Pack Meeting Begins
* Kaia wasnt much of a fan of eavesdropping, still if it was out here it certainly wasn’t secret and perhaps if close enough she would have caught the shared words. “Well met luna, no need for secrecy you are here allowed to be and seen to be” she said with a brief smile. When a meeting was called kaia would dip her head to luna and settle a little distance away. She was not feeling the best, parents left her oddly numb, she’d not deny company though for now she sat alone close enough that she could hear her mentors words.
* Leora the light colored fae was in the course so it took her but a few steps really until she entered into the clearing. Oh there were quiet a few! It was here she heard a call from Kova. A gathering? Oh, she swung her tail happily behind her unaware of the tensions prior. She saw her brother among and near the stone so she’d obviously go in that direction.
* Luna nodded her head to Kaia’s words and decided to move closer once Kova gave the howl. She got up and padded closer to the Alpha Stone, she made sure she was a good distance from Grimolf, but gave him a head nod and she hoped he could see her remorse and hoped he might talk to her after the meeting. She brought her attention back to Rook and Kova, she would glance around occasionally, to see who else might be joining the meeting.
* Kallik As Kallik entered the clearing from the east (she had not been far into the forest), would she see the gathering wolves at the alphastone? If so, she would head that way in a light trot, blood staining her muzzle; not just her own, but the round squirrel’s too. Although, she was quite sure it wasn’t a squirrel, as its build seemed ill fitted for a life in the trees, and more for sitting in quiet contemplation about what to eat for supper.
[ Grimolf : :blkwolfstare: ] After everything was said and done Grim’s let his gaze raise from the ground noticing that they’d left him . That must’ve been a sign , it was over no more words and stern stares for the brute . Grimolf shook his pelt letting his demeanour return to its neutral stance with the brute walking off to find somewhere to sit for the meeting .
Luna was in the corner of his one good orb : good for her . Grin returned the nod not bothered she was keeping her distance . Where was Rowan ? If she was nearby then maybe she’d left him after witnessing his shame .
After some deliberation Grim found somewhere close to the others and sat down getting ready for a meeting .
* Kallik As she approached, she heard her name mentioned. The fae tilted her head as she padded foreward, wondering what was happening. She hadn’t even known this meeting was happening not three minutes before, and now she was being called up with Leora? What would happen? When she was in front of the apha, she bowed her head and stood in silence.
* Rook would have had a fleeting moment to feel the light of his kin relieve some of his anger, but it was replaced with curiosity at her being called ahead. Perhaps…, he thought.
* Kova as the dark hued fae approached she shifted her paws lightly beneath her before giving a nod. “Kallik, you have been a pledge with us for longer than expected, and Leora you have been a true presence amongst our home since your birth.” she smiled. “I would like to ask you now, does your journey continue with WolfSpirits?”
* Leora she would look to her brother quickly then back to Kova. When the question was asked of her desired path she would not hesitate. “I wish my journey to continue with WolfSpirits, Alphess.” she looked to Kallik as the fae joined her. A soft expression given and a nod before looking back ahead.
* Kallik Though she had only moments to respond, Kallik knew in an instant what her answer would be. “I hope that to be the case,” she said respectfully to the alphess. This was one of the few times her respect was given wholey, because she’d seen Kova enough times to know silver fae was just and deserving of her title. Then the coal fae wondered what would happen next, was this some sort of ceremony?
* Kova when the response was given she offered a warm and confident smile. Her tones drew neutral and followed. “As an assessment, you will grow alongside the pack as not one to wander and be present, but to -be- present and be a part of the pack in growing and knowing our ways. You will be given a mentor, and your mentor Kallik will be me. Leora, your mentor will be Rook Lore Master of WolfSpirits.” her gaze followed the fae’s a moment. “As your mentor and given mentor, we will guide you in the ways of the pack. In the rules, in the creed, and a few tasks given in kind to help you along your journey. If you grow idle or absent, then you will be removed entirely from Assessment and will need to repledge. Do you accept your new path?”
* Kaia smiled faintly, her mind was still on faelcus departure. But for now she pushed that from her head. Kallik and leora were both Important to her, they deserved her full attentions. So she’d smile and if either of them turned eyes to her they’d find nothing but joy and perhaps pride
* Leora when the new path was given to her to choose from, she would give a slow nod of her head. A confidence exuded from the light colored fae. “Aye, Alphess. I accept the responsibilities and the path forward. I accept gladly my b-, the Lore Masters teachings and I look forward to growing, building and learning the ways further of the home I was born to.” her tail would wave almost a mile a minute but stilled out of politeness and respect to the meeting .
