Pack Meeting Begins

* Atraya it didn’t take long for her to reach the clearing from her new found location. When she did she would make quick work for the distance from the treeline to the alpha’s rock, and there, she would let loose a low howl. A howl for a gathering.
* Kova an ear turned to the sound of a howl and there she saw the owner. Atraya would approach from the eastern edge of the forests treeline and there she would slowly press her paws int othe soil to rise. There would only be a few grimaces of displeasure to the movement as she would make her way towards the rock now. She was again a three legged wolf as she hopped along the tall brown grasses to make her way to the rock. When she was there she would recline down nearby and dip her head softly in a greeting “My alpha, I am here.” she announced now taking stock of anyone else who’d appear.
* Shakira would also be resting fairly near the carcass just within the wooded area that divided the Clearing from the Hunting Grounds, unaware yet that Nightshade had come to help guard the packs kill, though as she roused herself from her slumber she might catch sight or scent of her as she rolled from her side to her stomach and pushed herself up to a slouched sitting position, rolling her shoulders to work out any kinks
* Shakira that had set in during the night. Just as she was about to make her way back out to the kill site, the Alphas unmistakable howl rang loud and clear from the direction of the Clearing, a summoning call that could not be ignored. With a quick glance around the area where the kill lay to ensure no predators were near, she would perhaps notice Nightshade and give a short nod in greeting before turning to make her way
* Shakira towards the Clearing.
<Faolan> Fitting that he should be returning from the north to the tune of his mother’s call. He had left at the close of the previous meeting with an urge to find a story of his own. Whether that had been a success was a matter of telling; something that he might or might not do. The sound of his mother’s voice urged him to speed along the grassy path through the meadow and forest between him
<Faolan> and the clearing.
* Atraya would wait the needed time for the wolves to find her call and heed it. She would flick an ear to the sound of another and Kova’s scent greeted her. She would offer a gentle dip of her head and a smile in her direction to greet the fae. The smell and scent of others started to greet her now and she remained seated there until she could be sure there was ample time for those who wanted to heed the call, would and could get there before she began. She did her best to keep herself situated on the top of the rock.
* skydancer lying near the Lake just simply watching across the Lake when she suddenly hears atrayas howl. perking up her ears for a moment she doesn’t only needs a moment to get to her paws and quickly starts towards the Clearing
* Kova smiled to Atraya and then returned her gaze out towards the others who where slowly starting to make their way to the clearing. Her hues momentarily glanced at her leg then back up again. “I can sense skydancer near, as well as Nightshade and Shakira to.” she uttered to Atraya. Trying to help give her count.
* Nightshade would noticed a scent of Shakira next to her, a howl was sounding the surrounding, loud enough that make her awake and raised up on fours and would follow her to the clearing as she would lead
* Atraya she would wait a few more padfalls, allowing the others to get to the clearing before she began.
* CwnAnnwn had been in and out of the packs territory since his return and now found himself returning just in time for a pack gathering it seemed. Though he had not got around to requesting to rejoin the pack yet, he still picked up his pace to at least be there for the meeting. The silver male loped along the creek leading towards the clearing from the west side of the territory.
* Rune At the sound of Atraya’s howl it would seem as if the Clearing would come to life, Rune’s own ears perking to the call. Picking her frame up off the earth she shakes her pelt free of any debris that it had gathered from the forest’s floor. She hadn’t been directly on the Clearing’s edge but was near the pond, tending to some of the herbs she had planted. She had last seen Atraya when they found the patch of m
* Rune int some time last week. Loping towards Alpha Rock, she slows to a trot when her ivory and russet frame breaks through the treeline of the Clearing. Not wanting to be any later than she already was, she moves quickly towards the back of the group of gathering wolves.
<Rook> The nearer to the clearing he came the more he drew upon the scents therein. If the wind was favorable, then he would have at least one sense to gauge the lay of the land. Surprises were fun in regards to birthday parties and sometimes the mail; he never liked them when entering a mix of others. If scent alone was not enough, then he would have the width of northern clearing and river
<Rook> cut»»
<Rook> cont»» crossing to take stock of those gathering wolves. He’d be fashionably late, but it did not seem that he missed the main course.
* Atraya when the wolves began to gather and she would hear the count begin to rise she would gently stomp a paw before stilling. Her frame would shift as well and the litheness she usually held was not as present. She’d eaten a great deal from the Oxen cache that still had a fair amount of meat left on it – surely would feed the pack for a few more days yet. “Hello and thank you all for attending »»
<Atraya> »» this meeting.” she said with a swing of her tail. “I would like to begin with calling Kova forward.” white stary eyes would peer ahead as she would wait to hear Kova move forward and stand before her.
* Nightshade would entrance the clearing with a draft and slowed up now to come closer to the point of where alpha Atraya was calling to the pack.
* Kova took in all the smells and scents offered therein to her. She would swing her tail seeing so many wolves starting to appear out of the woods. She was happy to see the numbers. Among the scents, if Rook was downwind to her, she might pick him up and her tail gently swayed but stilled now as she would hear the call and blink with surprise. Rise to the call she did and turned her frame limping »»
<Kova> »» ahead of the stone and would remain standing out of respect. Her left paw would be slightly keeled to the air if only to disallow any pressure on it. “My alpha” her head would bow.
* Atraya when she heard Kova’s words she would smile and dip her head and begin. “Kova, you have been Delta in training for sometime now and under the guidenace of myself and Shukie, you have proven yourself worthy of such a role and of such a title. Our ranks are stable much like the braided streams can sometimes change. The Delta’s role is to take the mantle should something befall the Alpha and »»
<Atraya> »» Beta, but I would like to continue to extend this position to you, if you are in agreement. Do you accept the role and responsabilities as Delta to this pack?” her tail would be level with her frame and the seriousness in her tones would be met.
* CwnAnnwn crossed the threshold of the clearing just as Kova was asked to step forward. Not wishing to interrupt, he picked a spot behind the others gathered to settle upon his haunches. He quickly swept the gathering place to see whom was present before his attention turned to the Alpha’s rock and Atraya and Kova.
* Kova would remain standing before Atraya and when the words were offered to her she would take a long pause and moment to allow the words to be written into the forefront of her mind and what they meant; what they entailed. Only a moment would pass before her lips parted and she would rise her head up from her respectful position to offer her response. “Sense I’ve known this pack and this »»
<Kova> »» place, it has been a strumm constant in my heart and in my soul. A sense of purpose and a sense of duty. The love and dedication I have for this pack will never change, only grow more fierce with the changing seasons. Yes, my Alpha. If you deem me worthy of such a role and title, I will honor you and this pack, by doing all I can to uphold my role here as Delta.” her head would once more bow. »»
<Kova> »» She could feel the pride well in her chest.
* Atraya Kova’s words would reach her and she would offer a wolven smile of pride. She thought quietly on Shukie, wondering were she had been, but gave a simple nod of her head before she would address Kova and the rest of the pack. “Then I would like to make it known to all who are witness to this event today and by Kova’s words of acceptance of duty to Delta, it is with great honor and pleasure »»
<Atraya> »» I name Kova… WolfSpirits Delta!” her paw would rise up from the surface of the stone before lowering back down again in a stomp. She’d allow her words to reach the wolves who where present to hear it before she offered up a short and honorable howl for the newly ranked fae.
* Rune was interested in what was to come for Kova, their Alpha wasting no time at the start of the meeting. Listening to Atraya explain the duties and responsibilities of a Delta to Kova, Rune couldn’t think of a wolf more worthy of the title. Noticing a slight hitch in Kova’s step, Rune would attempt to check in on her after the meeting, should time and circumstances permit it. Hearing Kova’s acceptance of the offered
* Rune position, Rune’s tail gently sweeps the ground behind her. At Atraya’s stomp and howl, she would lift her voice in congratulations as well.
* skydancer approaching the clearing she only pauses briefly before heading towards those gathered and quietly picks a spot
* CwnAnnwn tilted his head back as Kova was named Delta and let his voice join the others in congratulating the fae on her new role within the pack.
* Rook would be crossing the river when Kova was called up to the stone and would have all but missed the question offered her as he shook himself free of the water weighing him down. He was far enough removed from the meeting to have been afforded the action without being an obnoxious distraction, but he would soon slip in just in time to hear the congratulations given to Kova for an
* Rook official cut»»
<Rook> cont»» Delta title. He could not help but momentarily think of Ayaka before stamping his paw in the grass.
* Kova her heart would strumm and beat with the pride she felt for the role she was bestowed and those there to witness and support her. One she would uphold to the best of her core and being. To honor her pack but also, Ayaka as well. It was a mantle she too held and didn’t get to see through. She would keep her left paw risen from the earth before letting loose a howl in unison to her pack and family. If Rune took a moment to observe, she’d no doubt see that Kova did a half attempt job at caretaking herself, and wrapped some leaves in a grotesquely gaping wound. The result of a wolverines fierce bite. Someone get this fae some bubble wrap. When the howls would die down she would turn her frame and start to limp back to her place right to the left of the Alpha’s stone. A mantle her sisters would usually be seated but as she was absent, she would respectfully warm the seat.
* skydancer lifts her muzzle and joins in the chorus to congratulate kova with her promotion
* Atraya would allow the howls of congratulations ring true and high before the wilds would take their voices and carry them to the winds. She shifted her paws yet again, trying to get comfortable a top the warm stone. She would continue to ‘look out’ all the same before she would find Rune’s scent among the gathered. She would turn now to the fae’s direction, chuffing for Rune. “Rune, please come forward”
* Rune notices the arrival of two other wolves, Rook and Skydancer, glad that they had made it. She would be sure to greet everyone at the end of the meeting. As Kova makes her way back to her place, her limp was obvious to Rune now that she had noticed it. Her ears perk forward at the sound of her name being spoken from the height of Alpha Rock. Rising to her paws, she weaves between the wolves seated in front of her pausing before the large stone and Atraya upon it. “My Alpha.” She says, dipping her head.
* Atraya would’ve heard Kova move to the left side and she dipped her head to her. She missed Shukie and as well, Ayaka. The mantle she hoped the fae would be at as well, but knew that Kova would honor that chosen path and follow in the paw steps as well and strong as Ayaka did. When Rune approached she dipped her head and offered to the fae. “Though the nights sometimes draw long enough for our »»
<Atraya> »» paths to cross on occassion, you have always shown great heart and dedication to this pack. To it’s wellbeing, and comfort. I would like to ask you Rune, do you still desire to join WolfSpirits?” her paws would shift only a little between her.
* Kova ears turned to Atraya then now to Rune as she would approach. Her tail would swing quickly behind her at the fae. She was fond of her and her abilities as a caretaker though she wasn’t properly put in the role. She took it up regardless. She would still herself and look now to Rune as Atraya asked of the fae her desires to still join their fold. Inwardly, she really hoped she still desired it. There was a brief moment to where she saw Rook gathered among the other wolves and her tail once more swung behind her in the brown grasses to his presence. She gave a dip of her head in his direction to acknowledge his arrival before turning then to Rune.
* CwnAnnwn perked and turned his gaze towards Rune as she was called forth. He watched the fae as she made her way towards the alpha rock, a smile playing upon his muzzle. He hoped to eventually get a chance to cath up with her, but knew she would most likely have other things to attend to after the meeting, so he would wait.
* Nightshade stepped careful to kova and nuzzled her “congratulations kova ” she said and would sit down to listening to meeting.
* Rune “I do, Atraya. My heart belongs to the WolfSpirits and it will always call me home. I would be honored to be welcomed back into the fold once again and to rejoin the pack.” It had been some time since she had last stood before Alpha Rock, but she was ready to return to the pack in full.
* Rune “I do, Atraya. My heart belongs to the WolfSpirits and it will always call me home. I would be honored to be welcomed back into the fold once again and to rejoin the pack.” It had been some time since she had last stood before Alpha Rock, but she was ready to return to the pack in full.
* Atraya tail would wave once at the mention of desiring to continue her journey in joining them again. The fae was dedicated and eager to always lend a paw to the wellbeing of the pack and she’d recognize that. “Your next step is to become an Assessment to the pack. You will learn further and more intricate our ways as you rejoin us from your previous place here. Though you are familiar, you will »»
<Atraya> »» grow with the new wolves who call this place home.” she paused for only a moment. “I also wish to extend another role to you, Rune. The pack has one caretaker, Kajika, but you have proven yourself well over that you are also versed in the herbal remedies of this world. This is a position we usually save for those who are of pack, but this will allow you to grow not only with your family, »»
<Atraya> »» but your role here. Would you accept the role as Caretaker in Training? To continue to learn and gain knowledge from your soon to be family? To garner knowlege from your mentor, Kajika?”
* Rune was shocked to hear the roles that had been offered to her. “I humbly accept your offer, Atraya, and I am greatly honored to be able to grow with the pack again and to learn from our Caretaker, Kajika.” It was a shame that Kajika was not here today, but she would certainly have to track him down now. She looked forward to learning from him and from all of those around her.
* skydancer head comes up just a little higher in surprise. both assessment and in training? that’s unusual even so she remains quiet and watches rune curiously for her reaction
* Atraya would give a slow nod of her head to Rune as she would offer to the rest “As all lay witness to Rune’s words and acceptance of her role here, I would like to proudly name Rune, Assessment to WolfSpirits and Caretaker in Training.” her paw came up to stomp!
* Kova an ear turned to the sound of another and when she would see Nightshade step closer she would give the fae a light nosing back in a ‘thank you’ before she resumed to pay attention to the meeting. She’d be sure to also greet the others. CwnAnnwn being one of them she hadn’t seen in sometime, but was glad he was present. Hearing Atraya’s final words on Rune’s advancement she smiled and would »»
<Kova> »» let loose a few chuffing barks for Rune, stomping her own paw as well! a role very well suited for the fae and she was proud of her.
* ChanServ sets mode: +h Rune
* CwnAnnwn was happy for Rune as she was named assessment and caretaker-in-training. Once more, his head tilted back and he let out a low howl for the fae.
* skydancer after atrayas final words she too lifts her muzzle and let’s out a congratulatory howl of her own
* Rune couldn’t help but wag her tail at the howls of the others. “Thank you, Atraya.” She says to the Alpha fae before dipping her head and departing from the space in front of Alpha Rock. There was nothing quite as wonderful as rising through the stages of joining the WolfSpirits. While walking back to her previous spot, she instead changes course to go sit beside Kova, hoping to eliminate the possibility of Rune not
* Rune catching her at the end of the meeting. She gently noses the Delta in greeting and congratulations.
* Rook sat back upon his haunches and listened attentively to the magnitude of changes that would affect the pack’s future. He was curious if he had missed a swell of numbers in his absence or if these familiar wolves were to be the spear head for new activity? Curious or not, he offered the fae a congratulatory stamp of his paw to the grass beneath him.
* Atraya when the encouragments and happy chuffs were made and silenced to the winds she would allow the air to settle before her attention drew ahead. As she tasted the winds once more she could smell her son among the gathered and it caused her to smile and the happiness to his presence caused a brisk wave of her tail. Her head dipped warmly in his direction before she turned to once more ‘look »»
<Atraya> »» ahead’. “Nightshade, please come forward.”
+ Nightshade stepped forward to the alpha as it was asked from her, “Yes alpha?” She asked and sat down.
* Kova would feel the presence of another and turned to see Rune. She would smile and nose the fae warmly in a greeting and offer to her congratulations as well. She was happy for the fae for both roles suited her very well and she was glad to know that there might be another caretaker in their fold. Something she seemed to personally need more and more of as of late. To bad Fenrir wouldn’t taste the souls she’d give. She turned then to Atraya and now Nightshade.
* Atraya would wait for the fae to acknowledge her and let her know she stepped forward before she would continue. “Nightshade, you had been absent for sometime but only recently returned back to our fold. You were a pledge with us and as well an Assessment, but I would like to ask you now, do you still desire to join WolfSpirits?” she’d weigh the fae’s answer carefully.
* CwnAnnwn draws his gaze away from Rune and Kova as Nightshade is called up next. He cannot remember if he had met the fae or not.
* skydancer as nightshade is called up she shifts her attention to the larger fea her ears drawn slightly forward with interest.
* Nightshade “Alpha Atraya, I like nothing more, I still desire to become one of the pack, I’m deeply sorry for my absence ” she responded to her question and continued “I want to say something more Alpha, if it’s okay”
* Atraya she would dip her head to Nightshade “Please, share” she would extend the invitation to the fae to offer more.
* Kova an ear turned to Nightshade now as she would request to offer more to the others. She would shift her weight a little, if only to keep it off her left leg as her gaze fell to the fae, curious to what she wanted to add.
* Nightshade turned her head to Shakira as she got permission from the alpha. ” Shakira, our last meeting wasn’t pleasant I’ve acted rude, disrespectful towards you, I want to apologize my behavior” and would look back at Alpha Atraya ” I’m also deeply sorry for the actions and would accept punishment for being disrespectful”.
* Atraya ‘s eyes fell ahead of her as she could gauge where Nightshade was standing based on the scents and when she offered her additional thoughts she would respond in kind. It was something she was not privileged to knowing or knew what transpired, but if the fae felt bad about her behavior to apologies, then, she’d accept it for what it was. “Punishment would entail knowing the full story, and be that I do not, and you are apologizing now means you are willing to accept that responsibility. For that I simply offer a thank you for your honesty and I hope any displeasure between you or anyone else can be settled; which I am sure they can be. I appreciate the honesty, Nightshade and no punishment is needed now.” she didn’t know the context of what she said or did to ‘warrant’ a »»
<Atraya> »» punishment, but if it was something they needed to discuss she would do so not at the open junction of a meeting but more privately. “As a pledge of the pack this is the time to search your soul and heart to ensure that WolfSpirits is the right home for you. Again I ask with this in mind, do you still wish to join?” she’d wait again for the fae to respond.
* Nightshade ” I’m sorry for my absence, I felt a little disconnected with the pack I’ll prove my loyalty and my stay, ” and sat down back await for alpha’s response and from everyone else”.
* Atraya would give a slow nod of her head to the fae. “I look forward to your presence, Nightshade. As you have offered your words and heart to the others, it is felt. You’ve made it known you desire to continue to join us, and so I would like to have the privillage of naming you a pledge of WolfSpirits. Welcome back Nightshade” her paw came up to stomp and she swung her tail once before it stilled.
* Kova ‘s tail swung behind her once as well upon the naming of Nightshade, their newest pledge. She was happy to see their pack growing once more and she couldn’t help but stomp a paw as well but her’s was a little… lopsided? She had to rise her good one up and then ‘hop’ it down on the ground before stilling. She was happy for the fae to return.
* CwnAnnwn despite not knowing the fae, lifted his muzzle as he had for the others and let out a howl of congratulations for her.
* skydancer takes note of kovas odd pawstomp even as she lifts her muzzle in concratulation for nightshade
* Rune wasn’t sure what had transpired between Shakira and Nightshade, though it did not seem as if Atraya was going to ask the full story of her. The fae’s responses puzzled Rune but her remorse seemed genuine. Regardless, it was Atraya’s judgement that she trusted so she raises her muzzle in a howl to Nightshade.
* Atraya there wasn’t much more on the agenda of her mind to offer just yet, besides the obvious thing that would be before them now. If anyone had even garnered a notice that was up to them, otherwise she’d remain silent on the matter for as long as she was able but observations would be as they would. There would be no hiding the light. She wanted the chance to offer the news to her son and »»
<Atraya> »» remaining daughter but whatever kept them to the wilds did so at it’s will. Time was a fickle thing. “Is there anything else anyone desires to bring up before I close the meeting and open it to a few stories?”
* Kova ‘s eyes fell between Nightshade and then to where Shakira had seated herself nearby. She tilted her head quietly in thought wondering if she could even recall what happened. Was she around? Hm, regardless the fae offered her apology and she felt that it should be enough; but she wasn’t the other fae. She turned then to Atraya and swung her tail at the mention of stories. She had prepared one »»
<Kova> »» for this afternoon’s telling and was hopeful she might be able to share it. But of course would wait to see who else wanted to offer their lore. A story for a story.
* CwnAnnwn turned his attention to Atraya as she asked if there was anything else. He contemplated making his request to rejoin the pack now, but felt that he had not yet earned right to begin the path to rejoin. So, he kept silent and would ask later and maybe begin the path the next meeting.
* Nightshade looked puzzled at the Atraya and asked ” sorry alpha Atraya, did you asked something?”
* Rook listened to this newer fae offer herself up to the pyre of sorts. He chuckled to himself at the thought of someone asking for punishment from his mother or from his father…ouch. He was happy to have avoided the drama that killed you slowly. It was much better to die from the drama that had the decency to kill you swiftly and…well…dramatically. The meeting would end without
* Rook objection, cut»»
<Rook> cont»» and the call for a tale or two would be made. He too would wait…afterall, it was his schtick to offer a story for a story (copyright pending).
<Atraya> »»»( XD )«««
* CwnAnnwn had a change of heart, but Nightshade spoke up before he did. He would wait for the fae to finish before he would speak up.
* Atraya would shake her head to Nightshade; perhaps she had missed the question herself? She would offer in kind “Nae” she continued to ‘look’ out ahead of her towards the sound of Nightshade’s voice. “only what you already answered” she added.
* Rune did not have anything to add on the meetings front but at the mention of stories, she was intrigued. The ivory and russet fae could not remember the last time she had attended a Lore Night, it must have been some time ago. It was now that she would begin to think of something to share, she was not usually one to share but if there ever were a time, it was now. Both Nightshade and CwnAnnwn seem to stir at Atraya’s fin
* Rune al question and Rune looks to them, interested to hear what they would have to say.
* CwnAnnwn stood where up from where he sat and looked up to Atraya “I do have something that I would like to say.” The male would wait for the alpha faes acknowledgement before he would speak futher.
* Atraya there would be another voice added t othe fold but this one belonged to a wolf whom she hadn’t scented in sometime. She perked her ears forward and looked out across the ‘gathered’ smells before she would try to look in CwnAnnwn’s direction. Nightstalkers son. “Come forward CwnAnnwn and offer your thoughts.”
* Kova would turn between Nightshade and Atraya but then CwnAnnwn offered to speak. She would remain seated there but found that her right limb was starting to shake from having to bare her weight for as long as she had, but do it she would. She waited then for the male to offer his thoughts; it’s been a while sense she’d seen him to, but glad he was also back.
* CwnAnnwn bowed his head to the alpha fae before stepping past the others to close the rock. Once he reached the rock, he would speak “I wish to return to the pack that is my family and once more make this my home. I have been gone a long time and have not be as present as I should be since returning, so as such, I know I have not earned the chance to take that path at this time. I do wish
* CwnAnnwn to make my wish to rejoin my family known at this time so that when it is felt that I have earned it, I can start down the path.” He looked back at each wolf present for a moment before turning back to Atraya as he awaited her response.
* Rune ’s attention would be drawn away from CwnAnnwn when she noticed the occasional tremble from Kova. Turning her head to look at the fae for a moment, she suspected the Delta wasn’t fairing as well as she appeared to be. Shuffling closer to the silvery fae, she touches her own shoulder to Kova’s, offering it to be leaned against to hopefully alleviate some of the pressure she was currently placing on the injury.
* Atraya waited for CwnAnnwn to offer his words and as he spoke she was able to pick him out of the crowd of wolves nearby. She would listen to his request and offer a dip of her head. “I’m honored to hear that you desire to rejoin us again, CwnAnnwn. Your request has been heard and, would offer to extend that chance to rejoin us at the next meeting. It’ll allow your paws to settle more firmly »»
<Atraya> »» with us again and if you still desire it at the next meeting, it can be made so.” she said with a swing of her tail. It often made her think of Nightstalker. She had missed him dearly but felt a lot of his presence in CwnAnnwn. Lineage and lore.
* Kova felt the relief of Rune’s frame against her own and she’d feel a significant amount of weight being pressed against Rune, perhaps so much so she’d almost have to dig her paws into the soil to help be a stronger barrier. Her paw stopped shaking as the load of her frame was distrubited and she nosed Rune gratefully across her cheek. She was fond of the fae and her heart to the pack. It was there she returned her attention to Atraya and then CwnAnnwn. She swung her tail at the thought of another rejoining them, and was glad t ohear CwnAnnwn’s request.
* CwnAnnwn listened to her words and bowed his head to her “I look forward to being home once more, thank you”. He turned to make his way back to where he had been seated, he looked to Kova and Rune as he padded by them and nodded to them in silent greeting, his silver tail swaying gently behind him. He himself often thought of his father and though he wished to find him, he knew his father
* CwnAnnwn would rather he spend his time and energy with the pack that was both his birth home and his fathers home for so long. The pack was family as much as his father was, and now it was time to follow in his father’s paws and do his part for the pack.
<Rook> Ah, another male to steal away the annoyances of too many faes; another target for Calder’s name-asking quandaries. He was careful not to let on that he cared -too- much about what his mother said or how this played out. He did, afterall, have a fair bit in common with this one whether he knew of CwnAnnwn’s story or not.
* Rune is unbothered by Kova’s weight against her, relieved rather, that the fae was not straining as much to keep herself upright during the meeting. The Assessment was glad to hear that CwnAnnwn was looking to return to the pack, hopefully the next meeting would not be so distant in the future. Rune dips her head in greeting as he looks to herself and Kova before padding past them. It didn’t seem like anyone else had so
* Rune mething to add to the meeting so Rune wondered who would share the first Lore. She had managed to come up with something and would be happy to share first, should the others not want to.
* Atraya ‘s head dipped towards CwnAnnwn’s direction and she continued to hold a smile. “Of course” It was there she would remain seated atop the rock. Her disproportionate frame would shift as she soaked up the warming sun. By now a lot of the areas of the clearing and wildlands were drying from the previous rain. As the matters of the meeting came to a close she would stomp a paw softly (Faolan™). “Thank you to those who attended the meeting and congratulations to those promotions. Now, I would like to open the gathering for some story telling”
* Kova when the offer to share a story was extended she would swing her tail and slowly begin to rise. She would nose Rune whom was seated just next to her before she would limp a few steps forward and pause. “I would love to share a story, my Alpha.” 6her eyes light but eager. She loved to share a story and hoped to gain another from one who where gathered. In all honesty she was still trying »»
<Kova> »» to recall a few that were lost to the darkness from her previous hunt snafoo with the Ram. The thing that won’t be named!
* Rune peers around at the others, none of which seemed too keen to share yet. When Kova hops a few steps forward, saying she’d like to share, the Russian fae remains prepared to rush forward to support the Delta if need be. For now, though, she was looking forward to hearing Kova’s Lore.
* CwnAnnwn turned back to face the alpah’s rock and once more settled upon his haunches, wrapping his tail about his hind paws. He would perk as Kova spoke up and approached the rock, listening to what the fae had to say.
* Atraya hearing Kova approached forward she would smile and dip her head allowing her to share.

