder and Shakira, you have forged a great path with WolfSpirits. Your strength, honor, spirit, and creed to this home has been unbroken ever since you’ve pledged yourselves to this home. You have honored Kovo, our matriarch well and she would be so proud.” she glanced to the wolves now present. “These three wolves will embark on a journey north. The lands as we know have become the foreground of strife, challenge, and danger for several years. It is lands that we’ve claimed only to a point and will now see a new steward. A new heir to the lands of not just WolfSpirits, but the lands claimed in past by Faolan, Alpha of WolfSpirits.” she turned then to Fianna and Calder.

“Bonds of family are unbreakable. Though you part our home lands, this will not be the last we see of you, for you will always be welcome to WolfSpirits. As such, I would like the honor of naming you Fianna Beta of WolfSpirits, Steward of the North.” her hues fell to Calder. “Calder will also become Steward of the North along side his mate.” she now turned to the rest of the wolves. “I also invite and welcome new lands to be claimed in either name. WolfSpirits, or, in the forge of your own new path, Fianna and Calder, in the name as Alphas if that is your choice.” She turned to her sister, Shakira. “Shakira… you have been the matron of the hunt for as long as our past Lead huntress, Ayaka, had given her role to you to guard and uphold. The creed passed on. You have guarded, secured, taught, and sewn a great deal of knowledge, wisdom, and strength to many here to ensure our family survives. We are so honored and so proud to have had such a strong fae and wolfess at the lead of our hunts and hunters.” she’d pause only a moment before she’d continue.

“Time ticks against all of us. The sands and pages turn well beyond our control, and such time passes affords us with change that we may find so forthcoming that one might not be able to keep their mantle. You have confided within me, Shakira, that you wish to pass your role forward. You are wolf of great things, and with that I would like to have the honor of naming you Shakira, Elder of WolfSpirits. Shakira, you will remain Elder of WolfSpirits and what path lay before you in the north with Fianna and Calder, I will leave to you.” she would dip her head to her sister as she remained still and true. Her eyes fell to the wolves before her.

    * Faelcu Faelcu watched as each wolf stepped forward. At this point, the meeting was starting to bore her a tad but she still kept her eyes forward and ears open to the words of Kova, even if she wasn’t being spoken to directly. Who knows, maybe something important will be announced. It was better to stay and listen than just walk away. Not unless you wanted to get scolded like a pup or worse.

    * Anfir It was at this point that he’d see the stones at Leora’s paws and would likely realize the symbology…the symbolisssssm. Did she not know that he too was going north? Woof, she was gonna be one sour grape! He’d nudge into her lightly and continue to listen…it wasn’t like he was going to be gone for very long. Go north, beat up some older wolves, come back with a name.

    * Kaia raised her head to listen, they were headed north? Her eyes moved to cairdeas, she knew how It felt to lose a family member, and though fianna was well that distance was not an easy thing, not for one so young. She dug her claws into the ground clearly thinking. Was what she wished to do right? Was now the right time? When else? Why not now, but she needed to think and to ensure should she move to her feet she was really ready to do so… to let them rest, maby to fade the red stain on her soul or rather spirit.

    * Grimolf Ears twitched the growing noises , it definitely sounded like an lively event . Grimolf crossed over one of the many hills throughout the Clearing ; his yellow orbs staring ahead at the Alpha’s Stone and its large gathering ; a meeting . Another huff , followed by a grimace just the type of an event the brute dreaded even if he could benefit from it. Would anyone notice the brute quietly approaching from the North ?

    * Cairdeas had barely gotten to know the Lead Huntress, he still had questions. She was going too? His heart felt heavy and his gaze dipped momentarily, now his sadness made sense to those who had wondered. He would stomp a paw regardless to show his support for the mission regardless how he felt. His gaze lifted confidently once more. He needed Fianna to know he was alright despite this temporary goodbye. It felt like an end emotionally as the time was indefinite. He felt his chest tighten but he would not whine or whimper anymore. It was time to show the strength instilled and prove the scared pup he once was, was gone. His heart was full and she and the group resided there deep inside his own. One day he would again get his chance to speak with Shakira, Calder and his mother once more, he held onto that. His emotions were felt but he would not let them out here.

    * Faelcu listened closely as some sort of journey was announced. A journey between three well respected wolves in the pack. Though, the fae had to admit that much of Kova’s words grew lost in translation to her. It was like being hit by a ram full of information. The price of being new to the pack was that many things were unknown to her. Though she didn’t know any of the three called up personally, she silently wished them a safe journey to the North. Not all words were lost to her, and the mention of strife and danger from the North would definitely raise concern.

