Pack Meeting Begins
Beginning Meeting on Discord
* Kova as her mate would come closer, she’d retreat from any higher point and come to brush her nose fondly along his muzzle and scruff. She’d observe his wound — how was it healing? Nicely, she hoped. Her tail ushered a soft sway before she’d nose his crown. “I’m to call a meeting. Hopefully the new wolves in the woods will hear it, to.” Her muzzle lifted skyward and she would let loose a low, but soft howl. A howl for a gathering to the clearing’s center. A gathering to the Alpha’s stone. As her howl would reach far and wide across the reaches of the forests and beyond, she hoped that several would heed it and so as she waited for others to collect. Her nose came to brush her mate’s crown before she’d turn back to the Alpha’s stone, Reaching the base, she slowly ascended it until she reached the end of it’s edge.
* Leora she held the stones firmly in her jaws as she would continue through the cavern. She would be quickkkkkk! Ech, what was stuck between her paws?? She could feel them in between her pads which caused her to kick, flick and wiggle her back leg. If only to dislodge it? Eventually she would reach the otherside of the hollows cavern and into those dark woods. Perhaps she could hear the verrrrry tail end of the howl? It was super faint, but a voice. She would aim to head further into the hunting grounds and out of the thicker woods.
* Rowan Rook’s dip of his nose hadn’t gone unnoticed, she’d offer a dip of her head in response. A glance was offered to the clearing, her yellow orbs looking for any newcomers. It didn’t seem like she found any, and therefore she’d heed the call for a meeting quickly. She’d settle upon her haunches, her attention settled on Kova. Eager to hear what may transpire, she glanced around, hopefully many of the other wolves had heard this call. Faelcu specifically.
* Cairdeas Well this was quite fortuitous though as the howl rang he folded his ears from the very close proximity. They quickly unfolded and he sat up straight his auditory sensors swiveling to the Alpha and Lore Master. It seemed it was a meeting night and thanks to him in his quest seeking others he had a front row seat. This time he was not gonna be so tardy to the party.
*Faelcu the fae strolled forward, nose hovering above the ground to search for any prey. She was quickly making her way back to the Southern woods. That way, it would be easier to stalk her prey compared to out in the open. As she moved forward, the scent of a rabbit greeted her nose which sparked her to keep moving. However… a howl? Now? Faelcu lifted her head, looking to the far West before glancing back at Kaia. She didn’t fully recognize the howl, but assumed it was from the alphess given the nature. The old fae didn’t forget what she said to Kova when she asked to join the pack, but she also wanted to fetch something for herself and Kaia to eat. With conflict in her eyes, she turned to face Kaia. “Should we go and see what the howl is for?”
* Panther rose to his paws, a howl for a meeting? The carcass would be fine for now, he glanced around, it didn’t seem like anything or anyone was around the carcass currently. Panther began heading towards the Clearing, his pace was quick, he didn’t want to miss anything.
* Kaia knew the howl, being the same howl she had heard during the packs hunt, she sighed lifting her head “I suppose we should” she turned her head toward the clearing where the howl had come from.
* Faelcu With that, Faelcu changed course and began trotting West towards the clearing’s direction at the same pace. Though she was slightly annoyed, this was a gathering howl which meant something important was happening. She might as well go on and see what it was about since Faelcu was staying on the territory. Maybe then the old fae would also see some wolves in the Hunting Grounds also heeding Kova’s howl?
* Kaia followed cautiously behind faelcu though once they reached the clearing kaia wouldn’t fully enter, instead she’d stay within the treeline her back to a tree, not out of sight completely, atleast not to those paying attention. But the fae had no desire to draw unwanted attention to herself especially in another pack’s territory.
* Panther Depending on where Faelcu and Kaia are, they may notice Panther. The brute wouldn’t slow down if he saw them, he was too busy hoping he didn’t miss anything. A soft exhale escaped him, and he’d continue towards the Clearing, perhaps noticing a couple new wolves. One he recognized as Faelcu, the other wasn’t recognizable.
* Rook The gentle and brief exchange with his mate was a welcome one, and he would happily take his spot alongside those that wished to join the meeting at is began. He wished to offer up his voice with his mate’s but he would remain as he was and rest a voice still scarred. As for the outer wounds, they were progressing and nearly healed for as much as they could and would. Any further need of his would be settled in time and time alone.
* Faelcu may have given Panther a glance of acknowledgement, but that was it. They both seemed to be heading the same way, anyways. Fael and Kaia would’ve still had to cross a river to get to the clearing, but their journey to the forest that bordered the clearing’s East side was a short walk, fortunately.