Lore Night Begins

* Kova she began “This is an ancient story passed on from many generations and was told to me much in the same breath as I tell you now. Long ago there was a young wolf who was about to become an adult and it is told that he or she must obtain a charm or good medicine after having their ‘dream’. It is sometimes said a wolf will not eat or drink for days and only spend the time invoking the great mystery of »»
<Kova> »» the boon of a long life.” she would pause before she continued, standing now as she would mimic “padding” or walking the best she could with a limp leg.” After traveling great distances that wolf must choose a special place or spot to dream. It must be meaningful, but also, sometimes dangerous or equally uncomfortable places! Surrounding terrors impress themselves upon the mind, and even in »»
<Kova> »» slumber to add vividness to the dreams. However not all dreams are easily obtained!” She would strike the earth with a paw before her voice drew with eagerness. “The wolf’s father led their young one into the forest and pointed to a rocky cliff face where a golden eagle’s nest lay. “You must ascend and stay in that nest until you dream” said the father. There was only a moment shared more before »»
<Kova> »» the father left in order that the young wolf might reach the nest without coming too close to his conductor. Obediently the young wolf climbed and reached the nest. There to lay a top in hopes to find that dream. That boon for a good life. Days would go by and there was nothing but vast landscapes to observe, but on the fourth night the wolf was greeted by a terrible thunderstorm with lightning »»
<Kova> »» and furious wind. The wind would feel as if it rocked the very mountain cliff the nest clung to, daring to blow him off. The sounds were like screams. Terrified the wolf curled up and closed its eyes, unbeknown to it, sleep over took an exhausted frame. The young wolf was brought to darkness but soon, a small stream of light began to reflect in the distance. The veil began to peel away the »»
<Kova> »» shadows and reveal a beautiful landscape of green grasses, wild flowers and clear blue streams.” she would pause if only to allow that imagery to sink in for that moment until she continued. “The wolf would feel peace. In that moment of peace a lone figure began to approach the wolf not from the earth but the sky. A white raven. It circled the wolf a few times before landing with ease beside it. »»
<Kova> »» Something was obtained in its mouth and only a moment later would it be dropped to the ground. It would be a talon, small but recognizable. A raven talon.” she paused and would rise her bad paw up if only to extend her one claw out, hooking it like a talon. “The raven stared at the wolf and cawed. It was so loud to the wolf’s ears it felt so real, as if it shook its very frame inside and out. »»
<Kova> »» CAW! Again, the wolf felt it! It was like the dream started to become real, shaking the outside. CAW CCAWWW! It was there the young wolf was pulled from the dream and brought back to reality. The cawing mimicked the clacking of thunder as the storm began to leave the area. With this new found knowledge and new courage inspired upon the wolfs soul, the young wolf carefully descended the cliff »»
<Kova> »» face. Elated and filled with new found energy and purpose the wolf set out to find the trinket. Searching long and far until the wolf came upon a ravens carcass settled just at the banks of a stream that during the storm had flooded. The poor creature must’ve succumbed to the rising waters. It was a fledgling , unable to fly just yet to escape it’s demise. She would give pause now allowing the story to wash over before she’d continue.
* Kova her tail would swing behind her before stilling as she remained standing as she continued “It was a reminder to the wolf, a thoughtful one. Not only did he find his trinket, but insight into what it might mean to the wolf. To always appreciate the life you have for even as young as you are, you may not always have the chances to learn and grow. The wolf gave a moment of thought and »»
<Kova> »» honored the spirit of the raven before gingerly taking free a talon. The young wolf returned to it’s pack fulfilled and with a heart filled with purpose. The wolf would never be too far from the trinket (maybe that’s why those humans long past wore things around their necks to) and it is said this wolf lived a long and fulfilled life – searching for many more trinkets and precious things in life »»
<Kova> »» to hold close and dear.” she would slowly dip her head and smile, stomping a paw lightly as she would limp back over to her place and seat herself beside Rune, but this time she would lower down onto her stomach so as not to keep anymore weight on her limb then needed. Her hues cast long to the wolves present to see how it was received.
* Rook would ruminate on the talon for a moment, and he would not be able to contain a smirk of sorts at the thought of what Phoenix would call it… the gris gris. What a curious tradition. He would not linger too long in thought so as to miss the cue to deliver a grateful and approving stamp into the grass for a story well told.
* Atraya upon the ending tale she would remain seated and thoughtful. She swung her tail behind her before giving a few stompings of her paw towards the end of it. She would be encapsulated throughout the entire story and would admire the telling gestures to each motion of the lore. “Thank you for sharing, Kova. A fine story” she continued to look out across the gathered and allowed that moment »»
<Atraya> »» for reflection and thought as well. It would bring to her the stories her mother used to tell her of the native folk and their own backstory. Of trinkets. She often thought of her own trinkets, gifted to her by her mate. Ones she held very near and dear. A token of love and perhaps of dreams fulfilled to. “Does anyone else wish to share a story?”
* Kova she often thought of it’s meaning and the wolf who told it to her. A lesson woven into the thread of her story; sometimes one must climb heights and endure dangers for the things they long after and are willing to protect or hold onto. She thumped her tail once more before stilling and looked around the gathered to see whom might offer a piece of lore.
* Rune had seen many trinkets such as theses, perhaps one or two within the possession of other members of the pack. She had never thought to find one as she had always traveled so frequently. Perhaps now was the time? Rune wags and noses Kova upon her return, glad that she lowered herself to the ground completely. “If I may, Atraya.”
* Atraya would turn to Rune and smile nodding ‘Please’ she swung her tail once before she would remain seated.
* Kova would look to Atraya then to Rune as she offered to share. Oh! Wide eyes and curious paws would wiggle into the earth as she continued to settle in the moist grasses, waiting for Rune’s story.
* Rune rises to her paws and takes a few steps forward. “I will share the story of the Shamans from my home. It is brief but it is the wolf’s personal journey to build upon it.” She pauses for a moment before beginning. “The levels of our worlds are held together by a magnificent, intertwining tree. The Tree connects the spirit worlds and souls exist throughout them. The levels obey the laws and balance of nature, and
* Rune do not conform to the good or the evil. Upon the the Tree’s birth, Wolves and the Birds were made the guides and keepers of these worlds, capable of becoming Shamans to save and heal souls. The first Shamans, one raven and one wolf, reached the Tree together. They traveled to the top of the Tree, where their task was to defeat and destroy an extra sun and moon, which were making the Tree too hot and cold. The raven
* Rune was turned to gold, to protect him from the cold of the moon. The wolf was turned to silver, to protect her from the heat of the sun. Successfully completing their tasks to protect all of the Tree’s spirits, the raven and wolf returned to their worlds as Shamans, transformed. Each guide completes their own journey before returning to the earth as Shaman, venturing into the spirit worlds to guide the souls of those th
* Rune at walk the earth today.” Allowing the legend to take hold before continuing with a story. “A wolf I have known, the Elder, was a simple healer long before we ever met. One night he was approached by a mother who brought her pup. Something ailed the pup and the Elder tried all that was possible before being faced with a final option. Venturing into the three to save the pup, The Elder also became a Shaman, transfor
* Rune med after warding off the spirit Chil to rescue the captured soul of the pup, who had been trapped in the moon.”
* Atraya ears would remain perked forward as she listened to the tale Rune would offer to the pack. She swung her tail before it stilled but as the end of the story drew her brows furrowed with concern. What of the pup? The mother? Did the elder find the pup’s soul? She would wait to see if it was truly the end of the story.
* Rune dips her head, signaling the end of her turn sharing. She had not spoken of the Elder among pack wolves before, but The Elder was the only shaman Rune had ever met and thus the only story she had ever heard. Taking a few steps back she sits beside Kova once more.
* CwnAnnwn listened to Kova’s story and nodded as she gave her explaination. He was reminded that he never had any stories passed down by his parent, his mother vanishing not long after he and his sisters born and his father busy. He shook the thoughts from his head as Rune stepped up and began her own story.
* Kova would swing her tail quickly behind her and when Rune indicated the story was to it’s end she would stomp a paw and let loose a few chuffs in the wake of it’s end. “What a great story, Rune.” she thought upon it’s meaning and the woven intricates of other worlds. It seemed the pack itself was touched by the very mysterious unknowns; she wondered how much truth to the tree and their world there might be? “Thank you Rune” she offered to her in a light but warm voice. Perhaps she’d inquire later to the potential Elder whom she spoke of.
* skydancer listens attentively to both tales ears swivels ever so slightly now and then when rune steps back she dips her muzzle gratefully at the larger wolf
<Rook> What another interesting tale. The structure of another world, not wholly apart from this one, told in the briefest of morsels was enough to make any collector salivate. They, being mortal, could only ever experience the physical manifestations of such places, he thought. They were, afterall, flesh, muscle, bone, and sinew. His mind raced through the parallels of connected stories before
<Rook> he cut»»
<Rook> cont»» thought upon Ayaka and his father. There would be a time where his thoughts did not stray to them, but for now they could not stray from them.
* Atraya when it was clear the story had ended she would smile, stomping a paw as well glad to have heard the story shared and offered to the pack and those who would hear it. “Thank you Rune” she smiled. Her paw came to stomp down as the end was indicated. She’d wait now to see if there was one more story offered before the evening would be let loose to the wild wanderings. “Anyone else?”
* Kova would strumm her tail across the grass before stilling it. She cast long a glance to those wolves who where present to see if any others had a story to share before the day was cast to them.
* Rune knew that there was much more to the Elders rescue of the pup, arduous and challenging, than what she knew of the story. Unfortunately, she had been young when the story was first shared with her and didn’t give much thought to it but now, with Faolan and Ayaka elsewhere unknown to them, she wondered how much of what had been shared with her was possible. “Of course, I am glad to have shared.”
* Rook had a few stories at the ready, but he ultimately kept them to himself. He was happy to hear these stories, and he was happier to have heard them without the precondition of having to dole out the currency of his kind. Were there any others that would offer a free tale?
* Atraya there was much to think on and the inner weavings of both stories would strike a cord within her. Thought provoking and some what hopeful. She too thought of her mate and Ayaka’s role in their own veil. What part of the world did they really steward? There was still little to be known about the old crone and Morrigan, and what really played into their own stories. She would have risen to all »»
<Atraya> »» fours slowly before making her way off the Alpha’s rock now. Usually she’d land effortlessly in the grass but she’d be slightly off kilter. When no one expressed a desire to share further she’d simply dip her head gratefully. “Thank you Rune and Kova for sharing” she’d wait a moment longer to see if anyone else wanted to share.
* Kova tale waved slowly behind her before stilling. Seeing Rook once more among the fold of wolves she was happy to see him; it was the story she had shared with him that she some how couldn’t recall after her rock incident. Perhaps seeing him now would help jarr her memory. Bits and pieces came and went an inner frustration she tried to keep to herself as she was one who very much held stories to »»
<Kova> »» her heart. She gave a dip of her head to Atraya’s thanks before she’d wait to see if anyone else spoke up. “Of course Atraya. I live to share knowledge as well as gain it.”
* CwnAnnwn looked to the others to see if anyone else was going to share any stories. His tail swayed idly behind his frame as he waited.
* Rune dips her head. “I am happy to share what I can.” She says to Atraya, glad to have been given the chance to share and grateful that she was able to attend tonight’s gatherings. As Atraya makes her way off the rock it would seem that no one else would have a story to share, she would greet them in a moment. Rune rises to her paws and moves towards Kova, as they had moved apart a little in the process of telling the
* Rune ir Lores. “Kova, would you mind if I had a look at your leg.” It was obviously that the wound was uncomfortable but for now Rune did not know the extent of the damage.
* Rook remained perched within his little patch of grass to dry out from his crossing of the river. When no other volunteer came forward to offer a tale, he would rise and shake out the matts in his fur. He’d not depart just yet, sensing either correctly or not that a purpose held him here for a little while longer.
* Kova would watch Atraya come off the rock and give a knowing smile in the wake of her presence before turning then to Rune as she approached. She was a little embarassed about her ‘attempt’ at cleaning the wound. SHe did her best based on the what knowledge she had garnered from her previous injuries. “Of course” slowly she would remove her limb from beneath her other as she extended it out. »»
<Kova> »» It was some what loosely packed with leaves and other debris, but mint was made into a paste and applied. It by now had already begun to dry and flake off exposing a good chunk of her flesh missing. The female Wolverine had gotten a good bite to her for sure. In a humans world she would’ve been darted, sedated and stitched but alas, the wild was as it was. Wild. She didn’t complain however. »»
<Kova> »» “When you’re finished here you might want to check on Fianna. She received a pretty ferocious bite to her shoulder and frame. Then perhaps the Alpha.”she’d sense motion and turned to see Rook rise, she finally offered a chuff greeting to him having not been able to do so more properly before the meeting.