    * Rook If a grump grumped grumpily in grumptown, would the grumples of grumptown grumpingly grump? No, likely not, but Grimolf now had a finite time in which to grump or not to grump as was the question. His mentor, Rook, was focused upon those being named stewards and caretakers of his father’s realm, now theirs. To each of their names and to each of their newfound roles, he would stomp his paw to the ground. They would go with his blessing.

    * Panther After Fianna and Cairdeas were bound in spirit, it seemed Kova and Shakira were next. That soothed Panther’s mind a lot, for a second Panther thought something else was happening. Panther remained beside his mate, audits perked and listening. Fianna, Calder, and Shakira? His head tilted once more, confused. Something else was happening.. but, what? Panther was unaware. He continued to listen, and watch as the mated pair and the lead huntress gathered. Another journey North? A light glimmer of curiosity rose to his green orbs. Wait, were Fianna and Calder going to return? If they were to be alphas, if that was their wish, in the new land?.. Panther was confused, so very confused. Until, lastly, Kova addressed Shakira. What was going on? Anxiety rose within him, especially as Kova continued. Pass on her rank? He didn’t even know the creed yet, he’d press his flank into his mate. Anxious, confused, but also curious. Shakira was named Elder of WolfSpirits, and he would honor that, but he also wanted to ask her something after the meeting.

    * Kova She would allow her words of many things awash over those present. The weight grew heavy as she did her best to hold confidence and strength in her voice. The pack and the travelers needed the support and she’d be there to deliver. Always.

“As you stand at the threshold of this new beginning, I know that I do not stand alone in saying that love and wisdom, and the strength of the pack goes with you, always. You are the living testament to what it means to be a WolfSpirit. To be family.” her heart would begin to pound as she did her best to harden her resolve. She would see them again, yes, she would.

“Venture forward and remember the essence of your spirit is with ours. We are connected by the invisible weave of our stories, and those threads of loyalty and affection will span beyond time itself. Journey true, journey well, and go with the name of WolfSpirits, and forge the path you will find, for you are never alone. Go with my word and those who remain to keep our promises true to the family we’ve vowed to protect. Once a WolfSpirit, always a WolfSpirit.” she’d usher the last statement from Kovo herself. A phrase uttered to those who left on their own journeys. For as long as they needed time, or, until their last breath.

Her head tilted back and she’d let loose a low, long, heartfelt howl. A song that was meant for the ages. A monumental moment of sadness but strength. The pack was expanding well beyond and what new things awaited? There was much to come…. much to do…. and those who remained or went would soon know.

    * Mysticrain padding along her chosen path she approaches the clearing from the south west and when she reaches the treeline where she pauses she soon realizes a diffrence a Lot of other wolves are there. that in combination with the spring shed setting in might finaly allow iher to fullfil kova’s task. either way she better hop to it. pushiing into the open she heads north.

    * Saskia paws shuffled underneath her as she processed this new information. Three of the pack’s own was departing for the north yet how long was not specified. Why? They’d journeyed north before but the trip had been short. She looked between the trio, “How long will you be gone?..” She could only think of this question. Not of the honors of new roles or light of a new potential home. No – she could not look to that for solace, as the dark was too uncertain.

    * Kaia moved to her feet feeling a fool gor doing so she said nothing yet she had no desire to interrupt but she knew now what she wanted didn’t lie in the north if she left now she might never return and she wasn’t certain that was a risk she wished to take not now, but what to say? Or do?

    * Calder he would feel the web of many threads being tugged and pulled. He listened to Kova’s words and when they where done and a howl offered for their long journey, he’d lift his muzzle and howl. His tone a deep timber and a voice that would carry alongside the pack – together. He lowered his head and turned an ear to one who spoke. Saskia’s question found him and his head turned. He would not answer just yet.

    * Rowan She was present, for the most part. Some things peaked her curiosity, while other things she still listened to. She would need to train some more, that was for sure. Although, as the mated pair, and the lead huntress – her first mentor – was called forth, her yellow orbs returned to them and Kova. Confusion, but then recognition. They were to journey North, all of them. Then, she felt lost. She had meant to ask Fianna about training, but, she lost her chance. They were leaving. That was her own fault for not engaging, or asking when she could. She turned her gaze to Kova. She would’ve offered a stamp of her paw, but also a short howl for the huntress now Elder of WolfSpirits.

    * Anfir Would he catch a question in the midst of the howling? He could see Saskia’s mouth a movin’ but those howls were something loud and full. He’d wonder if anyone caught the actual words until Calder seemed to. Man, that dude’s senses were sharp. He’d have to learn a thing or two from him along the way…maybe earn some spidey senses!