When the pair did cross the river and make it to the other side, the old fae would only move a few steps past the treeline to gaze into the open fields ahead. She was studying each wolf that was there, both in caution and curiosity. There were wolves in there for sure she didn’t recognize, but some she did. Those familiar faces would only be enough to make her move a few paces more into the clearing as she watched the gathering from afar for now.
* Kaia would likely spot panther recognising him emidiatly from the previous day As the one who stared at her and hearing her own name briefly from rain. She’d try not to be noticed still not fully hiding as appearing like a threat could be more dangerous than being seen. So she settled on the edge of the clearing keeping a keen eye on gathering wolves making sure she had a thick stumped tree behind her guarding her flank.
If kova spotted her kaia would bow her head briefly, though if not she would simply keep an eye on the surrounding pack wolves who emerged. She knew she was most likely safe but it was hard not to feel on edge, every so often she’d glance back to faelcu.
* Kova as the wolves began to gather or heed the call from the woods, she would’ve remained at the top of the stone peering out across the open expanse. As each wolf collected among the rest, she’d seat herself upon the stone and dip her head. “Thank you all who have heeded the call for a gathering and meeting.” her hues fell to those who where present firstly, then turned to the wolves therein. “First I would like to start this meeting with advancements. I would call forward those who have requested to join our fold to come and make yourself known to the pack and those you wish to call family.”
* Ophaelos would have been resting in the southwestern portion of the forest that was on the outskirts of the clearing. The brute was awake and would hear the call for a meeting, and rise from his stomach to meet it
* Cairdeas waited patiently to see if any of the new wolves would step forward to join their family. He himself was nowhere near ready, still trying to learn the difference in fact. He just liked observing to see what it meant to be ready.
* Faelcu The old fae kept her distance, causing the words of the alphess to sound faint to her. She could barely make out what the silver hued fae was saying as Fael kept moving further away from the Eastern treeline. Join our fold? Is that what she said? The last words of the alphess would be the most clear to her as she shuffled closer towards the stone’s direction.
I said I would join the pack, did I not? Faelcu felt a bit nervous to proceed, but she dragged herself towards the Alpha’s stone anyways. The old fae wasn’t one to go back on her word, so once she deemed herself near enough, Faelcu glanced up at the alphess. “I would like to pledge,” she said in a firm tone, not showing her true feelings through her tone or expression.
* Klara had taken to resting at the den during the late afternoon. By the time the evening swung around, the fae pup was still dozing outside of the den. She had been absent long enough to miss the call for a hunt and a bounty felled, but she may have stirred just in time to hear a howl from the clearing! A familiar one… a meeting? She’d only participated in a few, but knew what that howl meant by now, and would yawn and slowly rise to go toward the alpha stone to see what called for a meeting.
* Kaia remained at the edge making to move she watched faelcu enter the clearing, kaia had no wish to do the same though she was almost sad to see faelcu join. Still it was her decision and kaia hid her own feelings expertly she had done so many times before. She watched the ongoing not hidden just on the edge of the clearing waiting to see kovas response.
* Rook It was here and now that he’d turn his gaze to see some or perhaps several wolves keeping to the edges of the clearing? This would be well out of normal conversation range, but they had come when beckoned. A couple new faes were present, and perhaps they would come forward just in time to hear the offer of becoming pledged? He’d make a note to meet them regardless of their intent…strangers in the territory could not be strangers long.
* Panther Panther would’ve entered the Clearing, behind Faelcu and Kaia, a glance was offered to Faelcu one of acknowledgement. Upon entering the Clearing, he’d find a suitable spot to settle on his haunches. It seemed Faelcu was pledging herself to the pack, a watchful gaze would shift from the visitor towards the alphess.
* Cairdeas was glad to see Faelcu go up and had no ill to say. He had interrogated her yesterday and found her quite interesting. He had a front row seat for the goings on. Klara may have saw her brother near the front but seated there. He was not pledging if she wanted to join him.
* Rowan yellow gaze had settled on Kova, ears perked as she listened to the voice offered. A light nod, she would’ve heeded the call wherever she was, besides she had already been looking for Kova anyway. Hopefully after the meeting, if she wasn’t tired, she could possibly speak with Kova. Although, currently she focused on the meeting and the wolves approaching. Faelcu, Panther, and was that another newcomer? Even if she noticed them, she’d look back to Faelcu and Kova. The former was pledging herself, what would the alphess say? Rowan looked back to Kova, hopeful.
* Kova she’d wait a top the stone and her hues fell across the wolves who heeded the call and would listen to the winds tone for those who would seek membership into their fold. Who would step forward?