Lore Night

July 6th, 2020

The pack gathered to share lore and story!

Lore Night Begins

* Kamai had been long left behind by the others she was with and had journeyed back the way they came towards the clearing. she had skirted the cougar territory with no trouble. she had just passed into the hunting grounds when she heard a summoning howl by the alpha. curious, she would pick up her speed
* Kamai and make her way towards the howl
* Fianna would look a bit chagrined at that. How silly of her, of course it wasn’t. Still she felt a pang of disappointment within her heart that her mother had not in fact miraculously regained her sight. She’d perk up a bit at the idea of a lote night, and nod, nosing her mother fondly before backing up to give the Alphess space, settling several feet away and loosely observing the goings on around her. She’d chuff softly to Rook as he neared, an ear pricking in his direction. How had he been? She wondered. Was he getting reacquainted with the territory? Perhaps he’d fall in love with again and want to stay.. But those questions would have to wait, for she’d rather ask them in solitude rather than at the forefront of a gathering.

* Rook ‘s own tail would abide by the growing comfort and happiness at being near family, regardless of plans he had been hatching within the scheming mind of his. He had come as close to Atraya and Fianna to have heard the promise of lore and tale, and he knew then that the promise he felt in the air had been true. Good enough then…good enough. In his muse, he set a stone’s weight upon
* Rook the cut»»
<Rook> cont»» metaphorical scale and see what lore he would gain in turn. Such was the currency of a ‘teller. A chuff received was one that would be returned in kind once he was near enough to offer it after all the howling had been done. He, of course, was quiet. ’twas not his place to call for kin that was not quite his.
<Calder> He would move along the chosen path through the hunting grounds – taking note of all the smells therein. Those who had kept close to the injured fae and moving in and out of the hunting grounds as well. For now, and for the most part, all the trails led in and out and back to the clearing. It was there he would move. Hearing a howl arrive across the expanse of the hunting grounds he would now follow after at a slow pace.
* Kova would nose Shakira once more before the pair would start to make their way back to the clearing. They weren’t that far off. Eventually after a few minutes they would appear from the South East. She would pause at the edge of the forest, allowing herself to rest but also take stock of who was present. A good turn out, she thought, and swung her tail before she’d continue to limp into the clearing and seat herself halfway in.
* Kamai would make her way into the clearing now at a quick pace. she would notice a few wolves gathered near the rock and would make her way to them. the scents brought on the wind told her the alphas were there, and she made quick as she wanted to know how they were doing.
* Atraya would shift her paws once more as she tore off another chunk then ate it rather quickly. She could sense the presence of others. She would nose Fianna who was near and if Rook would get close enough, she’d offer a nuzzle to him as well before she would call out to the rest. “Well met wolves of WolfSpirits. Tonight I would like to call a gathering for a Lore Night. I would like to open it »»
<Atraya> »» to those here, who desires to share?”
* Kamai reaching the group she would let out a chuff. she heard atrayas words and she tilted her head “excuse me alpha im sorry, but what is a lore night? what does it entail?” she said sitting down acknowledging all the others she has and haven’t met yet
* Fianna would remain equally quiet after her soft chuff, and she’d watch every wolf arrive, excited about the prospect of a story. She had few of her own to offer, for what she’d experienced in her lifetime the other’s of her pack had seen and observed as well. She was keen to glean the other’s wisdom however, and her fanning tail would show. When her mother asked who’d like to share, she’d look around expectantly.
* Shakira moved alongside Kova most of the way, only breaking away if the she-wolf seated herself near the middle of the group, her own preference being to move to the side of the group and as far from the ‘spotlight’ as possible. At the mention of a lore night, her tail would begin a slight motion, it had been quite some time since she had last sat in on a lore night with the pack, it was good to hear that they had at
* Shakira least a night to spare for some light-hearted storytelling and time together.
* Fianna shifted, getting more comfortable as the others piled in and got cozy. She’d remembered something she could share, but didn’t want to start the night off, so she held her tongue and waited for a later moment, anticipating what the other’s might share. She sunk down onto her belly, and licked at a paw, an ear flicking to the evening sounds around her.
* Fianna would think idly of Kwa`ani, wondering where her sister was.. Probably off in the mountains. She seemed to have a wanderlust nearly as addictive as Rook’s, while Fianna herself found that while the distant peaks drew her eyes, her heart kept her paws grounded wherever the pack was.
* Atraya would shift her ‘gaze’ to those who where gathered before she would offer a gentle swing of her tail and curled it about her haunches. She would start off. “I will offer words of lore to those who would enjoy to hear it.” her tones equal and light. It was there she turned to Kamai and offered “Stay and listen and you will know of what our Lore Nights entail” she added
* Atraya she would slowly rise to all fours, feeling the stones firm grip to her paw pads as she stood atop the Alphas rock to offer her lore. Her tones would be subtle, light, but as well filled with the emotion that any story could tell or offer.
* Rook was happy to sit in the growing shade of the Alpha’s stone and listen to what would be offered. Certainly a tale or two would gleam amongst the stone and grass that composed the clearing and the packland…certainly, the rustle of leaves on the forest’s trees would whisper a bardic tune.

<Atraya> Why does thou sit upon my grave
<Atraya> And will dead lips to speak?
<Atraya> Why does thou weep upon my grave
<Atraya> And will not let me sleep?
<Atraya> My Body it is as cold as clay
<Atraya> My breath is earthly strong
<Atraya> How oft on yonder grave, sweetheart
<Atraya> Where we were won’t to walk
<Atraya> The fairest flower that e’er I saw
<Atraya> Has withered to a stalk
<Atraya> When will we meet again, sweetheart?
<Atraya> When will we meet again?
<Atraya> When the Autumn leaves that fall from trees
<Atraya> Are green and spring up again
<Atraya> How oft on yonder grave, sweetheart
<Atraya> Where we were won’t to walk
<Atraya> The fairest flower that e’er I saw
<Atraya> Has withered to a stalk
* Atraya the last word would echo off the tip of her tongue as she recanted a small story and lore driven from the small threads of her heart, still tangled and unwoven to one another. She felt the stone beneath her feel as cold as clay. She gave a slow dip of her head indicating the end of her shared lore. Words from the heart and the soul, albeit a loft, still held truth and emotion. She hoped to share with her family.
* Kova would have arrived at the clearings edge and into the clearing about halfway when her Alpha had begun a Lore Night. Catching the invitation she couldn’t help but contain her excitment. She recalled the stories shared and given to herself and Rook, even to the story teller pack. It was something she relished and enjoyed and so, when she seated herself she looked around to those wolves »»
<Kova> »» present. Seeing the Alpha’s son among them, she swished her tail softly. Eyes refocused now to Atraya and to the offered lore of heart and of soul. She offered a light stomp of her paw at the ending tones. A fine and strong piece to start off with, she thought. One of heart.
* Fianna would feel her emotion seem to wax and wane with the tempo of what her mother had chosen to share. “Beautiful.” She would whisper. She wondered if the choice had anything to do with the mate of her heart being beyond the grave.. Or just as far. She would feel her own lore would flow well on the heels of her mother’s and so, taking a deep breath against her sudden onset of nerves she’d rise and wave her tail to
* Fianna share her own piece :
* Fianna ‘s voice began softly, but would rise and fall with her own creation.
<Fianna> Standing in a barren plain,
<Fianna> Empty but for me,
<Fianna> I listen…
<Fianna> A grain of sand amidst a vast desert,
<Fianna> I am small,
<Fianna> And I listen…
<Fianna> Ages past and ages gone,
<Fianna> I have stood,
<Fianna> And I listened…
<Fianna> My comrades fell one by one,
<Fianna> Standing unnoticed,
<Fianna> I listened…
<Fianna> Until I was the last one,
<Fianna> Forgotten by time,
<Fianna> I listened…
<Fianna> Now tall and strong yet,
<Fianna> Old and beaten,
<Fianna> Still I listen…
<Fianna> Comes an agent of death,
<Fianna> With fatal bite,
<Fianna> I listen…Falling to the ground my vision fades,
<Fianna> But for an instant more,
<Fianna> I listen…
<Fianna> The woodsman sighs gazing at,
<Fianna> The very place,
<Fianna> I listened…
<Fianna> In tranquil quiet the time has come,
<Fianna> As the woodsman listens,
<Fianna> I tell…
<Fianna> Of memories gleaned while standing still,
<Fianna> Of pain and joy,
<Fianna> I tell…
<Fianna> Life and death I know,
<Fianna> And all of it,
<Fianna> I tell…
<Fianna> As the woodsman listens and reads my story,
<Fianna> Until there is no more,
<Fianna> I tell.

* Fianna finished her short tale of the trees within the ancient forest she had gleaned, the winds had whispered it to her. Ancient and wise they were and she truly wondered what tales they had to share. She’d sit back down, upright and gazing around to see who would share next.
* Kamai would listen to all the recitements and would be thinking of her own. hers werent as good as theirs but she would still take a few moments maybe not a poem, but a story she had heard long ago. she would let someone else go as she focused on how the story went
* Atraya ‘s frame would shift only slightly as she seemed transfixed to listen to the words of Fianna and the tune she wove for the rest to hear. She imagined it in her dark vision the stories playing just before her. Both strength and wisdom in the gleaming words, all to which would be inspiring. She offered a gentle pawing to the earth and stone she sat upon. “A wise lore indeed. Beautiful and »»
<Atraya> »» heartfelt. Thank you Fianna.” her tones would match the heartfelt inspiration she to felt from it.
* Kova would close her eyes allowing Fianna’s story to recant in her mind. Playing out the vision of what a lore would look like, and how it would be told and relived in their minds. When the story was finished she would swing her tail and dip her head. A fine story indeed. Full of wisdom and thought. She would perhaps hold her story for now, she too waiting to see if any others would speak their lore.
<Calder> He would have seated himself just to the outskirts of the clearing itself, paws placed between himself as he remained seated. He would listen to the first set of Lore before he turned to Fianna when she went to share. He took in the words offered by both fae’s and felt the emotion in the pair. Curious eyes of amber leered across the gathered and he’d wait for the next teller to tell their tale.
<Rook> A few stones had been added to the opposing scale, but there were plenty more wolves in this pack and plenty more tales or prose to share. He remained fixed upon the grass he sat and did not move other than to offer two rounds of paw stamps against the ground for his mother and sister.
* Fianna would scan those present, happy to see so many of her pack and family around her. She’d catch sight of Calder in the distance and she’d tilt her head a moment in curiosity before looking back to the other’s, the silence for a moment stretching.
* Kamai would stand up “if you dont mind i would love to share a story. she would then stand and with a deep breath she began her tale. her voice falling and rising with the flow.
<Kamai> I lay here trapped, no song to sing
<Kamai> wondering what tomorrow will bring.
<Kamai> my spirit lost, perhaps never found
<Kamai> no music here, not one little sound.
<Kamai> i must break free, i know for sure
<Kamai> though i never thought to do it before
<Kamai> these chains that bind me will not break
<Kamai> but they must, for my lifes at stake
<Kamai> running free is my only dream
<Kamai> but that seems far from me it seems
<Kamai> the years go by, and as i fall asleep
<Kamai> i dream of forests dark and deep
<Kamai> no chains to hold me, im finally free
<Kamai> though i think to myself “can this really be?”
<Kamai> my spirits alive, i have found my song
<Kamai> ive finally found where i belong.
<Kamai> i howl my song for all to hear
<Kamai> i see my family, its too much to bear
<Kamai> they guide me home, among the stars
<Kamai> my home is near and yet so far.
<Kamai> below me somewhere a white wolf lies
<Kamai> in chains but never to wake again
<Kamai> for its soul is free no longer bound
<Kamai> her freedom has finally been found.
* Kamai as she ended her tale, a tear would fall from her eye, it was about her, but not about her, she had gotten her freedom finally, and she was happy where she was today. she would then sit and let someone else go. if she could blush she would be bright pink

* Atraya when Kamai finished her thoughtful tale of woven words and rythmic lore, she gave a grateful nod and stomp of her own paw. Much to be held in said words, and much to sing to the telling of a tale. She gave a dip of her head to Kamai “Thank you for sharing, Kamai.” her ‘gaze’ continued to look outward to those she could sense gathered. Some familiar others, passing.
* Kova took Kamai’s words and woven lore to heart as well. She thought quietly upon the offered tones and the meaning behind each lyric. She would stomp a paw slowly before she kept her tail about her haunches carefully. Finding it uncomfortable to be seated for long she quietly lowered herself down into the grass and took stalk of who was within and any who desired to share.
<Calder> When the new fae, Kamai, approached and shared her story he gave a quiet nod. All interesting, he thought. He’d never think that a pack ever held such a ceremonial type of gathering where they shared story and lore. To him, this made the most sense. Why not gather and share lore of wisdom and of history. What better way to keep the past and present alive then through story. He felt inspiration »»
<Calder> »» well within him, and perhaps his own lore he wanted to share with the pack for sometime but found no other time to do so…. until now.

* Shakira listened intently to the various story’s and snippets, poems and heartsongs spilled into the open for others to hear, a vulnerability that held a strength not many possessed. As yet another story came to an end, she suddenly felt a slight pang in her heart, a story that wasn’t hers but one that deserved to be shared nonetheless. With a deep breath, she stood and without announcing herself, began; “Some say the
* Shakira world will end in fire, some say in ice. From what I have tasted of desire, I hold with those who favor fire. Though, I think, I know enough of hate, to know that ice, is also great. And would suffice.” She finished quietly, seating herself once more and staring out ahead, trying to remember where it was she had heard such a forlorn tale.

* Fianna would have listened intently to Kamai’s tale, nodding as it fell to a close. It had depth to it as well and she’d offer a beat of her paw and a wag of her tail toward the fae, her gaze moving then to the next who would speak. Shakira’s words were brief but intriguing. She’d ponder them, savor them before giving another stamp of her paw and a wag. Good words shared by all. She had missed lore nights, the last ones
* Fianna being when she was but a wee pup and she didn’t remember those stories shared. A pang of sorrow shot through her as she thought of Faolan, of her father who had always seemed to have the best tales to tell, and she missed him.
* Atraya turned an ear and then her head to Shakira as she offered her thoughtful tones. Forlorn and thoughtful. She gave a slow rise of her paw before stomping the earth. A well spun tale of wisdom, thought and insight. “Thank you Kamai… and thank you Shakira. Beautiful tales and beautiful lore.” her tones light and equal in appreciation to those shared tales.
* Kova turned to Kamai and gave a thoughtful nod to her words and then to Shakira. It was short but she to found the meaning behind those shared words powerful. She thought quietly on her own inner monolouges and lore. It was there she tried to recall a story but she found her memory slightly blocked. Dark just like the hunt had ended her. She furrowed a brow now trying to recall her own story. »»
<Kova> »» Another chapter to a book well written with lesson and lore.
<Rook> Sobering and frightfully dark stories and prose suggested that it was not only he and a few others who had seen a wellspring of sorrow. He quite liked the prospect of wagering how the world would end, but he had the prvilege of a broader horizon…mayhaps just something other than both, he thought to himself. The sway of his tail betrayed his otherwise quiet demeanor and told of his
<Rook> own cut»»
<Rook> cont»» appreciation at hearing what would be offered. His father’s stories were always a treat, and he was sure to have a few readied for such moments as this; however, they were slightly convoluted and long. He’d wait in quiet observation of what some would call, the “right time.”
<Calder> Quietly gazed around the gathered from his backseat in the pine. Rising to all fours slowly, he would make his way into the clearing proper and giving enough space so that hopefully the others might hear him. “If I may, I would like to share a piece of lore, but only if the Alpha permits…”
* Atraya ‘s ear turned in the direction of another voice. This one was deep and belonged to a male. It was not Kajika or her son and so she would pick up the temper and tone. Calder. She recalled the male desired to linger around the territory and quietly wondered if he happen to find what he was looking for. Regardless, it was a lore night, and it was a time to share a story or a piece of inner »»
<Atraya> »» literature. It was something she extended to all, and so, she’d do so. “Please share, Calder.” her head turned in ‘his direction’.
* Kova would be caught off guard slightly by Calder as he appeared out of the shadow. She would flick an ear to the brute as he announced his desire to share something. He was an elusive male and so, she could imagine his stories might be something of interest. So.. in the favor of interest she’d eagerly await what the male had to offer.

<Calder> would be slow in his movements towards the gathered group as he walked closer, weighing what was offered by the pack before he dare to cast his voice to the gathered. He knew that he belonged not, but he also wouldn’t pass the opportunity to share a story, nae, a poem from the heart. One he felt perhaps the pack needed to hear. Some more than others. He began to offer his lore in the subtle timber and deep balk tones of his voice. (( This is him speaking the poem – The artist reading the poem is what Calders voice would sound like https://youtu.be/BRLX8y3uka0 )) “Old age hath yet his honour and his toil; Death closes all: but something ere the end, Some work of noble note, may yet be done, Not unbecoming wolves that strove with Gods. The lights begin to twinkle from the rocks: The long day wanes: the slow moon climbs: the deep Moans round with many voices. Come, my friends,’Tis not too late to seek a newer world. Push off, and sitting well in order smite the sounding furrows; for my purpose holds to sail beyond the sunset, and the baths, Of all the western stars, until I die. It may be that the gulfs will wash us down: It may be we shall touch the Happy Isles, And see the great Achilles, whom we knew. Tho’ much is taken, much abides; and tho’ we are not now that strength which in old days moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are; One equal temper of heroic hearts, made weak by time and fate, but strong in will to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.” would allow his tones to temper the mood of his shared lore. Perhaps a course of truth would be had within those words. The pack had a great deal of turmoil, tempted by the dark depths of a fate they knew not they held, but as he’s seen before, they would not yield and nor would he. He reclined back and would seat himself among the tree’s, allowing his lore to be received as it would. In hopes to inspire and offer light to the other sorrow-felt words and tones.