    * Grimolf If no one noticed then that was more in the brute’s favour . Grim didn’t want any questions or stern gazes for being late ? Oh , well if he was late or not the brute was he so that must count . The scarred brute found a nice lonely spot amongst the crowd of wolves sitting down. Lip curled into a frown , he regarded everyone that was present ; his broody face expressing his true feelings .

    * Maeve had remained silent over the proceedings, staying close to Cairdeas’ side should he need her support. And while he was being rather brave she’d still brush her shoulder against his to let him know she was there for him. There were lots of questions that would await their parents, and hopefully a great many story to tell of the lands to the North. But she wouldn’t be outdone so easily. She’d just have to make sure to create plenty of stories of her own in the meantime. As the voices of the pack would rise, hers would join them. Unbroken by the emotion that threatened to choke the voice from her throat she’d stay steady. She was going to miss them dearly, but she wouldn’t be alone in that feeling

    * Snarls felt her ears twtich, again not sure she heard the sounds of a howl or the howl of the wind in the trees and upon the earth, the brambles twitching now and again yet remained unmoving enshrouded within the ever deepening shadows. Little ants moving in circles up and back.

    * Rook was keen on adding his own note to the Song once more. The occasion was momentous and the ause was great. His sister had given all that this pack needed of her and more. Now, it was time that they give to her the opportunity she yearned for and that called to her to fulfill. He did not catch the question amidst his own call, but perhaps he would when the Song dwindled.

    * Leora the page would still hold the dry ink of their announcement. She would take a deep breath and gently nose the stones closer to her frame before she would hear the howl. The howl of adventures that she, currently, was not to see fully through. She was given blessing to at least accompany them to as far north as she could go. She didn’t hear Saskia’s question either, but her eyes focused on those ahead of them.

    * Mysticrain even as she approaches she realizs something is up. then the howling makes it click, a meeting! is she too late again? worried she hurries her padfalls lowering her frame as she moves into hearing range and settles on the edge of the group

    * Kaia Kaia fell like an idiot standing up, she wouldn’t dare break the beautiful chorus of the packs howls with her own but she wished to ask kova if it was to late before the meeting was fully over.

Was she certain she wanted to do this? There were so many unfamiliar wolves that could pose a threat was she certain?…

    .
    .
    .
    Yes

    * Fianna When the full import finally dropped and Kova’s declaration made real and more so..* really real,* Fianna felt her heart squeeze and words fail her. Thankfully for a long moment she did not have to speak. She stood there before and surrounded by pack, her mate at her side and knew not what would come. But she took a deep breath and joining in the howl, at last turned to regard everyone, looking to Kova, and then out to Rook and Leora, and Maeve, and Cairdeas.. even to Redwing, and then the rest of the pack meeting each one’s eyes before moving on. She looked out and once the howls died down she would dip her head before them all. “This is not goodbye. Not truly for in spirit I remain among you. It has been my joy to get to know you all, to walk among you and share your burdens, to see your triumphs and your growth, to see pain but also the strength to get through it. This and more I know in my heart that Kova and Rook together will see you all through what is to come, as Calder, Shakira and I .. and any other Kova chooses to send, venture forth to the lands of my father.” A thrill went through her at that. “I take with me a seedling, the promise of a tree that can withstand memory and trial, time and the ages and paths to come. Should any of you wish to make a quest forth someday to those lands to the North, think on what memories you may wish to bring with you, to place beside and beneath this tree of memory as it grows into something that binds us all together.” She then looked up to Kova, emotion full in her gaze. “You honor me more than words to offer us the name of Alpha to the lands to the North. And even as we may lay claim to that for those who find us there and wish to stay their paws – you will always be my alpha, and sister. I will follow you in heart and in memory for you are wise even beyond your years. I hope to steward those lands as well as you have these, and keep the name of Wolfspirits one it deserves, strong and resolute.”

    * Shakira She would feel the Alphas words and the weight as it spread between the wolves and settled not just on one but on all of those that would choose to stay true and uphold the pack, whether here or in a new land. When her request was spoken aloud by the she-wolf and her blessing extended, she would once more feel the emotion well in her as the mantle was lifted and a new one replaced it, a new title and a new journey ahead, but she would take it in stride as she had when she was first named a Huntress. Grateful for the journey ahead to not be in solitude but surrounded with family and pack, she would press her shoulder into Fianna if she was close enough in the semblance of a human reaching for a hand to hold.