* Rook A beaming pride would overtake him to his sister’s advancement and acceptance of him as her mentor. He was also grateful and happy for Kallik as she accepted the same fate with his mate. He would have forgiven Leora for calling him by the familial title, and he preferred it more from her than what must be a fairly stilted title to voice. Now, there were five assessments, and with them came a lingering promise. Just where were his assessments, he wondered? He’d not yet take a full sweep of the clearing, preferring to keep his eyes upon his sister, Kallik, and his mate.
* Kallik The shock hit her like a cold tide but it quickly disipated, and her reaction would only hold such surprise for a moment before washing into happiness. She dipped her head to Kova and smiled at Leora with ears pricked and eyes beaming. Was this what it was like to belong? Because if it was, she wanted a whole ocean of it. “Th-thank you, Alphess.” Flicks ear at the little insect.
* Kova as the fae would admit her hearts desire to continue to be in their fold she gave a smile and a dip of her head. Her paw rose up then lowered onto the stone in a stomp. “Then, I would like to have the honor of naming you an Assessment of WolfSpirits, Kallik and Leora. May your path be true and your heart true to the journey you’re now a part of and one step closer to being in our home as a member.”
*Kaia As soon as it was announced kaia planted her paw firmly against the ground. This was a nice reminder or why she’d stayed. And kallik would be joining her under the same mentor. She’d dip her head, as she did to show high levels of respect low to the earth eyes closed before lifting it with a beaming smile. Though it soon enough occurred to her about luna, she’d meant to ask if the fae wished to pledge, but whatever she decided she’d have kaias support and aid where it could be offered, true they were world’s apart, to separate lives but this was not kaias homeland and she did not hold the bitterness nor resentment her mother did, alteast not do blatantly. No she was happy, luna had clearly been trying to learn, she’d picked up their greeting and notified the alphess of silverlunes presence. If she did pledge kaia would perhaps keep an eye on her progress with great interest.
* Kallik Now that the excitement was mostly over, she was a bit awkward. She turned her head and spotted Kaia, approaching the speckled fae with a small smile. The fae gave a little wolfish laugh and said, “though I have been here longer than you, I finally rest my paw in a secure place, after you. And though I never said it before, congratulations to you aswell for making it this far. Kallik dipped her head.
* Rook would stamp his paw twice for each new assessment when they were named. Afterwards, he would wait for his sister to rejoin him. “Well done, assessment sister. I have your first task ready and waiting.” He’d not say just yet what that task was. Instead, he would invest his focus back upon his mate and the proceedings.
* Kaia would smile and in a hushed voice “I am greatful you found your place here and set it to be so, and glad you took the time needed to make that choice “I owe you much kallik, I am greatful to share my assesmentship with you under the same mentor. Congratulations truly” Then she’d turn eyes back to the alphess letting her mentor hold her full attention.
* Leora she gruued and smiled to her brother. She was eager indeed to continue her journey and in the light of her brothers mentorship! She would smile to Kallik and look then to the others.
* Kova as the other wolves would settle, she would dip her nose and smile softly to Kallik and Leora allowing both of them to depart to their desired place to seat themselves. Her eyes lingering on the golden colored fae a moment more before turning then to the other wolves present. “I would open it now to those who wish to request to join our pack.” her gaze scanned the wolves.
* Kallik to Kaia she would reply, “you owe me nothing, and even if you did, it was paid in scars, for which I regret. With these words and the craze dying down, she once again noticed the sting of her muzzle, and pointed her eyes upon it to spy two, kinda-symmetrical flurry of clawmarkes upon both sides of her once spotless muzzle. Oh well, more trophies of stupidity it seemed!
* Cairdeas The young wolf had been along the river but south of the clearing upon hearing a call he thought it might be a hunt or a meeting. Since he was not purposely avoiding anyone he decided even if it was a hunt he should let them know why he was not hunting and if it was a meeting it was good to be in the know. He immediately headed off but it would take him longer with his favoring of his left leg. As the young one broke the clearing he silently observed before realizing it was a meeting. In silence he took a seat near the rear. He knew some would notice but he was not trying to be invisible, just not interupt.