* Fianna would glance at Calder in some surprise as the male moved forward, asking to share. Even as the surprise waned she’d find herself intrigued. What lore would he share? Would it be an answer to the request of a tale she’d asked of him a few days ago? She would listen, calming her questioning mind as his words would speak for themselves.
* Fianna would take to heart the words, the voice which spoke them not detracting in the slightest to their import and validity, neigh the deep voice rather made the words arc through te gathering gloom in a way that seemed to cause each word to linger on in her mind. The tale was a true one, she thought, and it struck a chord within her that resounded with the struggles her pack had been dealt of late. She would not
* Fianna yield either, though many times she’d felt on the Brink of doing so. She’d stamp her paw for Calder and offer a wave of her tail to him as he passed, making his way to settle a ways off again. She was glad he’d chosen to share. She would work her gaze around the other’s again, wondering who would brave the air next.
<Fianna> (.. Nay* XD)
* Kova found herself once more cast aloft in the lore of word and thought. Carefully she would pick apart the words and the meaning behind them. She felt her chest begin to fill with the lore of all shared. Each one special and each one tempering her heart to yearn for more and to learn from it as well. She offered a stomp of her paw in the wake of Calder’s words and lore. Her gaze now cast to those wolves still present, her heart yearning more.
* Atraya shifted her paws against the stone. Old age had yet it’s honor, she thought. Much stirred within her, but it was thoughtfulness. The words, all of them, shared and given were all of noble note and she would give a stomp of her paw to Calder’s offered tale. “Thank you for sharing, Calder” her tones light and equal, perhaps keeping that light tempo to her own tune.
<Rook> Death and time; the equalizers of all things. Save for his father and Ayaka, the mortal coil ended after the expanse of the later into the former. No amount of nobility or cause circumnavigated the finality of death save for memory. He, the wolf, had little care who Achilles was, but Achilles lived on if not for just a moment–the flicker of light in an otherwise limitless inkwell of
<Rook> the cut»»
<Rook> cont»» forgotten. He had to admit, Calder addition to lore night was fine indeed. Perhaps he had underestimated the other male? Still, darker hues clung to the words like soot to the chimney. His tales would be a tone-deaf addition at best.
* Kova would look out across the gathered. She had been relaxed within the grasses, well enough to enjoy the woven words of all those who shared. Each striking a chourd and each plucking a new feather to be added to her cap. She looked to Rook for a moment and wondered curiously if he was to also add to the lore night. She admired his lore and much like his father, he spun it beautifully. Her tail »»
<Kova> »» hushed across the grasses before stilling and allowed the peace of the night mixed with the thoughtful words shared sink in to all who would absorb it.
* Atraya continued to ‘look’ out across the gathered allowing time to pass in silence and the words offered by all be shared among quiet thoughts. She felt her paws kneed the stone if only to feel its familiarity. She would continue to look out and see if there were others who desired to share but it wouldn’t be an obvious thing to her unless words were spoken. “Does anyone else desire to add to our Lore Night?”
* Fianna would find her mind going back to her father, to Ayaka. What lore would they tell now? Should they be there to tell it? Oh how she wished to know what Aya was doing, how she fared, and lands her papa was now traversing. Her heart ached then, and she felt her muzzle drop to look at the earth at her paws. A long silence seemed to echo out after Calder spoke, as if no one had anything else to add. So she rose and
* Fianna with a sigh, would offer quietly. “Ayaka offer many words of wisdom to me before she left. She told me her story, of the pack that took her in and taught her so much, a pack before ours. She told me of how they died.. Or many of them. She wanted to become a better, stronger fae than the one who ran away. And she did. She blossomed here under you, Alphess, with her sister’s. I know that wherever she is now,.. She
* Fianna is doing what she must. I hope to be a strong as she is one day. And I miss her, I miss father, and because of that I will strive to grow as well.”
* Fianna would shift her paws and settle back down, curling her tail around her. She’d had to offer at least some remnant of the ones not there into the night of wisdom and sharing.
* Atraya an ear turned to Fianna now and when she spoke her head would give a knowing nod. A paw rose up and stomped the stone for Ayaka and Faolan. “They will always live on, breathe on, in our story and our memory, for as long as I have breath left to give. That is why these gatherings of lore, and of story shared among family and friends is important. So that their story will continue to be »»
<Atraya> »» woven in all our threads. Of each of our stories…” her tones light and hopeful. It would be hard for her to sometimes feel that way with her mate among those tied to the veil of something greater then themselves, but she hoped. “Past, present and future… they are ours to keep and protect…”
* Kova would feel the stretches of her mind try to finger across old dusty shelves laden with books. Ready to be plucked for the reading. When Fianna and Atraya spoke she was withdrawn out of her mind and into the present. Her eyes light as she looked to the two fae’s and gave a firm and knowing nod. She pictured herself firmly wraped around scrolls of knowledge and lore, protecting every inch of »»
<Kova> »» their paper. Yes, she would ensure they lived on…always. Especially her sister and Faolan.
<Calder> Listened to the recant of thought and emotion from the wolves who offered it. He remained quietly seated in the back near the timber pines. He took note and observed all who were present and those shared words. He knew not of what happened to Ayaka or Faolan, but it sounded as though they too were lost to the Morrigans last tendrils of shadows. A fate which brought a frown upon his face.
* Rook would rise to his paws to offer a few words on his observations, but wisdom made him think the better of his choice. There was an ichor here that clung thickly upon the pages of tales that were not ready to be heard or shared. It was best to let them languish if languish they must. He felt sorrow for them, not for his father or Ayaka. Nuggets of wisdom or happy tales in languid
* Rook pools of cut»»
<Rook> cont»» sadness just did not sit well on his tongue. No, sometimes wisdom was in simply listening, and that is what he had done until the weight was a bit too heavy to cary any longer. Instead of speaking, he would quietly venture out towards his father’s knoll.
* Atraya would give a gentle nod of her head. Somber tones of wisdom, thoughtfulness, even some sadness she would take it all in before offering a gentle stomp of her paw, seemingly ending the night of Lore. “Thank you all for sharing, I look forward to our next tale of tales to be shared” happy or sad, it was all woven into their lore and she too would garner what wisdom and knowledge.

Pack Meeting Begins

Shukie nodded to Kamai, “thank you, Kamai.” She’d noticed the interaction with skydancer and Calder. She’d hoped to put all at ease before such could occur. She was glad to see Calder shrug off the aggression. She watched as the others began to gather around, waiting. Perhaps she should have let Calder know he was welcome to partake of the impromptu meeting. In part she waited for Kova
* Shukie to come stand beside her as the Delta should do. “g’eve sis” giving her a brief nuzzle. “Kamai has placed a few rabbits over near the tree at it’s roots.” pausing briefly, “There is to be no annimosity or aggression towards Calder. I have given him permission to come and go as he pleases and is welcome here. In fact, he’s off to help keep an eye out for the cougar.” a long pause
* Shukie would ensure before she continued. “We go to seek our alphas and missing packmates. The last known path was this way, which the cougar blocks.” She looked now to Kova, “what news do you have from your investigations?” starting with her DeltaIT.
* skydancer watches the interaction between the two sisters then frowns at shukies announcement though she knows better than to question. evenso she won’t trust the brute so easily and she once again glances behind her trying futily to spot the black form against a dark backdrop at night. twitching her nose alertly and not just for untrustworthy brutes either she then turns her attention back forward. just in time to returns kovas gree

* Fianna would be sitting attentively, perking when Kova began speaking of their latest findings. She was reminded at last of her worry for Atraya. Could her mother see at all? Was she even alive? She would be vulnerable against the cougar should she try and return from that direction. She held her tongue for the time being, but how could they help Atraya if they had no idea where she was? She’d glance around at the
* Fianna cluster of females gathered, and settle against Kwa`ani some as she listened.
<Kova> »»»( cut sky: returns kovas gree- )«««
* skydancer greeting with a dip of her own muzzle.(end)
* Kwa`ani nodded tho those arriving and to Kamai for the hunting done. She waited for Shukie to continue and give instructions on what their next plan of attack will be. she whispered to Fianna, “ya got me good sister! I’ll be ready the next time.” her fur still damp and muddied from being trompled by Shukie. The mud blended in with her fur.
* Shakira found a spot near the edge of the group as a short meeting seemed to be taking place, remaining standing as she figured this would be a brief strategy planning and they would be off to chase the cougar out of their lands. She gave a quick nod or a nuzzle in greeting to any nearby, taking in the scents of the various pack members as well as the she-wolf she had just recently met, though a new scent came to her as
* Shakira well. Another intake of breath had her ruff standing on end, not a new scent; the scent of the male her and Skydancer had tracked a few months back, the one who had caused so much trouble for the pack. But with his scent lingering around, no more than minutes old, why was no one concerned about him being here? She thought this quietly to herself while scanning the area for any male wolves she didn’t find familiar, her ears tuned in to the words of the Beta.
* Shukie looked out to the others. “Does anyone know of another way to ascend adn avoid the cougar?” she looked around knowing many have wandered and investigated the territory over the years. “Calder indicated he knew not of another way to ascend on the path we’ve chosen. It might not even be the right direction.” she paused to give others time to comment glancing to the fae sisters.
* Shukie “I’m going to be blunt and i’m sure all have had similar thoughts. Our alphess is long missing and with her being blind she may have been killed, died in a fall or other hazard. We’ve no way of knowing. I have every faith in her abilities but realism must be taken into account as well.” her head drooped a bit as she spoke the last.
* Kova shook her muzzle slowly “THe only other way would take at least a near full day. Maybe half a morning? The great crossing to the far west of here, and go all the way around? but we’d have to go through the entire mountain’s pass / region.” she thought aloud. “The northern pass has always been the easiest way in and out.” she would nod slowly to Shukie’s words, the worry for their »»
<Kova> »» alphas evident, as well as Ayaka’s wellbeing. Where was she? What kept her so long.
* Kamai couldn’t think of another way through at the moment. she flattened her ears as she heard of atraya missing. she hoped all would be well. as kova told of another way she would look to shukie. yes it would be a backtrack and take more time but it wa s safer the na puma for sure
* Fianna felt herself shaking her head to deny Shukie’s blunt words, the initial question fading in the background of the horrid cloud that threatened to decend where she to acknowledg that her mother truly might never return. She forced her shaking head to still and though her muscles grew rigid she kept her eyes on Shukie. The beta was doing everything in her power to find Atraya, she knew. “Can we scale the rock at
* Fianna all? Or is it too sheer? I’d be willing to traverse some dangerous ground to find mother.” She spoke up.”I’m willing to give a cougar the boot too.” She knew it might sound desperate but she couldn’t yet find it in her to give up. “If we must go around, then let’s do so, but..” She looked to Kwa`ani with wide eyes, then back at Shukie. “Lead the pack to stay here if you must, if that’s the most logical decision,
* Fianna but.. I can’t just leave her…” Her voice sounded a bit tortured and she hated to allow her weakness to show.
* Kova would no doubt feel the emotions from both Fianna and Kwa`ani about their mother. She had hoped for the best for the fae, and that, whatever kept her for so long would do so for good reason. Ayaka to. She had to hold out hope for her sister. She missed her dearly and like the two daughters, she also was worried. For their sakes, she kept as strong as she could. Hope was a powerful thing. »»
<Kova> »» “I’m also in line with booting the cat out as well, if only to free our northern pass. Otherwise I say we send the swiftest wolves, two no more, to go around.”
* Kwa`ani gave a shake of her head to Shukie’s question, her head dropping low at the words spoken aloud that she’d tried her darndness to not even think. The beta was right to put things in perspective and what the possibilities were of finding her, let alone finding her alive. She stiffened noticibly. `was that why Shukie did all the promotions she had?` With a violent shake of her head,
* Kwa`ani “She is »»
<Kwa`ani> »» alive! We WILL find her!” there was not even a smidgeon of doubt in her vocals, her eyes going wide daring anyone to contradict her. “I will do what ever it takes.” As each spoke her head rose again, proud and daring.
* Shukie pondered the Delta’s suggestions. “A good idea Kova. Yet we are too few to take on the cougar and it would set us up for failure at best.” She glanced over her shoulder, “There is the pathway wherein we battled the bear. The earthshake dislodged some of the rocks and we could ascend there. Yet the problem remains..” pausing to gather her thoughts, “If this is the path Atraya took
* Shukie wherein the cougar has staked its claim, We must drive it off.”
* Kova would nod her head in agreement to Shukie’s suggestion. “Agreed” she rose a paw and lowered it to the earth. “I think our best action, agreed to Shukie’s, is to drive it out? The more wolves the better.”
* Shakira simply shook her head quietly in response to Shukies question, swallowing a lump that appeared in her throat at the thought of the Alphas being dead. They had so openly welcomed her into their pack, their family, Atraya especially had always been such a warm presence to her, like a second mother in a way. She remained silent as the others conversed, ready and willing to fight for her family if necessary.
* Kamai looked to shukie “i believe we can beat that cougar theres seven of us and one of him. im sure we might have a chance. if its the only way we can quickly find the alphess im all for it. i dont mind a tough climb. its worth a shot at least hopefully?” she said hoping she wasn’t speaking out of place.
* Kamai but kovas plan seemed a good one
* skydancer shakes her head slightly at shukies question none that usuable any way. any and all would take a lot of time. the two youngsters denials make her looks towards them with sympathy even though her own heart ached with the thought of having lost a great leader. at the mention of atraya potentially trying to get back past the now blocked path her blood runs cold. “considering the long odds..” she falls silent for a heart beat”i
* Kwa`ani nodded slowly to the beta’s decision. “I want everyone back!” her voice cracked a bit with emotion. She and Fianna had not had much training yet as guardians yet it was their responsibility. As her mind pushed out all the negative thoughts she spoke up, smiling to Kamai’s reaction. “How do you want to approach this?” thinking herself and perhaps Fiannal should lead off? or was it
* Kwa`ani better for »»
<Kwa`ani> »» the beta? or the delta with all her hunting and tracking experience. Realizing there were lots of options. She knew Kova and Shukie were the most battle experienced.
* Shukie nodded to skydancer sensing the conflicting emotions. “It is a danger to us regardless that it blocks the path we have decided upon for it just as easily can trapse down into our lands and begin hunting our prey and a long wolf would stand no chance against it. One way or another it needs to be driven off for our safety and not just that of any returning this way which have been
* Shukie missing.” she wanted everyone back. But it was her responsibility and her decision alone. “It is too close and needs to be driven off.”
* Kova she thought it was no easy task to come up with a viable solution, but she had strength and knew the pack did to. “I will stand with you Shukie” she gave a firm nod of her head, ready to move off and go chase that pesky cougar off.
* skydancer listens respectfully to shukies reply not entirely convinced it’s only one cougar so it still seems like an awful lot of risk for very little gain in her eyes but shukies section is and so she lowers her head in acceptance. “if that is your decision. I’m coming too. you’ll need every wolf you can get.” she says firmly.
* Shukie looked to each, “We are strong together.” she now determined who would start. “Kova, you are our best hunter and tracker. You’ve found it’s tracks, scent and its paths. I’d have you lead us.” She knew Shakira was also familiar with the cougar’s paths and scent yet had her hold back.” She noted skydancer’s skepticism which made her wonder if she wanted the alphas back or felt them
* Shukie not worth the pack’s possible injuries. She tossed those thoughts out. “I’ll follow with Shakira, then our two guardians. skydancer and Kamai will come behind incase the feline sneaks up from behind.” She worried for skydancer for the fae had a lame paw and several injuries now healed yet severe. Kamai she didn’t have any experience knowing the fae’s capabilities in an endeavor such as this. She gave Kova the nod to lead on.
* Fianna had fallen silent for a long while, listening to the other’s talk about what needed to be done as her mind still buzzed with Shukie’s words. She might not be coming back.. It threatened to shut her down but finally she found the strength to push aside her panic and focus again on the matter a hand. The pack’s safety. “I am ready and willing to bear the danger of the cougar. Whatever you decide, beta.” She offered
* Fianna with as calm of a tone as she could muster and a dip of her head. “Perhaps all us at once would surprise the cougar enough to overwhelm it and send it packing with less of a fight”
* Kamai nodded to the betas words and would stand up preparing to leave. she may have beena shy wolf but she had the strength and swiftness to hold her own. though she had rarely taken ona cougar with the pack so she wasn’t sure how it would act at seeing the wolves. still she was ready. if it meant getting the alpha and the other packmembers back  as worth it