    * Kova She would feel the well of emotion in song and note. Cherish these moments she will and she’d ensure to take as much knowledge with her and share equally in turn before the trio would head off. “Whatever you need, do not hesitate to ask before you depart.” she said to Calder, Shakira and Fianna. She’d allow them the moments they needed before she would look back to all the wolves. “Tonight has been an eventful meeting, one of emotion and strength. True strength. I am so proud of each of you…” she bowed her head lightly before she looked across the gathered. “Before I conclude this evening’s events, does any wish to come forward with words?”

    * Anfir He didn’t have words to share with everybody, but when it was quiet enough he’d whisper to Leora “pssst..ppsssssssssttt! I’m going north with them, but I’ll be back. Don’t get all sappy and sad, k?”

    * Kaia “I-” kaia stuttered ‘Idiot’ she thought then she bowed her head low lower than she ever had to any wolf she had mer here to kova and eyes still closed she said. Calming her tone and speaking in a softed tone “is it to late for one to pledge at this meeting?” Her claws were digging into the earth but after that outburst she kept her voice calm her eyes closed were perhaps more to hide her own expression as well as to show her respect

    * Leora she would listen to all unfold. Song, tones, whispers. She to didn’t seem to pick up poor Saskia’s question, but when the songs died she heard one. Her brother ninny head. When he announced he was going north, she narrowed her hues some — PFff! He didn’t tell her!? Well.. now she’s going to have to find another stone! That’s ok. We’ll find more! She nudged back into Redwing and whispered. “I’m going to! But only as far as the border… so neh!” she wasn’t going all the way, but there was a tinge of sadness he was goin to. Yes, she’d miss her dear brother. When Kaia seemed to step forward and project her voice to pledge, her tail thrummed softly.

    * Cairdeas would have stood deciding to stand, “I have something to say,” he would say out loud after Kaia’s question was asked and taking comfort in Maeve’s presence aside him. He would wait but wanted to make sure he was heard.*

    * Grimolf Such raw emotions, such a heartfelt song ! Too bad someone in the crowd didn’t have a clue or even come close to sharing such sentiments . Grimolf adverted his gaze staring off into the distance somehow he felt even more out of place that’s what he got for being late and Kova’s last sentence confirmed his assumption . Biiiigggg stretch , he flopped down onto his belly letting his head nonchalantly fall onto his paws . Grim felt himself yawn despite having a full night’s rest just a few more moments and he can depart from this meeting .

    * Faelcu Safe travels, she thought. Tonight was definitely an eventful one, and one that left her full of questions. At least she learned a few things, like the names of three of those unknown wolves she smelled before. It was a shame they were already planning to leave, but that was how life was sometimes. Faelcu kept quiet, her gaze falling to the side for a moment. Upon hearing that two wolves had things to add after the announcement, she perked her head and glanced up at them- Kaia and Cairdeas. The young lass is pledging? She thought Kaia was adamant on leaving for the North to set on her own journey, but it seemed that Faelcu was proved wrong.

    * Saskia Her question was not directly answered but it didn’t need to be. She inhaled sharply and then exhaled, a shaky breath escaping her tight chest. Her words whisper ‘See you soon’ but her eyes betray a heartfelt tune. Saskia knew not of Fianna’s desire to see to the north and it’s riches – not to the extent of this, at least. She felt herself inhaling more and more until she leaned into Panther’s shoulder, burying her face in his warmth. Was this a farewell veiled in a comforting lie? Kaia’s tones found her auds and she turned to see them. Perhaps that conversation after the meeting was not needed, afterall. While Saskia held no intentions in begging someone that didn’t possess the desire to stay, stay, she had a silent hope that words shared would at least have a sway. Was she wrong for that?

    * Kova she’d manage to hear and see Kaia rise up and approach. Admittedly, she would be a little suprised the fae would request such so soon, considering their previous conversations but there was a gleam within her eyes. A knowing spark. This… this is what it was to be of pack. Growing, forging, and building new. “Kaia… newest wolf of WolfSpirits.” she began. “As you stand before the pack you wish to pledge to, pledge you shall. It’s meaning and path forward is to know and ensure that this pack is truly your home and where you desire to call family. It is to know your heart and be true to it.” she said lightly. “Do you accept the path of pledge, and what it means to learn and grow with us as one of us?” she heard Cairdeas and gave the lad a nod before her hues fell to Kaia.

    * Rowan Did anyone have things to add? She sure didn’t. She felt her gaze shift, observing all the wolves at the meeting. Although, with all the emotions brewing inside her, she felt her gaze settle on Grimolf. It didn’t seem as though he saw her, good. She didn’t want him to notice she had been emotional over someone’s departure towards the North – granted, she hadn’t had an outburst like him, she was still rather confused. She closed her eyes, and forcefully looked away. He’s not there, and he certainly didn’t see you. Her eyes opened, she wanted to return to the Hollow. She almost wished she had stayed there. She focused on the meeting again, she watched as the unfamiliar fae stepped forth and pledged herself. Then, Cairdeas spoke up. Afterwards, Kova spoke too.