* Luna felt an attack of nerves, she was told that she had until the next full moon to decide if she wanted to pledge. She thought for a moment, she couldn’t see herself going back to her home pack. Luna took a breath and stepped forward and slowly made her way to the front. “Met and well met Alpha Kova and Rook.” She began, “I would like to become a pledge if you would so allow it.” She said.
* Kaia smiled and in a whisper “I owe you the strength in me, and know should you ever need it you shall find it” Perhaps to any who did not know kaia nor her way might get the meaning if this roughly. But she meant you held my side, gave me strength when without you was fear that much is owed, and to always be repayed. Though that much sat in kaias mind. Kaia would then look to luna, a smile across her face. It had been said, and interested kaia. And she’d be there for encouragement if it was needed.
* Rook Rook’s ears would perk as he looked to Luna. There were two ways of seeing that greeting, and he chose the lesser of the two graciously. He was sitting next to his sister among the other wolves because that is where he belonged and felt most comfortable. That didnt’ mean he wouldn’t dip his nose to Luna from his vantage and listen to her state her wish to become pledge. Good on her, he thought.
* Kallik The dark fae pricked her ears at the sound of Luna, and turned her head to the unscathed fae upon her statement. She gave a warm smile to the odd white wolf, giving a small nod of her head in encouragement. Though she was quite joyful at the moment, mostly sleepless nights and long trudges left her tired and quite unkempt. So, she licked her chest fur as best as a wolf could to try to look a bit more presentable.
* Kova her hues fell towards Luna and when the new fae approached she’d feel her fur straighten and her eyes fall into a curious expression. She would greet herself as well as Rook, and would dip her nose and smile. “Luna” she called forward. “We call meetings and gather here at this stone. During such times we announce special events and advance wolves who wish to join our fold, by me the Alphess.” She began. “As a pledge of WolfSpirit, this is the time to ensure that your heart desires to join Wolfspirits. A pledge will learn the ways, but it is also a time to know in your heart that you wish to continue your journey with us. It lasts a month and activity is important.” she added. “As you have requested this to be your path, then I will gladly accept you as a Pledge, Luna.” she would stomp her paw to the stone.
* Kaia would stamp her paw and dip her head in half to luna, thumping her tail lightly on the earth as an invite to sit beside her if the fae wished. Saskia had lent kaia such a thing upon her pledge and she’d been greatful for it that day, it was only an Invite and did not need to be taken but there to be used when it was needed. Though she’d keep quiet for not still giving the alphess her full attention.
* Luna smiled and dipped her head in thanks. “Thank you Alpha Kova.” Luna said with a grateful smile and a tail wag. Luna gratefully took Kaia invitation to sit next to her, she made her way near Kaia and Kallik and sat near them.
* Cairdeas would stamp a paw for Luna, though he would haunch himself also to leave less stress on the bad paw. He would again shift his attention back to Kova. His gaze rested there.
* Leora she would swing her tail as she looked to Luna. As she was named a newer pledge, she grinned. She hadn’t had a chance to really speak with the fae much but was excited to see her advance.
* Kova her hues fell to Luna as she would offer thanks. She dipped her nose to the fae and smiled lightly.
“Your welcome, Luna.” she would grin before allowing her to return back to the others gathered or her preferred seat. “Does any other desire to bring forward a note for this meeting?”
* Rook would stamp his paw to Luna’s pledgeship and remain standing when his mate asked if any other had word. He would chuff to his mate and wait to be heard.
* Kova she would smile to her mate and she heard his chuff. She dipped her nose and ushered him forward to speak.
* Rook would dip his nose to his mate before turning back to his sister, Leora. He likely would catch sight of those sneaky few that made their way in while he wasn’t looking, and he would give each a dip of his nose before returning his gaze to Leora. “We will have an early Summer’s Lore Night next to the pools at the Fountains of Passing, and as your first task, Leora, you will lead us in it. Bring your tales, songs, and poems and barter them wisely against Leora’s own chosen tale in a night of a story for a story.”
* Leora she would swing her tail ever so softly and when her brother looked to her, she perked forward. When she was given her first task her eyes lit up and she gave a warm expression to her brother. She stomped her paw lightly. “I will gladly lead it.” she had to swallow her nerves! That felt like a big responsability, but she would be up to the task. What story would she choose…