Pack Meeting Begins

* Shukie drew herself up even as she yawned several time. With a brisk shake she sent the sleepiness away. with one more shake of her head she tipped her nose to the sky and issued forth a well recognized howl calling what pack was nearby to the clearing.
* Kwa`ani weaved through the ancient forest heading southwest now as she’d heart Shukie’s howl. Hmm, she wondered. What was the beta up too? Altering her path even more she took the direct route towards the clearing’s meeting place tho she’d pause where the treeline opened up to the clearing.
* Kova would be settled just at the fringe of the clearing’s edge. She had taken the liberty of burying her bone! Yes, her bone. The one that didn’t fight back. A low grumble escaped her jowls as she would yawn, bend her frame down and shake her coat out. She tilted her head and looked towards the direction of the East then back to the North. Who lingered?
* Fianna had already been on her way, and her path would now just be crossing a portion of the hunting grounds as she angled her way toward the clearing at a slow trot. When the howl rang through, sounding a bit faint from her vantage she would pick up the pace and lope onward. She wondered what the Beta wanted, curiousity spurring her paws faster.
* Shukie eyed the stone to her left wishing Atraya and faolan were atop it as normal. It sat vacant as it had for more time than she could calculate. With an easy and graceful leap she now stood atop the stone waiting for the pack to assemble, sitting for the moment at least.
* Kwa`ani moved on through the forest boundary, stopping for a brief moment at the stream, lapping at the cool water getting the dust from her muzzle from her night’s sleep. How do the sand creatures always seem to find their way into her muzzle and build their inferno sand dunes. Within a few moments she lept across and it was then she offered up a chuff to those who might be arrive or
* Kwa`ani already there. »»
<Kwa`ani> »» She blinked seeing the beta atop her parents perch, glaring for the briefest of instances then smiled realizing it was a meeting and right for the beta to be perched there. She’d seen Shukie there with atraya and fao a few times.
* Fianna would finally be reaching the clearing’s edge and once there she would slow to a walk to allow her time to sift through what scents lofted her way. She liked to know before entering who was within. She didn’t stop entirely though for Shukie had called after all. Heading for the alpha stone, Fianna took note of Shukie atop it. A pang of sorrow shot through her, frustration that it wasn’t her parents. Nothing
* Fianna against the Beta who was doing well in the alphas absence, but she couldn’t help but feel this should all be going another way.. The old way. She found a spot quietly a bit on the edge and waited.
* skydancer wanders along the Lake as a howl suddenly sound through the forest causing her to pause and listen ears swiveling slightly checking the calls direction then sets of at a lope along the lakes southern shore right where the sand is firmest excited even entering the water evade plant growth.
* skydancer making short work of the distance she soon has to slow her pace as she slips into the forest heading east and a slow trot as she weaves among the trees.(end)
* Shukie nodded to the alpha siblings, a smile playing upon her lupine lips. “Hello Fianna, Kwa`ani.” Her gaze scanned the area for others impatient to set her plans in motion. Tail curled over top of her hind paw, the tip flicking now and again as her ears swiveled to pick up on any wuffers heading to the clearing.
* Kwa`ani would move to sit beside her sister when she arrived, nuzzling her affectionately. “How you be?” she took the current silence as an ok to continue converstation until the Beta would stand to open the meeting up. She wondered what all was on the agenda.
* Kova when the distance was closed between herself and all the others, she would sit down, just at the right edge of the alpha’s rock. Her eyes fallen to her sister as she offered a warm smile.
* Fianna would shift to greet Kwa`ani in return, having missed her initial chuff. She would feel her spirits lift a bit, fanning her pleasure at seeing the fae. She would allow her frame to lean into Kwa slightly as she gave her cheek a lick. “Hi Kwa. I’m well enough. You?” She would turn curious hues toward Shukie, and then take note of Kova entering the area. She’d offer a bellow chuff to the fae.
* Shukie smiled to Kova, tail wagging fully before once again growing still. She dipped her head to those present at last rising. “I’d like to open this meeting to further develope my plan to seek out our missing alphas, rook and Ayaka. They’ve been gone too long.” she paused to see if any others were straggling in or not before continuing. “I had hoped for some signs or something to tell
* Shukie is what to expect, directions to go that we can find them or find answers of their status.”
* skydancer making her way through the forest as a gathering call is definitely important, maybe there would be hunt? she licks her chops briefly at the thought of fresh elk. then quickly returns her attention to the path. no sense in letting ones guard after all(con)
* Kova would be focused on Shukie and to the words she offered. She gave a slow nod of her head as she listened to Shukie proposal and plan. She would shift her paws in thought and more so, emotion, missing her sister. Wondering where they’ve gone.
* Fianna would perk and sit up straighter as Shukie began the meeting, her ears swiveling toward the Beta. She thought of something she wanted to ask about, that might play a part in this..plan, but for bow she kept quiet for they hadn’t been invited to speak yet. What did the Beta have up her proverbial sleeves?
* Kwa`ani whispered that she was doing good as evidenced by her distended belly. As Shukie spoke she hushed up to listen realizing the Beta was setting in motion plans to find their family. She nodded to Kova in greetings and gave her attention to Shukie, tail swaying against the grasses.
* Shukie saw skydancer approach and gave a brief nod then continued. “I want to set in motion a search in stages and sections. What I’m proposing is to have groups of two, if possible go out in different directions, predominately to the north areas.” she paused for a moment or two then continued. “Initially, no more than a day’s distance seeking signs of them and then returning the
* Shukie following day. This will keep us all from excessive worry on what is happening with those doing the searching.” she gazed to those here. “and, it will allow us to protect the territory by not having all of us gone at the same time.” Again her gaze would take in the reactions of those here. “I offer for comments or suggestions, other ideas on finding our family.” she gave a dip
* Shukie of her head indicating the floor is open for comments and suggestions.
* Shukie of her head indicating the floor is open for comments and suggestions.
* Fianna would consider Shukie’s words for a long moment, letting the idea linger in her mind. It was a good one. Better than any she’d come up with. This was testament to how good a choice her parents had made in their choice of beta. She rose, dipping her head respectfully to Shukie. “I think the idea is a good one. I wanted to ask you if you have made any headway on figuring out what the rock symbol to the north is and
* Fianna why it is there? The one Calder pointed us to. I’ve not seen Nyctea around, but I’d hoped to find the owl, who might have more information. I’ve seen not a feather of him though.” She sat back down. Indicating she was done speaking.
* Kova would give a slow nod of her head to Shukie as she listened to what she offered and gave an agreeing nod as well. She was ready and willing to do her part to search for their missing alpha’s and sister. “I think this is a very sound and solid plan” she said lightly
* skydancer ears perk up at shukies explanation as she quietly picks a spot to sit and listening to each in turn
* Kwa`ani rubbed her muzzle against her sister’s scruff as she then rose. “Just how do we figure out what paths to take? The world is vast as is our territory? Are we to randomly move in different directions?” she paused drifting off in thought. “Would it not be a good idea that instead of only going a day that we set up a central area where we all start from and as each group returns with
* Kwa`ani news, they »»
<Kwa`ani> »» then return to the packlands to guard it. Rinse and repeat?” she offered, head tilting to the side as she finished speaking to again sit down beside Fianna.
* Atraya had been to the north, captured in a veil of the unknown. She had seated herself near a small stream, her hues fallen to the horizon as she could vaugley see the imprint of the light from the day. Her mind wandering on her family and to what was to come in the future for them.
* Shukie first addressed Fianna. “No, I have not been to the formation. Once we’re done here I’d like you to take me there if time permits. I have seen neither Calder who had wanted to see me and Kwa`ani from what I understand nor have I seen Nyctea.” She turned her focus upon Kwa`ani. “A good idea. Kwa`ani. Tag team to allow us to cover more distance each day.” giving a dip of her head
* Shukie in approval to the two youths, tho not so young now and definitely she was not a youth by a long shot. “other ideas or suggestions?” One never knows without asking for ideas from others if something wiser might be found for an option.
* Kova she thought quietly on the words shared by both Fianna and Kwa`ani. She offered a dip of her head, solid questions and she turned to her sister to see what her response would be. The next course of action would be important, but she knew the pack would work together. She wondered as well about the oddity that was found to the north. No answers just yet, but she hoped soon they would be able to get them. “I will be happy to assist where I am needed. I know most of the routes in and out of here, and the best paths to take. I’d be happy to lend those suggestions to the scouting parties.”
* Fianna looked woth admiration to Fianna, then nodded her agreement to both her sister and Kova. “Yes Shukie I would be glad to take you there. It is to the far north.” She’d respond before falling silent again, waiting to see what was next.
* Shakira would be resting just inside the eastern treeline of the Clearing, having slept away most of the day, unaware of the meeting that was in progress. She stretched her paws out in front of her before rising to all fours, giving a light shake to her coat before padding out into the open of the Clearing, scanning the expanse as she moved toward the center, picking up her pace as she noticed a decent sized group near
* Shakira the Alpha Rock.
* Shukie nodded to Kova with an approving smile. “In that case, Kova, I’ll set you to select the best location for us to establish a home base of sorts.” She looked to Fianna wehn the fae spoke. “When we’re done here or in the Very near future.” At Shakira’s approach she opted to put the fae into the hotseat. “Shakira, Come forward please.” An evil grin played upon her features.
<`Raven> <Larka> *Kamaitachi had woken up near the outskirts of the clearing. she had been asleep so long that her limbs were all stiff. as she lifted her head and stretched out her limbs that cracked she heard a howl and would slowly stand up and make her way towards the clearing. she didnt know what was going on since she had been asleep for ages so she was curious to know what was happening
* Fianna perked and watched Shakira join the meeting, only to get immediately called forward. She tilted her head, curious to what the Beta had in mind. She leaned a bit against Kwa`ani, her shoulder rubbing the fae a bit.
* skydancer listens attentively to the Plan as suddenly shukies shift in attention notifies her of Shakiras approach the faces grin puts her on alert the beta must be planning, Something. but what that is The question.
* Kova would give a firm nod of her head to her sister and Beta. “I will happily do so.” her tail swung behind her happily. SHe seated herself slowly again before looking then to Shakira. She smiled happily, waving her tail again.
* Shakira offered a light chuff to the group as a general greeting, looking for a spot to sit somewhere near the side of the group until her name was spoken, her ears perking as the Beta called her forward. What could she be called forward for, was she in trouble for some reason? That couldn’t be, she thought as she noticed the devilish smile on Shukies face. She stepped forward with a dip of her head. “My Beta.” She
* Shakira greeted, unsure what to expect.
* Kamai would see the meeting already starting and would spot sky and the others nearby and would silently pad over and sit down close to them wondering what was going on
* Shukie nodded to Shakira. “Shakira. You have only been pack a short time yet you have shown ongoing fortitude and strength, a willingness to do more than is expected of a pack member.” She paused, for an extra moment or two before continuing. “As Beta and Acting Alpha (the grimace could be seen if one was paying attention at those two words) I would like to offer you the opportunity to
* Shukie grow into a hunter for our pack, to see to its well being and to keep us fed.” again she paused, “Should you accept, you will work with both Kova and myself to further learn of various hunting techniques and strategies.” She now looked to the pack to appraise their reaction before giving her full attention to Shakira.
* Kwa`ani knew that tone the beta was using and smirked, perhaps outwardly tho intended to only be inner reaction as she nodded. She blurted out, “She did make the kill on the caribou and in short order too!” cringing as she realized she not only grimaced outwardly but blurted out her thoughts.
* Kamai listened as shukie talked about serving as alpha and wondererd exactly what she had missed and was intent on asking when the meeting was over. though hearing shakira becoming a huntress in training she woofed her agreement.
* Fianna would wave her tail wildly to show her support of Shakira branching into the role of hunter. It was an important one to say the least, and she felt with what she knew of Shakira, the fae would do well and take it seriously. Excitement for the fae glinted in her eyes as she waited.
* Kova tail swung quickly behind her as she listened to Shukie’s words and to the opprtunity for Shakira to learn the ropes of hunting in a more skilled position. She would bow her head to Shukie, honored to help the fae along her journey. She flicked an ear and looked out towards a new wolf to her, Kami? She rose to all fours as she tried to recall this fae who seemed to appear.
* skydancer definitely catches onto shukies expression. at the betas next words she opens her muzzle just a bit in a wolven smile happy for Shakira.
* Shakira blinked in astonishment as she was offered the role of Hunter, one she definitely wouldn’t have expected to be offered with her past failures on pack hunts. Though as she thought on it now, she had improved her hunting skills greatly over her years with the pack, and this would be a training phase where she would learn further still. “It would be an honor and a privilege, I accept.” She said softly, her heart
* Shakira racing as yet another surprise was sprung on her by the Beta.
* Shukie nodded to Shakira. She glanced to the pack assembled before responding, “Shakira, I promote you to Hunter in Training. Your progress will determine If and When you attain full hunter status. Kova will explain in further detail the basics as time allows as will I. You may introduce yourself as WolfSpirits Hunter in Training!” before tampping her front paws upon the stone, “Congrats
* Shukie on your new journey with the pack!” her tail wagging as she once again stood still, having noticed the new fae in their midsts giving her a brief nod.
* Kamai would let out a quick howl at the new advancement and would continue to sit and look up wondering what else was gonna be said.
* Kova ‘s tail waved behind her as she listened to Shakira’s acceptance, she would momentarily turn from Kami, and when Shukie named her a hunter in trainning, she would rise her paws up and chuff bark then to the fae! She was so happy for her.
* Kwa`ani added her own tones to those of the pack in congrats to Shakira most happy for the fae, her tail wagging as she settled back again, to see what and when they’d set to leave to find their family.
* Fianna would rise and give Shakira a bright chuff and a stamp of her paw as she welcomed the fae to her new role. She would watch her talents eagerly.
* Kwa`ani + gave a dip of her head to Kamai as she joined the group, vaguely recalling the fae’s scent tho barely.
* Shukie smiled and when Shakira returned to her position in the group she then called the alpha pups forward. Her grin even more evil than the last one. “Fianna, Kwa`ani, please step forward.”
* Kova when her sister called Kwa`ani forward, she couldn’t help but swing her tail behind her and then to Fianna as well. She perked her ears forward and curious like wondering what the proceedings will be for the two alpha daughters.
* skydancer as the next pair is called forward her ears perk up with interest. she’s seen these two grow up after all.
* Shakira ‘s tail wagged quickly behind her as she was promoted yet again, so many surprises from this pack she now called family. She gave a warm nuzzle to any she passed as she returned to her spot along the edge of the group, her tail continuing in it’s motion as she seated herself and watched as the Alphas daughters were called forward.
* Kamai wagged her tail as she remembered these faes and watched as they walked up to take their turn
* Fianna had just finished Congratulating Shakira when she heard her name called followed closely by her sister’s. Hmm, intrigued she rose and moved forward in step with Kwa`ani. Kept her focus on the beta as she moved to stop nearer the alpha stone. “Yes my beta?” She asked.
* Kwa`ani blinked and nudged her sister as she rose and moved to stand before the Beta giving the fae a respectful nod, ‘Yes my Beta?” her tail lowered, ears slightly flat wondering what was up the beta’s fur.
* Kova swung her tail slowly behind her as she looked towards the two Alpha fae’s. Her hues fell between Fianna and Kwa`ani. She couldn’t help but be more curious as well, excited. She gave a nod to Shakira, happy for the new huntress in training before looking to the alpha daughters.
* Shukie dipped her head to the alpha fae pups. “Fianna, I have noticed for the past several months you have taken it upon yourself to see to our boarders and ensuring our territory is known to be protected by a pack. You have done most well in doing what needed done without being asked. I commend you on your perseverance and attention to detail.” She paused and looked to Kwa`ani. “Kwa`ani.
* Shukie You and I have traveled together for so long that I know your attention to detail as well and penchant to ensure nothing encroached upon us without warning.” Again she paused and looked to the pack before turning back to the two faes. “I am offering you the position of guardian scouts.” It was a combined ranking for now due to their limited numbers, she might split them again in
* Shukie the future but for now she wanted both covered. “You, should you accept, be known as the packs Guardians and Scouts in protecting our boarders and those within it.” Again she paused then added, “I do not wish to split you two into different ranks as it can distance you as it distanced Kova and I to be on different tasks within the pack. Do you accept this new responsibility?”
* Kova couldn’t help but smile at both the fae’s. She thought it to be interesting to share a combined rank, but to her, it made sense. Not until they can gain the needed numbers again. She often thought long and hard on the desire and need for numbers and new blood. Perhaps a scouting to the further reaches of the wilds to find other wolves might be needed, but then again, wolves often wandered to »»
<Kova> »» them.
* Kwa`ani blinked looking first to Shukie while stealing a glance at her sister as she responded after a long lull to consider it deeply, at times shaking her head sideways or nodding. She’d not thought of ranks and was caught off guard to say the least. After pondering, realising the enorimity of the rank she nearly declined. She trusted Shukie, wholey and her judgement of their skills.
* Kwa`ani “Yes, my »»
<Kwa`ani> »» Beta. I accept and will do all I can to ensure the safety of our pack and family, visitors and friends.” her tail swayed sideways once as her ears lifted upright. When she finished speaking she dipped her head in respect to the Beta.
* Fianna felt a bit floored by the proposition. Not one but two ranks, both of equal importance, and she was thrilled she was being offered it alongside one of her most favorite wolves of all time. She considered the task for several long breaths, turning over in her mind to give it equal weight before looking to Kwa`ani nosing her, waiting for her to speak first, and then turning to look at Shukie, dipping her head in
* Fianna respect. “Beta I thank you for the honor. I will always be willing to fight tooth and nail should it be required, but to try and avoid such by keeping our borders secure. I accept the responsibility.”.
* Shukie nodded to Fianna and Kwa`ani. “From hereon you may introduce yourselves as Wolfspirits, Guardians in training.” As she’d combined the two ranks into one, Guardians was the appropriate position title she felt. Again, she stomped her paws upon the stone’s surface, doubly long as it was the two alpha pups. She knew it should be Atraya and Faolan promoting them. What needed doing
* Shukie was left up to her. When the congrats calmed down she let the two fae’s know she would teach them what was expected and give them their initial guidance upon their new ranks. Wehn the two made their way back to the pack she then leveled her gaze upon Kova. Her tones grew even more serious as she now called her sister forward. “Kova, step forward please.”
* Kamai smiled and swayed her tail more exictedly as the ywere announced as guardian and scout. guardian being what she wanted to work towards herself. she then let out a howl for their advancement
* Kova the excitement within her couldn’t be contained, and she rose a paw like Faolan had usually done during meetings and stomped the earth before letting loose a low barking chuff, that sauntered into a lower howl for the pair. She thought the fae’s where well due and well deserving. They’d spent a lot of waking hours patroling and makeing sure their home was safe. It wasn’t until she heard her »»
<Kova> »» name be called did she tilt her head. Her gaze scanned across the others gathered, but would allow the two daughters to step back before she bowed her head respectfully, and rose to all fours. She approached the rock, once more dipping her head “My Beta” her gaze full of light.
* Kwa`ani perked as she started to move back to where she had been sitting still in shock on the promotion. When Kova was called forth she began thinking the fae would be repromoted to perhaps lead huntress? her eyes were glued upon the two fae’s before them even as her tail waggled and waggled for herself, Fianna and Shakira. Structure she thought. It was a good thing.
* Shukie gazed affectionately at her sister. “This, what I’m to offer to you is no easy task, well beyond all you have done before yet in all you have done you have shown your loyalty to the pack, the love and care needed to be given and been there for me when needed, there for the alpha’s when needed.” her voice trailed off before her tonghe swirled around her lips. “With Ayaka missing
* Shukie as well as our alpha’s and Rook. I have need of someone to fill in the position of Delta.” she paused for dramatic effect..insert appropriate music… “If you agree, I would like to offer you the position of Delta in Training.” her tones were even more solemn than with the others for this was no light offering.
* Shakira sent up a brief but joyous howl for the pair, her heart swelling with pride for her fellow packmates. Her tail continued in it’s motion along the ground as yet another was called forward, Kova.
* Kwa`ani ‘s eyes grew wide at the rank Shukie was offering to Kova. It seemed fitting for the fae was very wise and she was one she would turn too when needed. WoW! what a day for promotions! What else did the beta have in store for them she began to wonder….
* skydancer as the two siblings are promoted she lifts her muzzle to howl in congratulations then falls silent and attentive once more as kova is called forward her ears perking with interest at younger wolf curious to hear the feas response.
* Fianna felt her heart swell for all those within her pack, all those ranked as members who she called family. They were what she fought for. Settling down by Kwa`ani se licked her sister’s cheek. “Well done sis.” She’d whisper before turning to Kova and her.. Delta? She perked, fully at attention now. It hurt to think how long Ayaka had been missing now, how often the fae had offered her words of encouragement ad helped
* Fianna her when she was down, offering her wisdom. Still, Fianna had spent a good deal of time with Kova as well, and she trusted the fae Implicitly. It was a good fit, even if she did miss those who were gone.
* Kova she could feel the ebb and flow of her heart. The warmth of the blood with both pride and with love. She had done all she has and could for her beloved home, and ever sense her sister and herself had been born to it, there was a deep fond connection that always was constant. Such as was her decision. Her head would bow ever so lightly as she would look up again to Shukie. This was no easy »»
<Kova> »» decision for either, and her heart panged just a little with her missing sister, Ayaka. The fae very capable of her role and she did it well. She had some big paws to fill, but fill them she would. “I am honored, Shukie, Beta of WolfSpirits, to be asked to become Delta in Training of WolfSpirits. This is my home, now and forever, and I will see to it’s vestige of wellbeing, growth, strength, »»
<Kova> »» and kinship until my very last breath. I will protect it with my life.” her head rose, her chest swelled, and the admiration for her home well evident.
* Kamai would smile and howl once again for kova becoming delta. it was a big responsibility but she was happy for everyone
* Shukie ‘s tail begain to sway when her sister accepted. “Then, by all here as witness, I declare you to be Delta in Training and may introduce yourself to all you meet.” after a brief pause, “I am in need of your guidance as is the pack. I’ve no doubt you are well suited to assume this mantle of responsibility.” With several barks of congrats her front paws Stomped upon the stone.
* Kova swung her tail behind her, a little higher with pride and admiration for her home and her new role. She would offer a howling bark to the winds before reaching over and nuzzling her sister, Shukie, grateful for the new role and to be able to serve her pack to the fullest. Finding purchase on the ground again she turned and stood next to Fianna and Kwa`ani. Tail still waving for all the »»
<Kova> »» happenings thus far.
* Fianna felt this newest promotion warranted a howl and so, waiting until Shukie had made it official she would raise her muzzle and wag as she sang a song of congratulations to their new Delta in training!
* Atraya whatever kept the Alpha and the others would no doubt be for good reason, a meeting of strength and growth she was missing, but felt in spirit. She remained seated below a large pine, hunkered over at the top indicating it had survived severe weather throughout it’s growth. Her blank white eyes scanning the horizon, starring out in deep thought. Deep heart.
* Shukie glared at Kova, “Sis, as Delta in training your place is now beside me.” she teased playfully recalling atraya had done thusly to her when she first moved to settle with the pack after her delta promo.
* skydancer once again throws back her head and let’s out a howl of congratulations joining in what appears to be forming quite a nice little chorus.
* skydancer once again throws back her head and let’s out a howl of congratulations joining in what appears to be forming quite a nice little chorus.
* Kova perked to Shukie and blinked, then realizing her place she would bow again and nose both Fianna and Kwa`ani and turn to the rock where she would leap up on the one overhang. There standing beside Shukie, she grinned and nosed her apologetically.
* Shakira lifted her muzzle skyward as a howl rang out for the newly named Delta, her heart warm and light in her chest filled with love and admiration for her pack and how far they had come.
<Shukie> stuff. On to the last order of business. As it’s me for now, until we get atraya back, I’m setting new procedures for joining the pack and promotions. If new wolf comes in, they are welcome to request to join, however, it will be at my and my council’s discretion to offer up the option to pledge and won’t be allowing it to be requested at meetings as we have in the past. When we feel a
<Shukie> wolf is ready to begin the process, we will call them forth to pledge, advance to each stage when we feel one is ready and not before. I absolutely abhore people/wolves asking and insinuating at advancement, a rank wanted, etc. Atraya may change things later or she might not. *looks to the ghostly alpha to add to things in her own fashion and correct/make changes she sees fit
<Shukie> *inserts ‘OOC’ before stuff…lol*
<Atraya> (»»( Sounds fine to me 🙂 )««)
<Ayaka> -((Same here. It’ll help to clarify things.))-
<Kamai> (sounds good to me)
<Fianna> ((wags. yes Beta!))
<Kova> »»»( agreed 😀 )«««
<Shukie> I have a tendancy to do things on the spur of the moment for things like hunts, promo’s, etc not necessarily waiting for a meeting to do things. regular rp’g will be rewarded during rp vs waiting for meetings etc. You’ll never know when my evil side will kick in and i’ll do something *grins* Most times I will do at meetings. And as always, when we get our alpha back, things are subject
<Shukie> to change *grin*. what one puts into their char and rp is what i watch for *tailwags
<Kamai> (yay sounds great to me.)
<Kova> »»»( I’ll be updating the website, fb and all that more frequently to try and give headsup, and the like. Also i’ll be working on recruiting more wolves! )«««
<Kamai> (ill help with finding peeps if i can.)
<Shukie> Anyone have questions, suggestions, etc?? before i close the meeting?
<Fianna> {{I pointed someond this way a few days ago from rpr and I hope to see them join. They are great at role play.}}
<Fianna> {{not questions}}
<Kamai> (none from me. that i can think of)
<Kova> »»»( Just kind of a point on the website. I’ll be updating the front page and revamping a whole bunch of other pages 🙂 So in the coming days / weeks if the pages look off, weird, or whatever that’s just me updating! )«««
<Shukie> (kewls Fianna!.. awesome Kova, let me know if i can help with that)
<Kamai> (sounds good. and i can be put off loa now if i was still on loa from before)