    * Maeve At the question, and subsequent response about pledging still to the pack, even on a bit of a tardy answer, her banner would begin to wave softly behind her. Posture indicating she too would be interested in doing as Cairdeas had, but she’d not jump the gun yet, interested to hear the response from Kaia, and also her little brother’s words he seemed to wish to offer. But maybe some intense eye contact would indicate she wanted to be on deck for after her brother!

    * Fianna When she had said all she had to say the words running dry Fianna would nuzzle Shakira, very happy indeed that the newly named elder would be traveling and even more hopefully, staying, with her and Calder. The quest was not hers alone, it was not for her mere desire, but to see the pack safe from the evil that continually came from the north. They would finish it to such an extent that she and Calder would remain there as a bastion, steward and outlook for any who wished to come from that way. And she would find what her father had left, and it would be theirs. She settled by Rook, and her sister Leora, and the unnamed brother, and all those around, and she listened, and tried to breathe.

    * Rook Fianna answered what questions might have been asked quietly or aloud; those with legs and a will could walk…they just didn’t as of late. Although that was fine in the best of times or the doldrums that often found their way across these lands, the tradewinds that were long promised blew, and the ship was gliding across that metaphorical sea once more. He could and would do nothing for the heartache and the momentum that followed this news other than forge on. The news of Shakira leaving was news to him, however. It left a fairly sizeable gap in the ranks, but such had been the case before his father took and shaped that mantle. It could be done again, and the work to see that the young were trained had been fruitful for those young that were present. The need no longer outweighed the role. When his sister drew near, he would stomp his paw once more. “Well done, bear. We will meet again when the north is ready for the seedling. On that day, I will greet you and name you father’s heir. I have told Calder of the warning, and our brother knows and has seen the realm you now go to.”

    * Cairdeas stood where he was and inhaled a breath to calm him. It was time to say goodbye to the trio and show that he was ready to embrace change, “My heart hurts but equally I know it will remain full. Rook taught me memories are stronger than all else and you, especially Fianna are unforgettable. I promise to grow and live on in your absence till again we meet.” He would seat himself once more once words were said.

    * Anfir She was going north too? What the deuce?! What a bamboozler! “Well, then…mleh! :wolf_bratty_TFM: I’m going a little farther, but I shouldn’t be long. I gotta find a name before I can come back to make you stinkin’ jealous…and maybe proud.”

    * Grimolf Rowan would be spared Grimolf’s typical moody behaviour with the brute just staring on ahead no longer interested in checking out the remaining members attending the meeting . Grim despise his rather nasty expression wasn’t doing anything disruptive just attentively listening to the meeting with a couple of sentences causing his brow to raise . More talk of the North could this be the topic that the meeting was based on ? Then , why was everyone so emotional . . . That’s when the brute pieced it together: they were preparing to leave for the North .

    * Kaia would not interrupt his goodbye of all people cairdeas was a large part of the reason she was staying, then she’d raise her head to meet kovas gaze, she knew it was right for her.

She knew deep down she was not going to the north to live, but to join the rest of her pack burrief beneath the snow, but she wanted more than anything to live and so she’d beg for their forgiveness and join them in time but for now she looked up to kova and said.

    “I do accept this path”

    * Kova when the fae would offer her pledge she’d stomp her paw to the stone. “Then all who stand near and before you, know that you’re pledge is made whole and your journey to joining us now made known, I welcome you Kaia, pledge of WolfSpirits.” she’d then turn her eyes to Cairdeas, dipping her head to the pledge to speak but it seems he added his tones before she’d invite him to do so. She would shift her eyes at him and make a mental note to remind him of proceedings but she’d not blame him for wanting to share. A nod was given before she turned back to all. “Thank you each and everyone of you for attending. For ensuring our legacy lives on here, now, and beyond. Congratulations to our newest pledges, Elder and stewards of the North. ” she bowed her head lightly. “I conclude tonight’s meeting”

She would then descend the stone and begin to make her way to the rest gathered there. She’d linger and allow her presence to be felt by her sisters and Calder.

*Kaia “Thank you kova” she said quietly before returning to the edge of the clearing this time seeting alone glossy eyes in thought, she knew exactly why she’d done what she’d just done but in many ways she felt sad about her choice, even so it was right for her she knew that now. Then she lifted her head and waved her tail lowly offering cairdeas a tired smile should he glance her way.
