The wilds would tremble at the leering eyes of mischief…

and perhaps in some desperate attempt would continue to blanket the world in a white powder.

Just at the mouth at the entrance of WolfSpirits territory from the north in darkness would be a single figure, outlined by darkness and the snow’s bite. His eyes narrowed against the bitter cold as he watched the single figure making it’s way through the opening before disappearing from sight. Shortly after he’d be joined by another.

Calder’s comrade from the previous night would settle just beside and offer in a low, guttered tone “Approved.” his voice hardly manageable by normal ears but Calder gave a understanding nod.

“Good.” the wind would whip about the dark framed male known as Calder. The cold lapped at his frame but didn’t seem to waiver him at all. “I was also successful and it seems as though we’ve drawn attention. At least they are alive.”

At first it was intentional to keep their whereabouts as secretive as possible, but now, they seem intentional on being found for they strafe in and out of view and well tracked. It seems as though they where coming in and out from the north. One male in particular. His scent would be littered all about the wilderness and shrubs. Not a good sign for those who hold a territory to defend. Whatever motives this wolf had, it would be with no care to what was going on around him other than any who tried to hunt his presence. He knew, however, that it wouldn’t go unnoticed for long. He would aim to make sure of it. The north west would hold his trail the freshest and, as it was, he would be moving in from the borders once more and into the WolfSpirits territory.

The winter had taken a good hold on the landscape, parching the tree’s of sunlight for a while now but the day’s grew warmer with the promise of spring but the season was as it was and nature as well the wilds would adhere to it like any other. The dark black wolf with stark yellow hues would leer through the timber pines that he was now familiar with. Like the resounding drums of doom strumming in the background, his paws would make for their intended target and destination. Towards the center of the pack’s place of gathering to which he’s observed for the past week now. Depending if he reaches it this night, it would be a wonder.

The Visitor Finally Appears

March 11th, 2018 – Role Play Log

* Atraya the world would be dark and cold as she remembered it to be. Though physically it felt much as though she haad felt inside sometimes. Especially during this time of the year but something seemed amiss. She couldn’t recall what had happened in the last 24hours but she knew that she was not where she wanted to be or needed to be.