* Shukie lifted her muzzle in a congratulatory howl for all as she closed the meeting. Leaning over she nuzzled her sister, “Congrat’s sis!” she whispered. With that she hopped down to nuzzle Shakira, Fianna and Kwa`ani in congrats as well. “I’ll be getting with each of you oer the next few days to give a detailed listing of your new duties. Upon seeing the new fae and catching her scent
* Shukie she realized it was a fae she’d met before that had been on the northlands quest with her brother, who was it? Darth.. trying to recall the brute’s name for they’d both disappeared so long ago now. “Welcome back, Kamai.” To the group itself, “Here in the next few days we’ll find a good spot to set up a rondevous point to start our search for our family. She took the time to nuzzle
* Shukie each wolf before sitting back on her haunches incase anyone had questions

Pack Meeting Begins

* Shukie took in what Fianna had to say and first answered her last statement, “No, I’ve not crossed his path yet.” as she spoke she focused her gaze upon Kwa`ani.. “Have you seen Calder, Kwa`ani?” She had yet to puzzle out the rock formation. “tomorrow I’ll take a look at it myself when it’s light enough to see easily.” Her gaze went back to Fianna, “Well done, Fianna.” Now what did the
* Shukie scamp want to see her for, that was the most curious thing, and Kwa as well it seemed. She’d be on the lookout for him in the coming days and or weeks. As Shakira spoke, “Excellent, Shakira. Yes, I’d like to get a pack hunt going in the next day or two at the most. That’ll save search time. Until then, keep tabs on them if you would but remain well out of sight and perhaps even
* Shukie mask your scent with a mud bath to avoid the winds carrying it.” She nodded to Kwa`ani but didn’t give her any instructions just yet. “Well done, Shakira.”
* Fianna dipped her head to Shukie’s words, glad to have at least been a bit enlightening, ifnot just the bearer of more mysterious tidings. She perked up as Shakira spoke of Dall sheep, remembering hunts past of those creatures. They loved the rocky cliff type terrain. She had heard Kwa`ani ‘s joking question about Calder when they’d been alone, and saw her curious gaze now but she avoided answering because she wasn’t sure what to
* Fianna call her feelings on that subject. They couldn’t even truly become friends yet due to the circumstances, so how could she understand if it could be more?
* Shukie stood and squared her gaze upon Shakira. “I may not be seen much over the past weeks and months, I’m still well aware of what all goes on. You’ve shown in words and actions that you have learned what is expected of a WolfSpirit. You’ve spoken of family. Is it still your desire to become one with WolfSpirits?” This was not a light question to be answered, yet one which must be
* Shukie asked. “what is your reason for joining our family?”
* Kova swung her tail behind her but when the call to a gathering seemed to come in order she would rise to all fours and straighten herself appropraitely. She would look between Shukie and then to Shakira, ehr eyes bright.
* Kwa`ani perked when Shukie spoke directy to Shakira realizing what was apaw. As Kova moved she nodded with a happy smile for seeing the fae, her tail thumping.
* Fianna perked as well, her thoughts on Calder fading as she focused on one of her newer friends. She was glad Shakira had chosen to stay, and she k knew the fae would make a good pack ate.
<Ayaka> {Pack mate*}
* Shakira nodded quietly to the words of the gathered, listening intently to the various offerings. When she heard Shukie address her, she was not prepared, having not expected such a question to be ask so suddenly, she paused to think through the only answer she could manage. “Since the very first meeting I sat in on here in the territory, I’ve wanted to be a part of this pack, be a part of the unity I’ve seen here and the
* Shakira family that has grown together over the years.” She answered a little breathlessly.
* Kova would look between Shukie and Shakira, her hues began to widen with excitement and the proceedings.
* Shukie nodded to Shakira’s response. “there is much to be learned yet, to which I’ll see to in the coming weeks.” She paused for a bit, “Words are easily spoken. It is in the actions one takes or doesn’t take which is the truth being told.” She gazed to each of the wolves present before looking back to Shakira. “Once a WolfSpirit, always a WolfSpirit. For even should your paws take you
* Shukie elsewhere, we are family.” This is no light step you are taking, it is a life long commitment to pack, to family that have come before and shall come after. Learning of the history of the WolfSpirits as time goes on that you may share it with those who seek to join us in the future.” She paused again, when she continued, “As Beta, and acting Alpha in Atraya’s absense, I welcome
* Shukie you was Shakira, Wolfspirit. You may introduce yourself as such to any you meet.” She let the words sink in before giving a howl of welcome to the newest member.
* Fianna would feel her heart swell for another member joining their ranks. It hadn’t been too long since she’d become a full member either. She looked forward to hunting and acting alongside her. With that in mind she’d raise her muzzle and offer a welcoming howl well as a stamp of her paw, remembering her papa and brother, it was up to her to add the stamp.
* Kwa`ani yips and howled when Shukie and then Fianna did so, adding her own deeper tones to the chorus, front paws tamp tamping on the earth.
* Kova her hues fell to Shukie and then to Shakira. She couldn’t help but feel her chest swell with pride at the fae and for the fae. She’d been a long time member here already, in her heart, and she’s proven herself time again with her dedication to the pack and to the family she wishes to join. Very deserving indeed!
* Shukie settled and then leaned over to nuzzle Shakira, “welcome to the family, Shakira!” she whispered into the fae’s ear before shifting back. “A little impromtu however it was time and well deserved. We’ll see to getting one of those sheep you’ve found in the very near future, a celebration hunt!” her tail wagging.
* Shakira howled until her throat was sore, the excitement of finally being a member of the pack, a true full blooded member of this pack that had so openly welcomed her so long ago and still welcomed her now, was almost overwhelming. She nuzzled into Shukie in a true embrace, every emotion she couldn’t find words for pushed into that one action. “Thank you, Shukie. I swear, until my very last breath, until my heart ceases
* Shakira to beat, I will not let you or the Alphas down. I hope to be the best I can be for the pack.” She said quietly, her voice thick with emotion. She nuzzled each of the other wolves in turn before they departed for the night, grateful for their presence and for their various notes of congratulations.
* Kova swung her tail quickly behind her and she would add her voice to her families, howling happily for the new member among their fold! What a joyous time to be alive, and the addition would do them well! “Congrats, Shakira! Welcome to the pack!” she couldn’t be happier and she was so excited to have Shakira among them.
* Shukie smiled softly not having expected the show of affection, tail wagging. “As long as you continue as you have, you will show the decision was the correct one.” her eyes shimmered in the moonlight, ivories showing from beneath her dark lips. “glad to have you as family, Shakira.” Nodding to Kova as well, “Soon, a celebration hunt!”

Pack Meeting Begins

OOC

<Atraya> Well I’d like to formally start the ‘meeting’
<Atraya> Atraya isn’t in the clearing IC 😛
<Atraya> But thank you to everyone for being here! 😀
<Atraya> It was nice to see some old faces, including WolfMoon!
<Ayaka> :}
* Ayaka settles in
<Atraya> 🙂
<Atraya> Updating the website 😛
* Faolan missed the old faces
<Atraya> Kinta posted something on our FB as well 🙂 which was nice
<Atraya> I haven’t seen her in a while, but glad she’s doing well
<Atraya>   I just want to thank you all for being here and continuing on this awesome legacy we have 🙂 There’s not a lot of places that can say they’ve been around as long as we have (and have those who’ve been here just as long stay around!) and I truly am humbled by everyone’s dedication and heart to be here!

Pack Meeting Begins

In Character – #WolfSpirits

* Kova the winds continued to offer what they would to her and to whom it would. The flowers in some areas where blooming while other places still waited for the lush grasses and warmer air to touch them before they sprouted. For now she remained in the clearing, her tail waving slowly behind her as she would wait eagerly to see who would show. She knew this day was a special one.
* Shakira would be seated still a short ways away from Kova, pawing at the soft, newly exposed earth as the group seemed to fall into a comfortable silence, just happy to have others near again. It was always somewhat unnerving when the wolves of the pack disappeared on their own personal quests, leaving few left to roam the territory, but it was always a relief when they returned.
* Ayaka had slaked her thirst, the taint of Fenrir bitter in her maw until she’d drunk her fill a second time. She may beside the small creek she’d been able to find, the stench of battle still in her nostrils despite the days… Perhaps weeks and years? Gone by. Time meant little to her for some reason, how long had it been? The memories she’d spent the last days sifting through, though they belonged to her, we’re
* Ayaka estranged and 2D. Her nose quivered as she sought any information about the others who HD fought… Perhaps died, in the battle she’d seen so little of. Her sides were gaunt but her eyes remained sharp despite her weakened state. Dust coated her white frame for she’d had little inclination to clean it, causing the once white pelt to be a greyish snooty hue.
* Kova seeing Shakira off in the distance, she would rise to all fours and slowly make her way towards her with a wave of her tail. There would be another chuff so as not to startle her.
* Fianna would remain in the clearing as well, the day seeming a special one despite her not being around for all the years that wolfspirits had. She would be near the northern banks of the stream within the clearing, curled a bit as she rested.
* Atraya little did Ayaka know that she was on her way to her. Slowly but surely, she was on her way. On her way to hope. to follow that small flicker against the darkness that dare to swallow her again. Her paws would splay a little before her, if only to reassure her footing. Was she even close?
<Faolan> A trio for a trio was not all the scales demanded. Although the last of its trio was defeated, the younglings had taken root and the earth once again suffered the burden of those who fought, bled, and died for the Morrigan. What was a day in Tír na nÓg to a mortal? Well ‎Oisín never knew the counting of days until at last the mortal realm once more kissed his feet and the youth of that timeless age was stolen from him. Beyond the circle of dead wolves loyal to Morrigan, the Tellers’ pack was mourning their own and putting to rest those whose stories and storytelling had come to the last margin of the last page…One of the twins, the large male that had first greeted Ayaka and Kovo, and a few of the younglings had been part of the toll to replace a trio
<Faolan> with a trio…If Ayaka looked further than the dust of marrow and splintered bone–all that now remained of the Morrigan– she would see Rook among a trio of a bear, a great elk, and an old stone-hued wolf.
* Shukie and Kwa`ani had spent the day hunting the small varmits of the area slacking their hunger at least some. She always hated the time of year where snow turned to slush and muck that made hunting horrendous at best. THey’d returned to the boulder cave, once again extricating the painted feather having understood this to be the token speak with the wisened one. Glancing to her
* Shukie companion, “Hopefully, the one will be here tonight and willing to talk” leaning over to nose the fae gently.
* Kajika would finally make it to the edge of the Clearing, his pelt still wet from crossing the first stream. He wasn’t sure if he had passed anyone on his way here, but he was immediately met with several scents that told him that several others were in or at the very least around the area. He lifted up his head to see if he could pick up one of the closest scents to him but he hardly
* Kajika would even need to do so. Coming in from the direction of the Sweet Valley, would he see Fianna tucked under a tree resting? Well, if he did see her frame, he would see the rise and fall of her russet colored fur and noted that she was sleeping and wouldn’t disturb her. He moved on however to see the shape of several others just within the Clearing, first looking like he might come across Kova and Shakira and his head gave a small jerk as he chuffed over to them with a wag of his tail and his next steps over the grass were spurred to a light run.
<Nyctea> The cavern would be left just as it was when Shukie and Kwa`ani came upon it. Would they venture inside after their little hunt?
* Ayaka would view the evidence of grief and death in the down turned visages of the storytellers pack as they mourned and laid to rest their own. She saw, and felt little but perhaps the burden on her chest and within her heart digging ever deeper. More loss, more darkness, and for what? A shifting of paths. Hope was a strange thing though, and despite all it remained a kindled ember, for who knew where this path led?
* Ayaka She had chosen it as best she could. Rising, she moved toward the strange grouping of Bear, Elk, Alpha, and alphas son. Her paws heavy but quiet as she tred toward them. Sound had escaped her and she’d not found reason to speak since the Morrigan fell, and so she’d approach quietly, watching.
* Atraya paw pads would continue to lightly pat the earth as the smells from all around her started to whisper in quietness to her otherwise dark world. It was loud in many ways. One paw, another paw, and continue on she would as she hoped she was going in the right direction. Whom or what would she smell? Her path took her directly East as she was instructed, and east she’d go until something presented itself.
* Kova when Kajika finally came into sight she would offer a gentle chuff to him and a wave of her tail. She would nose Shakira, inviting her to join in if she so desired to, but she aimed to close the distance between herself and the caretaker. When that distance was closed her silvery pelt brushed along his own likeness and she smiled “Kajika! Hello.” her tones light and airy in greeting. He might take note of Rune’s scent on her, the fae had come to visit!
* Shakira ‘s ears perked to the sound of Kovas chuff, rising to her paws as well just as another chuff came from seemingly the opposite direction, turning now to find the male she had met briefly on a few occasions. “Hello Kova, and hello Kajika, is it?” She asked to ensure pronunciation was correct.
* Shukie nodded to Kwa`ani to pick up the feather by the quill end taking care not to disturb the feather itself then she led the way within the darkened cave. In a mere whisper, “Since nothing came out, we go in, but cautiously” she didn’t voice it yet worried to her bones this was a trap. As her eyes adjusted more to the darkness of the cave, her paws slow but steady the pair would make
* Shukie their way within the enclosure. Once fully within the confines she offered up a greeting in humbled tones as the pair walked forth, “We seek the wise one.” Her posture showed confidence but nothing more could be discerned.
* Fianna would shift little should Kajika move by, glancing at her along the way for she had indeed fallen asleep. She’d slept little the past few days, and the stress was taking its toll. A little sleep and she’d be right as rain again no doubt, though her heart wouldn’t feel whole again until her family returned.
* Kwa`ani moved with a slow yet graceful ease, paws silent aside from disturbing small pebbles now and then. Her head was held, the feather extending from her maw, clamped between her front teeth, lips up in avoiding them drooling on the feather. It was in part her head was high to keep any mouth juice escaping onto the token as well as knowing she was a WolfSpirit.
<Nyctea> The further Shukie and Kwa`ani moved into the darkness of the boulders there would be a sense of the same feeling Fianna had felt when she ventured in. A calmness. A serene feeling. An odd sense of ….comfort? The wind wouldn’t even touch the air in here, but it smelt fresh. It smelt of smudges Shukie might recall from a memory not of her own, but that touched be a memory she shared long ago on another quest. The boulders were deceivingly deeper than the outside claimed to be. Glow worms would be tethered along the walls, providing illumination, but nearly as blinding as whatever caused the light to flicker just ahead. It was like walking into a harth with a warm flame.
* Kajika showed just as much eagerness in greeting Kova as she padded over to him and greeted her similarly when her nose went to brush along his. “It has been a while, and longer than I had intended with nothing to show for it,” he said but his tone wasn’t one of despair since he had returned. He was quick to pick up the scent of Rune on her pelt and his tail gave another happy wag as he also greeted Shakira with a small dip of his head. “Yes, you are correct. It is good to see you again as well.” He then turned to Kova as he looked about the Clearing to see who else might be around that he hadn’t yet pinpointed even as he spoke. “Say, do you know if anyone is still back at the Ruins? The snow surely should have melted by now granting safe passage to those who were waiting for the opportunity to return.” There was a little bit of concern edged in his voice, but he did a good job to conceal it for the most part. Seeing or at least scenting so many around the Clearing was enough to keep any worry he would have at bay.