She scanned her eyes across the wolves and there a tone reached her. Faelcu. The newest of the fae’s to have joined their territory in sight and sound. Her paws shifted beneath her a moment and when she requested to pledge, she dipped her head and welcomed her forward. “Faelcu, fae from the north woods. I welcome you forward to stand before the pack as you request to pledge. As a pledge of WolfSpirits, you will learn if this is the pack you truly wish to belong to. Pledgeship lasts for a month, and if you are ready, then you will advance to the next stage. If you agree, then I would like to have the privilege of naming you a pledge of WolfSpirits.” her paw rose up and stomped the stone.
* Klara The yearling fae didn’t know if she was arriving late or on time, but Klara would make her way over quietly to not draw attention to either of those facts. Her eyes searched for those familiar, but seemed more focused on those who were not… when did these strangers arrive?… When golden eyes settled on her brother’s tawny figure, she’d pad her way over before sitting beside him. She wanted to say hello and do her usual greetings, but she knew it to be disrespectful to talk during meetings when Kova was speaking, especially so when others were requesting something from her. Plus… she knew it was impolite to interrupt anyone when they were speaking, so she wasn’t about to start doing it now! By the time she sat down, she would catch the name of one of the new wolves. Faelcu… her eyes would settle on the she-wolf’s frame, studying her with both curiosity and suspicion, though it was mostly the former.
* Ophaelos The brute would have made his way over quietly, eyes focused on the wolves gathered toward the center and around the stone, drifting only toward the figures on the outskirts, namely Klara, whose frame was not-so-sneakily slinking over! With a few more padfalls, Ophaelos would reach the stone and take a seat by himself toward the outer ring of the wolves gathered. He was simply here to observe, and it would seem that Faelcu was pledging herself… who else would? Would the Scout-in-training notice a few other unfamiliar faces about?
* Faelcu Fae from the North, huh? The fae was quite the opposite of a Northerner. Literally, in fact. She came from many miles down South, but she wouldn’t say anything about that. Faelcu would have her head lowered out of respect when the alphess spoke. She listened to her words carefully, and would lift her head only when Kova was finished. “If you will allow me to join, then I do wish to be named a pledge,” she kept her firm tone, her heart secretly pounding. It felt like she had been put in the spotlight in front of a bunch of wolves she didn’t know, which she was. It has certainly been a while since I last felt this nervous about anything…
* Kaia amber eyes strayed from faelcu a moment. In the shade she was not easy to spot however it was clear enough she wasn’t from the region with her dark fur and the white tips that ran up from her underbelly framing her eyes with white. Though she did not know it she was the only dark phase wolf to enter the region. catching apon other wolves in the area, then back to faelcu. Her claws sunk into the earth slightly, she was actually joining. Kaia wasn’t to surprised but she felt perhaps she should go she was not a member of this pack nor did she intend to pledge so she likely didn’t belong at this meeting.
* Rook North was a hopping and soon to be dropping place…Had the slip up not actually happened or had it been a slip up at all, he’d think little of it. If, in fact, the fae was from the east, then he was sure to make note of it and leave what reason there was for that to just himself and the setting pieces therein. What mystery was there when folks could read inner monologue? Rook supposed he likely couldn’t make out a dark wolf in darkened tree line, but from such a distance the stone and those around it would be small and detail scarce. If Kaia wanted to know and see more, she’d have to make herself known at some point. As it was, from this distance, there’d be little pressure to do that.
* Kova she would dip her head to the fae who was slightly more seasoned then their normal lot who came forth from the woods. Most where “northern” but this fae was different in her path and to her, she recalled this (even though human did the typo). “The fae of the northern path lay elsewhere, for I acknowledge the fae from the eastern/southern path, I invite you to learn our ways while you are here, so that you can better understand the home you desire to join.” she said lightly. “A pledge you are named, Faelcu.” She’d be unaware of the lingering fae Kaia, for the moment she was focused on those who would heed the call to come forward and pledge, and thus far it had only been the slightly older fae.
* Faelcu bowed her head after being named a pledge by the alphess. She felt a small bit of relief in herself, but still mostly felt nervous. “Thank you,” she said in a more quiet voice this time, but still audible. With that, Faelcu moved off to sit off to the side, keeping a fair distance from any other wolves to the South side of the stone.
* Rowan A slight tilt of her head, Northern? Faelcu wasn’t from the North, was she? A wayward glance was given to the Sídhe fae, but she didn’t think much of it as Kova corrected herself. She nodded, and smiled softly towards Faelcu, a way to say ‘You did it!’. Rowan was glad the fae decided to pledge herself to the pack. Another glance around, it didn’t seem like anyone else was going to pledge? She also didn’t notice Kaia, she was too focused on the meeting and everything happening.
* Cairdeas changed position, standing in place and stamping a paw for Faelcu. She would make a fine edition His interrogation attempt had actually made him quite relaxed around her. He slowly haunched himself once more.