<Faolan> Day had remained as still as the wind, which did little to carry sound beyond the fray of conversation. That said, the relative silence between would be pierced by a howl for every loss–six in total or a full quarter of the Teller’s pack. Phoenix and his pack would be engrossed in the process of grief. Ayaka’s chosen path took her closer to the crown of the knoll, the hill upon which passage into the yonder valley was thwarted. She would see them conversing, but sound was fleetingly similar to the crunching of undergrowth and a haggered breath that hounded steps that were not hers. Surely, she was not tired after all that rest? Nae, of course not but the one whose ears she listened through was. After a time that would be replaced by the low timbre of Faolan’s voice …is a day between. You know you cannot cross and find yourself in the world you left on the other side. Rook, took the answer upon shoulders that seemed to buckle at the weight. His head turned to the ground but lifted after a time, As do you…You can’t just go… A gentle nose would ruffle the crown of the black wolf’s head. It is not something I -just- do.

* Kova would offer yet another fleeting nuzzle to his nose and scruff. Even brushing her shoulder into his for good measure before she would restrain her otherwise taught emotions and look to the mountains now, Kajika’s question causing her a moment of pause to think before responding in kind “No sign of Shukie or Kwa`ani…. ” there was a worried tone within, but, soft it was and eager to see them bleed through. “I am sure they are on their way and the reason for the delay is…well with great reason.” her hues returned to Kajika.
* Atraya when nothing presented itself in the form of answers or even hope, she paused her careful strides. Perhaps that very darkness started to flicker against her sight like the passing of sun to night. The terrain would only have changed slightly and that was moving from the territory, through the hollow of stone and mud, to the other side where the winters melt had just begun. She moved on for at least a day but no more. She could manage no further. She’d found herself tripping on obstacles more frequently in a land not of her and by now, she had stopped herself. Proceed? Or not. She told Fianna and Kova she would return soon, and soon has already passed. She knew the way back home now which would no doubt cause her an easy spurr home, but did she. Her black nose pulled up to scent the air for anything of familiarity. The vision she saw might very well have been an illusion of an old mind. Perhaps hope urged her to quickly but she had to at least try. She would linger around long enough to see if something presented itself, otherwise, her path would lead her back home knowing full well the importance of the day.
* Ayaka would pause for each howl, giving each a moment of respect for each life was due at least that much, despite her never meeting most of them, that is, should she hear the howls as they came. Did she hear with her own ears as well as the ears of another? Aya would flick an ear at the sound of ragged breathing and crunching earth, sparing a single glance around her again as she neared the conversation taking place ahead, rising up the hill to intercept the last of Faolan and Rook’s words. She stopped a respectful distance, a few body lengths, away and her gaze came to rest on Faolan, her head dipping low before rising once again, a habit her frame took without thought, the scent of her alpha a distant memory now. Still, words eluded her, for what could she say after all? Greetings were not for an occasion such as this.
* skydancer_ eventually the path she is following leads her to the Clearings edge causing her to pause and scan the open field nose twitching as she takes in what scents the might be before moving out into the open
<Atraya> Skydancer would make note of several in the clearing. Kajika, Shakira and Kova where just at the edge facing south from the direction of the great sweet valley.
* Fianna slept to the north of the clearing, the stream a gentle and known lullaby
<Faolan> Hear with another’s ears, see with another’s eyes, feel with another’s heart…The sensations would be few between, but not far enough to allow her to lay claim upon a reality that had long since been in great foment. She would feel the despair of another, the pang of guilt and sorrow for a coming departure, and perhaps her own mixture of thoughts and emotions that lay just above the
<Faolan> cut»»
<Faolan> cont»» simmering anger and thirst of the underlying ichor..the stain of Fenrir. Not -just- and not while you have a lesson to learn. The older wolf could see his son’s mind already conspiring of the lessons to protract the coming day, but his thoughts were not his own private escape. Ayaka’s approach offered him a similar escape, one where he could speak his thoughts. The second is here at last and the third is very nearly beyond the veil’s edge. Although we are not in the timeless land, its foothills sit in the wake of its passage. We must go and make our peace where it can be made for it will not be long until one must return here and see to its the collective safekeeping of us all.
* Shukie continued forth, some of her trepidation easing, things of old and ancient teased her mind, grasping for the threads before they could unravel and bring them forth. Their path seemed to never end, the odd flickering lights. The lights of the bugs butts flickered, dimming and brightening as they passed, growing more numberous as they progressed. Faint at first, scents of sage,
* Shukie not fresh and green but burnt reached her nose, a strangely peaceful scent at that. The light in the distance beconed the pair forth, unable to turn away.
* Kwa`ani nearly dropped the feather a dozen times for the eerie glow along the walls until such time she realized it was similar to the caves of the ruins. The scent was one she knew not yet it brought an ease to her and didn’t understand why a ‘weed’ would do such. puff puff puff. The glowing walls were soon forgotten as the light in front of them seemed to pull her forward. Speaking wasn’t
* Kwa`ani gonna happen with the feather, instead..she brushed her hsoulder against the beta’s. That alone reassured her for she had every faith in the fae.
<Nyctea> Once the pair of fae’s began to move further into the boulders they would feel the walls go from slender and tight, to expanding and open until they were finally within the open gap of a small stronghold of sorts. Twisted and gnarled limbs of branches lay upon the ground, but the roots of tree’s above would be twisted and contorted to make intricate, yet creepy details to this other worldly place. It was not from another world, no, it was a home. Bones would be discarded in the form of small pellets. The sound of creaking wood against one another, like a staggering itch, would resound to the pair. Nothing broke that silence until a loud and deep voice culled from the ancients themselves called out. ~~~ Who dares disturb the darkness…~~~
* Shukie took care to step over or around the roots, easliy seen from the glow worms and light again. At the sound of the voice her steps stopped their whispered steps. She didn’t yet spot the speaker, tones sounding older than the earth. “It is I, Shukie, Beta of WolfSpirits, daughter of Nahala, desendent of Shuku and the shaman WolfDreamer.” she did not speak for Kwa`ani whom she motioned
* Shukie forth to present the feather, painted with a wolf’s head below a dreamcatcher and bloodied pawprint near the tip. When Kwa`ani presented the feather she spoke once more. The white raven brought this to us as a talk token and directed us to continue upon the path we were on and seek the wise one.” She dipped her head low as she dipped a paw to the great owl before them. She wondered
* Shukie the name of the great owl.
* skydancer_ as she makes her way across the Clearing she slowly starts veering north before deciding that she might as well check the stream bordering the north side of the Clearing. decision made her path straightens and her stride lengthens just a trifle as she heads north soon detecting fresh wolf scents on the wind though remains silent in case they are sleeping
* Kwa`ani took a step forward presenting the feather, gingerly setting it before the great owl with ghostly eyes. Sight.. maybe not yet she knew this bird didn’t need sight if it lacked it to seeing into their souls. “I am Kwa`ani, daughter of Atraya and Faolan, WolfSpirit packmember.” She too would dip gracefully before the owl in a deep sign of respect. For once, no antics were displayed
* Kwa`ani sensing the »»
<Kwa`ani> »» situation was not one to horse around as she normally would. After her introduction she stepped back beside Shukie.
* Ayaka could feel the great bitter stain of Fenrir deep within, and wouldn’t hve been surprised if it colored her pelt as well, that is if surprise didn’t feel as if it belonged to another. She nodded at Faolan, her gaze skimming Rook as well. They waited for the last of their trio, and from a time before, when Atraya had shared her own senses she knew whom they waited for. She settled slowly onto her haunches ND glanced
* Ayaka at the great bear, remembering from a distance their fight with a great bear. Then she viewed the great elk, a stag.. Hadn’t she fought one of those as well? Again, the memories were not her own, as they came from a book that held things she only could hope to belong to. “I am ready to make what peace can be made.” She finally tried to say through a throat that seemed to be shards of ash and tasted of smoke.
* Ayaka Before this… She would have felt sorrow to know know that Rook’s passage home may not be as simple as a trot along the path. But now, it simply was.
<Nyctea> Stepping out into the light would reveal a great horned owl who’s age was anyone’s guess. When Shukie announced herself before the feather was even presented he would scoff a little under his breath. Perhaps amusement? ~~ Words words words…… so fancy…. so long….. is a long name really important?~~ the sound of breaking branches would resound against the large owls being, daring to break under it’s massive weight. He leered down when Kwa`ani stepped forward however and when the feather was presented, he ruffled his wings in a few circles before tucking them closer in. ~~ I see. So he did find you after all…. good…. So… you are who you say you are? mmmm???~~ he leaned in with a laaaaazzzyyy eyeeeeee and stared right at Kwa`ani ~~ Are you all those long words too?? mmmm??~~
* Kwa`ani looked up at the ruffling of feathers before the owl settled his wings back to his sides. “Aye.” Oh how she wanted to make a quip about the eyeless eyes but managed to hold her tongue. A miricle for which she knew Shukie would be thankful for. Oh heck with it… “Tis how we were taught to introduce ourselves. Proper manners.” Her tones were steady, a smile upon her muzzle as she
* Kwa`ani relaxed »»
<Kwa`ani> »» visibly. “Do you have a name?” her head tilting slightly to the left, thinking it only proper for the bird to do so as well.
* Shukie didn’t respond to the censor of name. SHe was asked a question and she answered. When the great owl spoke to Kwa`ani and not herself she remained still, strangely calm and at ease. For a short time she thought Kwa`ani was going to leave it at the simple answer, to which she let out a tiny sigh that stopped as soon as it started when the fae continued, almost challenging the bird.
<Nyctea> He continued to lean in all the while his brow feathers, what little he had left, would dance left and right against the weightlessness of air. When Kwa`ani introduced herself, or lack thereof, he simply drew his wings back again then settled against the branch. The light that illuminated this place would be unnatural but familiar. Dangerously familiar. Flames in small shells flickered along  the walls, casting light and warmth throughout the small cavern. ~~ Your sister offered much the same, but manners and a name go hand in hand. One introduction, for my own. ~~ he’d sit and wait all night if he had to. No name was given just yet. His eye still on the feather. But wait, maybe he was an old coot. He chuckled against the light as it flickered along his frame, revealing his earthly tones. He straightened himself just so before offering ~~ My name is Nyctea… wise to the ancient lore of things. You where brought here for a reason. A story to share for the both of you. ~~ he would scoot along the branch, bouncing up and down as the weight of his body caused it to cry out in twirking splintering wood against the large owl until he settled into the middle, where it sighed in releif and settled. Bits of debris fell from those branches and gnarled roots. ~~ Come… I have a box for you to open. You have the key, don’t you? ~~
* Shakira sat quietly again, listening curiously to the conversation of the others who remained in the north, her own nerves packed down for now for the sake of the pack that had returned, not wanting to cause more worry between family. She’d simply listen quietly, noting the information given and only offer words when asked to.
<Faolan> The great bear and stag would have separated themselves from the wolves, appearing to have little else to offer if having offered anything at all. Although their silence made them seem like fixtures, it was clear theirs was a story to be told in time. Rook would turn to watch Ayaka as she answered, sure that she answered too quickly for one who knew the gravity of the choices behind her. He would pad closer to her, sorrow overcoming the resolve of his own choices at long last. There’s no going back for you and no coming back for me. You feel it now…you’ve become something I am not, and this place has forgotten the face of a mortal like me…Though you are older now the glow of your ember is forever brighter than mine shall ever be. He would search her hues for understanding to the flowery verbiage he chose to mask the blunt reality she now faced.
* Kwa`ani stared up at the owl when Nyctea mentoned her sister… ‘Fianna?!?’ she’d said at nearly the same time as Shukie. Oh how she missed her sister and brother. “to what tales will you tell us, ancient one.” Her eyes eager as her ears twitched back and forth, tail wagging just a bit when Nyctea settled upon the branch wondering how it managed to not break off.
* Shukie dipped her head to Nyctea. Aye, she had the key, it was within the pouch upon Kwa`ani’s back. When they found the pouch at the hole under the mystical lake tree, she’d tucked it within rather than carrying it in her maw as she had been doing. “Yes, the key is with us.” Turning to Kwa`ani she had the fae slip the pouch off to where she could withdraw the key. Once the task was
* Shukie done, “Fianna was here?” she’d not picked up the fae’s scent,. odd she thought. SHe was visibly relieved to know the box was at last to be found. SHe’d not wanted to fail in her and Kwa`ani’s task.
* Ayaka had answered only as quickly as one who knew what she had chosen, exchanging life for existence, self for selflessness, and mortality for… Well. Perhaps she didn’t truly yet understand what it meant to be no longer mortal. Her gaze rested on Rook, distant, but kit quite cold. Something about her gaze was still her own for she could still see the memories of who she had been, even if she could not take hold of them. That, if only that, would keep her different from the one she’d taken the place of.  As Rook himself had told the Morrigan during her battle against the shadow, she would be better. Turning to look west, Ayaka stood still as she waited for the last to come. What did she feel? Could she still feel? Did she mourn the loss of those she’d identified as once being family? Maybe in a layer of herself within she could no longer reach.
* Atraya The winds would offer the northern chill, but ahead was the warmer taste of an early spring in these lands. The ground beneath her would crunch still with the culling of snow. Spring had yet to touch this place, but the promise of what culled her forward would do just that. Paws continued to blindly tap ahead of her, following that sweet smell and the fading of snow, giving way to the new flora and fauna of a spring’s day. She’d press forward towards that ember, flickering in the distance of a dark world.
* Kajika seemed to be lost in thought for a moment as he thought about it a little more and possibly something else as he glanced up at the sky to see what of the stars and night sky that started to grow across the sky. “That maybe so and I will be on the lookout for their return.” His attention returned to Kova after he spoke and he was able to fully glance her over once more. “Are the two of you alright? The stores of my herb collection are a little bit lower than they should be, but in part I am giving most of the vegetation here a chance to grow and flourish again after my incessant picking with little need for them which would cause them to wither and be of use to no one.”
<Nyctea> The box that was before them was covered in a wealth of dust and age. Barely visible to be anything more than a trinket of age and time. However there would be a familiar scent upon the base of this box. Perhaps the only thing that would be familiar. The two would know this owner’s scent and the name to go with it. Calder. Giving them long enough to investigate the box and produce the key, he »»
<Nyctea> »» flapped his wings quickly yet quietly, and landed with great ease onto the box itself. He looked like a lumbering ol’ owl, but he was quite graceful. Beautiful even. When he landed upon the top of the box he leaned in and with his deep voice he whispered to the fae’s something ….. Interesting.
* Kova gave a slow nod of her head to Kajika as he would inquire to her wellbeing. She was a little sore from the hunt with Fianna and the Ox, she did wonder now where the fae was? before turning to Shakira “I am well. Healing from the hunt a few days ago. Speaking of, you two are welcome to my cache if you are hungry.” she swung her tail slowly behind her and pointed her nose to the alpha’s »»
<Kova> »» rock. Beneath it’s base, to the left of the large stone, would be clearly unearthed soil. Buried below would be a nice leg bone with a good chunk of meat on it. She ensured it was placed in the shade and shadows to avoid heat, she tried her best to keep it as cool as possible.
* Kwa`ani lowered her upper torso and shimmied the pouch off her back and neck to give Shukie the necessary access, her gaze upon the musty smelling box. Gods! They could return home at long last. They had traveled just about every mountain there was in search of it. At the whispering, she went still, soothed and comforted from the tones not necessarily comprehending all in that brief moment.
* Kwa`ani An »»
<Kwa`ani> »» ageless voice it was, unlike anything she’d ever heard or even dreamt. Her ears twitched back and forth becoming mesmerized.
* Shukie at last would set the key before Nyctea. As she leaned down to do so the boid had settled upon the old relic of a box, nothing significant able to be discerned beneath the accumulated dust and grime? of centuries perhaps or maybe a few years or decades. As Nyctea whispered to them, she froze in place as she listened, at last stepping back. Now was not the time for words, but to
* Shukie hear what words would be offered them of the box’s origins.
<Faolan> It is quite simple, son. We took the mantle that was offered. Ayaka saw the first pages of a story she will learn in time. Faolan remained behind a padfall or two, having paused in stride as if one recalling a fond yet faint memory. –Very nearly here, just a minute more ahead and a left when you feel the first gravel beneath you, he thought…– Perhaps guilt or perhaps the correct
<Faolan> cut»»
<Faolan> cont»» assumption led Rook to watch Ayaka’s features a moment longer, That Morrigan demanded strife and blood in exchange for malevolence. You…you can be much more. The beast you fought was a reflection of the worst of us. I fancy your story to be the reflection of the best of us should the collector tell the last of what he’ll see of this tale.
* Shakira turned her attention back as a general question was asked, waiting for Kovas answer before speaking her own. “I have no recent injuries, faded scars is all and bruising that should be well healed now.” She answered with a small smile, proud of her own growth when it came to speaking to the males of the pack, though she still kept boundaries.
<Nyctea> The sound of his talons would scrap across the boxes surface, but he did well to place his weight so as not to scratch the delicate wood. Scratch it… he did not. When the words where offered to the two fae’s he would take one more leap up and land just beside the box and key. He waited for a moment longer, allowing his words sink into both. They where heavy…. and for good reason. ~~ Are you ready to see an eye for an eye? ~~ he finally asked the pair.
* Atraya her ears would swivel with great care as she picked up on the slightest tinge of movement or sounds that lay around or ahead of her. Nothing but perhaps the call of the wilds, even a bird, to guide her way. Inner monologues or not, there was that familiar ping of darkness that tried to creep it’s way back into the forefront of her thoughts. To try and take her over again. No. Not yet. She had to make sure. The earth beneath her paw pads would continue to crunch with the impacted, old snow, until there was the sensation of something different beneath her paw pads. It wasn’t grass but it felt like the well semi-sorted gravel of a rivers bed. Her nose dipped down to scent the new ground beneath her and like reliving a memory, she would feel the need to turn left. Left she would go.
* Shukie blanched, inwardly hoping it didn’t show outward at the words used which sent her thought to Atraya in the millisecond. SHe didn’t mince words, “If my sight given that Atraya may once again see, yes. For the safety of my family, yes. For the return of our alpha male and son, yes.” As she spoke she looked directly into the fathomless white orbs. “What must be done, I shall do.”
* Kwa`ani looked to Nyctea. “What ya want us to be a doing?” short, sweet and to the point. She wasn’t much to agreeing before knowing the stakes but this time was ready.
<Nyctea> He swung his head around this way and that before giving a simple nod to their questions, to their response, and picked up the key in his beak. He was an owl after all and being able to articulate a key into a lock, and unlock a box, was something he was keenly equipped to do. With a few twists of his head left, right, left left, then right the box would clunk and sigh with relief as it was opened. A small accumulation of dust spattered out before subsiding at the base of their paws. ~~ Take the trinkets inside. There is one thing belonging to a she-wolf by the name of Kastria. What it’s purpose or meaning is, I do not know but I was told to ensure it find it’s owner. The rest of the trinkets you must take to the ancient forest, where Fianna had smelled the sage. There questions will be answered and peace can be had. Now go…. get home… there is much to do, and you are sourly missed.~~
* Ayaka was still in the adjustment stage of her first pages in the new story she’d begun, and she quietly marveled that Faolan, who perhaps had undergone something similar to what she had, could still speak and interact with Rook as if he were… Family. The word tasted odd in her mind, like a cutout that didn’t quite fit back in its place. So, she’d remain quiet now, listening first to..Faolan’s words to alert their
* Ayaka direction, then his words to Rook, and finally Rooks own words to her. She knew she should respond, yet the hope the words would likely have illicited in her old self, merely stirred the dust of hope in who she was now. Yes, she would be better because of who she had been, because of the family and pack ties that had enhanced who she was. But she didn’t know what would come of the storytellers final tales. “I
* Ayaka thank you Rook.” She finally said, softly.”For doing what needed done, for making hard choices, for your family, for the Wolfspirits. They will likely never truly know what you have been through yourself, and I hope that at least some glimpse of your own part in that reflection of the best a wolf can be the storyteller will share, will be revealed to them.”
* Shukie nodded, glad for the pouch for she would carefully put all within the pouch, Kwa`ani’s ever present new collar. “Yes, Ancient One.” She repeated the name several times to ensure she didn’t forget it. “I shall see to this as per your instructions.” SHe was most glad to obey the last of the list for she missed one and all and longed to see her old home again. It seemed an eternity
* Shukie since seh’d last been there. “I worry for all my family’s wellbeing.” She dipped her head in respect tho would give Nyctea time to say anything more before they would depart.
<Nyctea> He would give a few claps of his beak before taking flight and landing back on the gnarled branches and roots. The flames would flicker against the sudden gust of wind, but held their own flame. When he landed they groaned and cracked under his weight, but bare it they did. He would tuck his wings back in and say to them ~~I had to find it from a traveling whisper. Found it, I did. now into the paws it rightfully belongs…. ~~
* Shukie would nod once more and make her way from the cave within the boulders after adjusting the pouch back upon Kwa`ani’s back. “Come, Kwa`ani, we can go home at long last!” to Nyctea, “Thank you.” The first few steps she back out and away then turned to begin the trek home.
<Nyctea> There would be a subtle nod of his head and watched the pair as they departed. They where on the borders of their northern most part of the territory. The Roghas insight, they where not even a few miles out from home now.
* Kwa`ani patiently waited for the pouch being adjusted and then would depart as Shukie had. “Indeed, Thank yhou.” She too took her leave in short order ready to be home.

Pack Meeting Begins

* Atraya would be within the confines of the pack’s clearing. She had a full stomach from the night prior on gorging on the fresh caribou. She ahd been upon the alpha’s rock and looking east now before rising her head up and howling for a gathering to those there to hear it.
* Kova had been within the clearing as well, resting from the nice meal she’s devoured sense the take down. She flicked an ear, however, hearing the sound and call of a howl and it was there she pressed her paws into the earth and rose. SHaking the fatigue from her visage she would walk to meet her alpha and anyone else.
<Atraya> Shukie and Kwa`ani would find the fox to be gone for now. No sign of it save for the tree they where left at.
* Fianna lifts her head from off her paws where she had been resting, perking toward the clearing some distance away. We’re those her mother’s tones? She rose and shook her pelt. For though the voice was distant she would check in all the same. Moving at a quick lope, she offered a silent goodbye to her dream at her skull staff and headed off. She would lift her own voice in a responding how to signal her coming from off
* Fianna in the distance.
* Everlain was interrupted by the sound of a howl, was someone in need of aid? Without thinking she sent up an inquisitive sound holding position to find out if aid was required. She was still intent on moving the Caribou if Shakira wanted her to, unaware of what was going on.
* Shakira paused in her step, turning a doubtful eye on the still fairly large amount of caribou, knowing that the two of them wouldn’t be able to move the beast alone especially in her condition. After coming to that conclusion, she turned her attention to Everlain once more. “Better to leave it here, we can let those we meet up with know it is here.” Just as she said this, a howl rang out from the west, easily
* Shakira recognizable as the Alpha. A gathering howl from the Alpha was not one to ignore and so she quickly turned and set off as fast as she could manage towards the Clearing, looking over her shoulder to ensure Everlain was following. “Come, the Alpha calls. We must go to her.” She said with a sense of urgency, offering a howl of her own to join Everlains.
* Shukie gently groomed her partner, who’d in many ways had come to feel like her own daughter had she any pups. “Come, my dear, let’s get off this ice shelf before we find ourselves at the bottom of a ravine impaled by ice upon it’s floor. With a tender lick to the fae’s muzzle and a playful nip to the eartip the two began to good time retracing their steps and would pause at the sun
* Shukie side of the lake where the sun makes the water appear like liquid gold and amber. In her mind it was a lake of fire, molten lava but touching a paw to the edge it was as cold as ice. “If we don’t run into problems, likely we should make it back in about 2 weeks, maybe 3.” Lowering her head she drank deeping of the firewater. Food was on the adjenda, first on the list once they
* Shukie were past the knife field.
* Everlain hurried alongside Shakira to the clearing wondering why the Alpha needed to call. It was odd to her but she went with it deciding not to ask. She just followed Shakira in silence back towards the clearing matching her pace.
* Fianna would be nearly back by now and with a last push through barren trees she would be at the edge of the clearing and loping within, casting her nose about for the scent of any others, especially that of Atraya. Once within the clearing she slowed to a trot and headed for the alpha stone.
* Atraya would look ‘ahead’ of her as she listened to the winds and to those scents that started to gather around her. She would dip her head ever so lightly before offering in kind “Thank you to those who’ve heeded the call” she started in lightened tones.
* Kova had found herself a spot beside Fianna as she dipped her head to those who appeared. She would settle on her haunches and looked now to Atraya.
* Shakira would lift her voice once more as they broke through the eastern treeline into the Clearing, spotting the small gathering near the Alpha Rock, she would move as swiftly as possible with her injury to join the wolves gathered, still keeping an ear turned to be sure Everlain was still following.
<Shukie> <<>>Observes via the ether<<>>
* Kajika heard the sound of the howl although he might have been the last one to hear it with the distance and the numer of trees that still stood between him and the Clearing, but unmistakable as it was, it was a howl coming from the Clearing and he knew it would be the howl of Atraya as a means of gathering any and all within earshot. Even if he paused when he identified it, he would
* Kajika hurry on »»
<Kajika> »» hastened paws to rush on ahead, snow kicking up in his wake as he circled his path around the Ancient Forest but for timing’s sake he didn’t leave too much of a space between him and the more dense trees at its outer edges. «end
* Everlain and Shakira entered the clearing together though there was only a moment delay between the two wolves. She still had yet to notice Kajika though very soon his scent may have reached them soon however faintly. The female stood alert by Shakira as she joined the very small gathering.
* Atraya weird indeed. They where without their Beta, Delta, and Faolan was still missing. Regardless the pack would thrive on through the woven stories of each and soon, she hoped, those threads would weave again together as a whole. A long breath escaped her before she continued. “Before I continue… I would like to ask that those who desire to join the ranks of WolfSpirits, please say so now.”
* Shukie had let kwa go into the hole for she was small enough to scrootch into the small space. The fae had been gone for a fair amount of time and had reported there was nothing in there but an old hide that was laid out flat. It was humourous as the fae had to inch her way out backwards, ie, buttski first, well, tail first. Kwa had dragged out the piece of hide that was marked with
* Shukie strange patterns as if something had drawn on it by something. Maybe a map that those stupid two leggers had to use to find their way instead of with their noses. She and Kwa took turns carrying the hide for it was the only thing to be shown for their efforts to find the item.
* Everlain did not feel home here just yet so as an invitation was given she stayed quiet. She was only a spectator tonight. She knew little of these wolves or their ways. She just kept quiet.
* Fianna would shift and glance toward Shakira and Everlain, wondering if the two would step forward but she remained quiet and patient, curious to see where this would go as her gaze swept across Atraya, wondering how her mother fared this eve.
* Shakira offered a short chuff in greeting as they arrived at the Alpha Rock, taking note of all those who were gathered, a small group compared to the various other meetings she had seen with this pack. Before she could seat herself, the Alphas words would be heard, a pep in her step as she moved forward, emitting another small chuff to let the Alpha know where she stood. “Alpha, I would like to Pledge myself once more to
* Shakira the pack.” She said simply, lowering her gaze in respect of the Alpha.
* Atraya an ear turned to the sound of another’s voice reaching from the group to her. She would remain risen to all fours as she would wait for Shakira to approach enough to hear her. “To be a pledge of WolfSpirits is to take the time and dedication to know and be familiar with this pack. You’ve been with us for several months now, through several trials and continued quests and you’ve shown »»
<Atraya> »» great strength to finding us, and to come home with us.” her paws would remain stiffened before her on the stone. “.. if this is your desire Shakira, please state it so.”
* Kwa`ani had mumbled to Shukie more than once that the fox was just a trickster and was leading them on a wild goose chase… goose… yum! her stomach rumbled at the thought of munching one of the devil birds down for they put up a good fight with their beaks and would charge without fear too. “I’m ready to go home.” her tone was slightly pouty, pouty of one being out on their own, despite
* Kwa`ani Shukie »»
<Kwa`ani> »» being with her. “Maybe its a clue to papa and where he is??” she offered up before lowering her head to drink from the lake of fire. “I vote the fox is our next meal if it dares return to continue tricking us.” her nose quivered sniffing for anything scent of food, live or dead. She no longer cared for their path had been in the high, high mountains, and secluded in a bear cave
<Kwa`ani> complete with the »»
<Kwa`ani> »» bear. “I hope mamma made it safely home. do you think she did?” it was a question she asked every few days or so as she felt nothing either way tho at times she sensed her sister, Fianna, had her mind focused upon her to which she often closed her eyes if she could and would just Think! HARD! on her sister trying to send mental telepathy that she was ok.
* Kova her hues fell to Shakira as she approached the rock and offered herself to pledge to the pack. She smiled, waved her tail across the snow beneath her that was melting quickly to make way for the next season. She was fond of the fae – especially after helping track and take down the Caribou. She would also be grateful to Everlain’s contribution as well. Surely they would not have been able to take it down without their help. Fianna’s to!
* Shakira nodded her head once before responding. “Yes Alpha. I want more than anything for WolfSpirits to be my home, I’ve grown to love these lands and the wolves who call them home.” Her own words causing a shudder in her heart as she knew them to be true.
* Kajika saw quite the gathering of wolves that even if he was expecting, his tail still gave a pleasantly visible wag as he made his way over to them. The mixing of scents made him glance around the group as he decided on a spot to listen in on what was said as he joined in, and it seemed as if he had just missed a prompted question before a wolf stepped forward, one he hadn’t quite gotten to know but had seen around several times before now as she voiced her wish to pledge herself to the Pack and begin the path of becoming a member. He circled around the group, choosing a spot close enough to the back where he tried to slip in as inconspicuously as possible but took a few more quieter steps forward so he could hear what was said.
* Fianna would nod with gladness as Shakira stated her wishes to become pack, and she knew the fae would be a welcome addition. The journey would now be a step further along for the fae to becoming pack, and Fianna would lift her head and offer forth a howl of congratulations!
* Atraya when the congratulations were made for Shakira, she swung her tail slowly behind her a few more times before it stilled. “Does anyone else desire to offer their pledge before I continue?” she would allow a moment to pass.
* Kova offered a few chuffs for Shakira! She was happy the fae was joining them once more!
* Everlain continued spectating glad that Shakira found a home that suited her. She hoped one day she could feel secure in a place, but as of yet she definitely felt as if she was still moving from place to place mainly alone. She was trying to fit in but just was unconvinced this was home just yet, though still unprepared to leave. She was meeting some and at least had two specific wolves she knew. She gave a nod as to not make noise as she watched Shakira pledge. She wanted a home eventually herself, that was the goal.
* Fianna flicked an ear as Kajika snuck into the back ranks and turned her gaze to nod toward him for a quick moment, offering a wag of her tail to welcome him. She was glad to see him well for it had been some time.
* Kova an ear turned in the direction of a male she’d not seen in sometime. She grinned and offered a quick wave of her tail in Kajika’s direction, happy to see him! She then turned back to Atraya awaiting the continued meeting.
* Atraya when no others made their desire known she gave a gentle dip of her head. Blind eyes would leer out to the east once more before she continued. “In the coming weeks, February 25th, will be WolfSpirits 18th year anniversary. As usual I hope to have an all day meeting with events. It is still in the plans! (( Pending human isn’t traveling, I hope to be here! )). I will keep you all posted” her tones light and a smile still played well on her face. 18 years was no small number and truly it wouldn’t be one without those there and here to dedicate their time and passion to this pack and family. For that she would be truly grateful.
* Shakira ‘s tail waved quickly behind her at the Alphas words, a wide wolfish grin breaking across her muzzle as she stepped back with the others gathered, glancing to Everlain as she wondered if the she-wolf would also step forward. Her attention would turn back to the Alpha shortly after, not wanting to draw unwanted attention to the newer wolf, she would seat herself near her and give a gentle bump to her shoulder.
* Fianna would wag her tail furiously for a moment at her mother’s words as they reminded her of her own heritage, a proud and long standing ancestry that reached beyond starfall and earth. She lifted her muzzle then.. Feeling suddenly as if Kwa`ani were near. Oh how she wished her sister were home safe. She hoped the fae and Shukie ‘s quest were fruitful at least. And Aya.. And Rook.. Where were they? She shifted, now
* Fianna solemn and watched Atraya.
* Kajika heard the first howl and joined in with his front paws raising up from the snow for a moment to stamp down a solid paw print into the snow. He acknowledge Fianna’s glance with a small wag of his tail and focused his attention on Atraya once more since there would be plenty of time for congrats and catching up on the adventures that they had all been on just after the meeting
* Kajika would end and »»
<Kajika> »» before everyone dispersed.
* Atraya ‘s tail would slow after a brief wave before she proceeded on with the meeting. “OOC: Next.. I would like to announce that I may start scheduling days / times for role play. To try and get others together for specific events and/or role play in general. I know real life can get in the way, so I am hoping to stretch it out across different times / days so the over sea wolves have a chance »»
<Atraya> »» to interact as well. I’m also hoping to shore up this storyline so another can begin. I recognize that most of you have come in mid-story or are in the story but it isn’t going anywhere. I want to continue role playing it out so no others feel neglected or forgotten. It takes some doing on my end and it’s a delicate balancing act of story telling, but know, I am working on something to alleviate »»
<Atraya> »» that.” her hues fell to the horizon quietly “I’ll be posting a poll soon and gather best times/days for everyone so i can try and pick days that work for a majority of you all.”
* Everlain noticed a male wolf sneak in as she hadn’t been completely engrossed and offered a chuff at the conclusion. The female didn’t mind drawing attention as she wanted to meet the pack, the more attention the better. She noted the next meeting quietly definitely wanting to remember it but for now she turned attentions away from the alpha and even Shakira to try and speak with Kajika, whom she had not met, and Fianna
* Everlain whom she briefly met for two hunts and earlier today most likely had caught her momentarily by the Caribou carcass.
* Atraya shifted her paws lightly “Is there anyone who would like to add on that last note?” would wait patiently.
* Fianna would perk at the next bit of news and nodded deeply in though as her mother finished speaking. She stood up and lifted her muzzle, (OOC)”Thank you so much for the storyline you have already been giving, you’ve done a lot of work and it’s been exciting to go through. I look forward to what is next, and I will be on the lookout for any polls on good times to rp!” (IC) She knew how hard her mother worked, how
* Fianna deeply she cared for the pack as a whole, and Fianna looked up to her in those regards. Her mother was stronghearted. They would prevail.
* Atraya gave a smile and a nod “Excellent. I’ll put that together and post on FB as well the website. Speaking of… I’ll be working more on the website. It’s horrendously outdated lol.” shifted her paws before going back IC. “That is mostly what I wanted to discuss for this meeting. In the coming days I’ll be putting together some stories, small tid-bits for the anniversary, etc. Does anyone desire to add anything before I call the meeting to a close?”
* Shakira simply listened quietly to the proceedings, her tail continuing in it’s motion as she thought of the 18 years this pack had remained standing strong, her hopes high for another 18+ to come!
* Kova would smile and nod happily. She would look around to see if anyone else would add anything before she would offer “There is a fresh caribou just caught to the north from here, in the hunting grounds. Please… help yourself!”
* Kajika felt his ears perk at the mentioning of stories and his front paws pranced on the snow while he remained in place as he thought about the story that he had shared what felt like moons ago. It still needed refining and with the time he had, he knew that he would get the chance to do so and make it a perfect one worth sharing for the occasion. And at the announcement that a kill
* Kajika had been »»
<Kajika> »» recently made, his stomach would unintentionally growl just a little and he sniffed. While he would feel a little guilty in partaking in part of the kill that he didn’t help to make, leaving an entire caribou out in the open half consumed would only attract unwanted attention and with a glance around him, he was sure that they were in no shape to fight off any major threats
<Kajika> right now and he »»
<Kajika> »» wouldn’t be either if he only had hares hungry and thin enough to leave their burrows. He shook his head to the overall question, giving in to very little of the thoughts that he had at the open floor that was made as he had nothing to add at the moment.
* Atraya swung her tail and dipped her head towards Kova, grateful before she addressed the others “If no others have anything they desire to add, then, I would like to conclude tonights meeting! Welcome again Shakira!” she would lift a paw and stomp it on the surface of the stone to end the meeting officially.