* Acrux Uncurling herself from her lazed rest, she’d stretch her form, adjusting her sights around the clearing she lay in. With a subtle push onto her fours, she’d attune her ears to the noises around her. Where was everyone. She’d perk her crown back, raising her snout to the sky to give a gentle howl, asking for an invite to someone’s location.
* Rook One firm stamp was given for the fae of the eastern wood newly named pledge before he glanced about those present once more. A thin crowd.
* Cairdeas folded his ears once more at an interrupting howl from right within the clearing where everyone was. This made him nervous as well. His gaze momentarily travelled to Acrux then back o the stone.
* Kova she’d grin and stomp her paw lightly once more to allow the fae to return back to the other’s in the fold of the gathering. She would cast her eyes once more to the wolves present and see whom heeded the call, and who would “Does any other wish to come forward and pledge before I move on?” she said in lightness.
* Kaia was close enough to where her and faelcu had stood entering the meeting to her the goings on, still she held her tongue. She had made her decision to move on once winter had met its end and it was final. Still she glanced around the clearing and briefly to faelcu though she didn’t hold her gaze their long before looking around at other wolves. She did not particularly wish to look to the older fae her emotions where concealed enough by her current calm appearance but she knew aud intended to pledge likely at the next meeting, and winter was almost over so she herself would soon be gone from the territory. So she watched getting slightly closer to see better the other wolves.
* Faelcu looked around at the wolves who stamped their paws after she was made a pledge. Was that how the pack congratulated others? It was another new thing to Faelcu. There are definitely a lot of things she’s yet to learn which is to be expected when joining a new pack. Faelcu maintained a neutral expression, briefly glancing behind her when Kova sought for other newcomers who wished to pledge. The old fae had her doubts that Kaia would join with how skittish she was, but she was still curious to know if the fae would actually step forward.
* Panther It seemed there was only one wolf willing to pledge? It seemed like only one wolf was willing. Perhaps that was for the best? A glance would be offered to the trees nearby, but it didn’t seem like anyone else was willing to pledge. Regardless, his gaze would return to Kova.
* MysticRain jump up as she awakens quickly loks around and realizes panther must have run off to the meeting andshe hopes. tried to wake her up. not waiting a heart beat longer she races across the plains of the hunting grounds at full tilt until she reaches the trees seperatign the two open fields from one another and starts weaving through the trees at as a paces as the terrain allows
* Cairdeas began to look back and forth. Was there anyone else going to pledge? Even if not he had Faelcu to talk to, her taking that step likely made it easier to approach for him. He still kept his auditory sensors forward listening for how the meeting would progress.
* Kaia paused a while, then she moved slightly closer to where faelcu was, she was clear enough to see though she remained on the verge she had no intention of plenging. And so faelcu could hear is she made a small stamp into the floor as the other wolves had done as a show of respect, she offered a slight smile then went back to watching the meeting. Perhaps that would give faelcu her answer, kaia had never planned to join, after all… she was just passing through
Faelcu saw as the fae emerged from the treeline to congratulation her with a paw stamp. The old fae would dip her head to Kaia, silently. It seemed like she didn’t wish to pledge, after all. Faelcu wouldn’t be too surprise as she watched the fae step back a bit. Her attention would then focus back on the alphess and the current meeting.
Rook There were other matters to attend to in time, but some that he had hoped to see or encounter were not here. There was still enough time left to not worry over it just yet. When there were enough wolves or when there were enough of those he wished to speak with, then what was planned could be enacted on. For now, he’d likely begin getting itchy paws and the growing will to move rather than sit.
*MysticRain weaving among the trees she crashes through a couple of small bushes as they only have small branches and she doesn’t wat to go around. upon reachign the river she jumps most of the way then bounces then leaps up the other side where she races through the barre forest before bursting out of the treeline as if being chased bear or something. it certainly feels that way. what Ia time to sleep trough a sommoning howl.
* Kova as no others seemed to speak up or come forward, she would look to the rest before shifting her weight equally among her paws.
Part 2
“As no others have come forward, then I would like to announce a few more things.” she peered to the wolves gathered.
“Remember to seek your mentors, Assessments. There is a fresh kill just to the east of the hunting grounds, below Kovo’s hill that welcomes hungry mouths. We will be hunting again soon, so prepare to sharpen your teeth.” her tones low but welcoming.
“This is a fairly shorter meeting this evening, but I do appreciate those who heeded the call.” she looked to her mate softly, then back to the rest. “Stories to come and another gathering in a few weeks time. Until then” she stomped her paw to the stone. “Keep your ears and eyes on the horizon for we’ve had several new wolves appear in our territory. So far, all has been in welcoming spirits.”
“If no one wishes to speak or bring up a report, then I will close this meeting for tonight.”