<Calder> The shadow and shade of the forest would be no enemy to this one for he was charcoal and dark earthen in hues alone. Only a few silver streaks of fur would run along the lower portions of his cheeks from the end of his eyes. Amber hues narrowed as she tuff of fur would remain in his mouth and it was there he stopped just at the fringe of the clearing. He could hear the muffled tones of conversation from several wolves. He would make no attempt to really mask his scent now. Oh, no reason to now. It would probably take a proper moment or two before the fae’s would even notice him.
* Ayaka would be in somewhat rapt attention to the conversation, such that the no doubt unwelcome visitor went unnoticed at first, her own silvern hues upon the youngest fae as she ate. After a moment, perhaps as a response to Kova’s own shuffling, she too rose and shook herself, turning to nip at her hind fur and then flicked an ear, glancing around the clearing. She didn’t see anything off, but the stillness which came from
* Ayaka the forest in which Calder crouched, a knowing she had picked up from Shukie, alerted her that person something was amiss, or someone was there. She rose fully then and nudged Kova. If it had been pack, wouldn’t they have announced themselves. She hadn’t caught the scent yet, and didn’t know exactly where the intruder was, yet she seemed alert now, ears up and staring in that direction, curious mostly, for the time
* Ayaka being.
* skydancer supressing the urge the wolfgrin at the youngsters expression she eases her achy right front a little as fianna turns her attention to the meal taking the moment to relax just a bit even though she suspects the reprieve is only temporary. a short time later she is proven correct. letting out a slow breath she settles her frame dow trusting on the fact that four set’s of ears present nothing much will manage to
* skydancer sneak up on the. “it’s the same for eveyone. we Like young things, any young thing at all. ofcourse those of our own kind are best.” she starts taking a moment to reposition the meat so she can eat it and using the oppertunity think.”You’re own kind is better. but it’s best of all if it’s you’re own family. and brutes can’t birth that is soley the territory of us fea. so if a brute wants to have pups he has to
* skydancer convince a fea to want to carry his. this can result in some..”she falls silents nose twitching and her ears pricked.
* Fianna didn’t noticed a gosh darned thing, her mind so caught up in this new idea of … well her own pups. A flutter of nervous excitement running through her. “Result in what sky?” She prompted, clueless as to the reason Sky had fallen silent. “What do the brutes do? Is it fun? Would I like it?” Her eyes were bright now as she was fully engaged in the topic which seemed so amusing to Ayaka
* Kova couldn’t help but stiffle a laugh at sweet, sweet Fianna. She would swing her tail as she too was eager to see just -how- would skydancer answer that but then the twitching of her sister and something on the wind paused all excitement and engaged conversation to alert and tentive. Something was amiss. What? Who. She would promptly rise to all fours and draw her tail high behind her slowly but not in disrespect to the present company. Especially Fianna. Even though the daughter wasn’t a member yet, she still had her own instinct’s to warrent. Her lip began to curl as she would quickly scan the horizon. Hunter eyes would narrow as she would make a dark figure out “There…” her tone was now dangerously dark.
* skydancer flicks one ear back, distractedly. ‘perhaps’ she offers in a distracted tone slwly getting about half way up eyes searching for what she caught only a whiff of. spotting it only a moment orso after kova. ‘I see him’ she replies ‘assuming that is a brute..” she adds trailing off her banner half way raised “stay behind us fianna” she warns in a stern voice getting up the rest of the way and moving in front the
* skydancer younger wolf as if her miniture frame could shield the youngster.
* Ayaka ‘s hackles were up in a blink and she too had her tail at full mast, stepping up next to skydancer to cut the stranger off from the alpha’s injured daughter. She wasn’t up for a fight yet, such a thing could do irreparable damage. She felt her packmates move around her, tensing, the air turning almost palpable, as skydancer warned Fianna. Ayaka kept silent, silver hues narrowed as she too picked out the dark form. She
* Ayaka took a few stiff legged steps forward, emitting a low toned howl, full of implications should the stranger have ill intent.
<Calder> Drums. Hard beaten drums would resound in the background for this creature as he would remain in the wood’s proper but he knew it was only a matter of time before he’d be noticed and that was fine with him. It seemed like there was a nice harim gathered anyway. He had caught wind perhaps of the conversation from his vantage but said nothing and simply and very boldly began to emerge from the forset into view. There would be a wiley smirk across his dark lupin muzzle as he would continue to move forward. Upon the howl he simply paused giving it only that much of an insight before he proceeded with no regard for them just yet. <Calder> (( Upclose: https://www.deviantart.com/exileden/art/The-Strange-One-723367269 ))
* Fianna at skydancer’s tone Fianna at first looked as of she’d been bitten, stepping back and her tail lowering, then, as the pause grew and the tension grew, she seemed to realize something else was afoot, lifting her head to peek between the older fae’s only to catch a glimpse of a dark black brute as he stepped out. She bit back a whimper and stood at her own full height, wincing at her sudden move, tail and hackles raising
* Fianna to mirrow her elders. She remained silent, knowing she had much less experience in this group. A strange thrill ran through her at sight of the male, and she whimpered again, softly.
* Kova hearing Ayaka’s howl she would follow suit with her own tones, a warning and one that held a stark deepness to it. When her howl ended she promptly drew forward, tail high and ears forward as her fur began to prickle. Something was off with this one perhaps? Why so… slinky. Maybe she was able to pick up the males scent in that it was the one she’d been chasing all around the territory. She took yet another step forward before letting loose a low growl of warning to the male.
* skydancer briefly touches her muzzle to ayaka’s shoulder the highest spot she can reach to steady the other a little bit. “WHo are you?” she calls stepping forward still keeping herself between fianna and the stranger. of whom she is pretty sure is planning on causing some sort of trouble she not liking his posture at all she takes one step sideway’s with her hindpaws hackles only half raised and as he comes closer they
* skydancer raise all the way up and she draws both ears forward. only long practice allowing her to keep her tone civilzed at the same time though it would depend on His anwers weather she’d stay that way “and What do you think you’re doing here?” she asks her choice of words no where near as measured as she’d have like but this one is irritating her. simply with the way he Looks.
* Ayaka would branch out just as Kova did. Moving just to the side so the male had to split his attention, rather than remaining a bunched up in one place. She made no hostile advances yet, scanning the treeline for any others she might have missed as she caught his scent as well. As skydancer spoke, she left it at that, waiting to hear if the brute would give answer.
* Fianna didn’t try to move out with the others, knowing she was injured and feeling helpless, she watched the group advance, the hostility ramping up a notch as the brute continued his own advance. She wished papa were here!
<Calder> There would be a small flowing tendril of fur in his mouth, fluttering about with each huff of the wind. It would be a light silery hued tint with white dappled here and there. It was a decently sized chunk that included both the guard hairs as well as the undercoat. His stark yellow / orange eyes that resembled the flames of fire would leer upon the fae’s. When one of them spoke he simply stood there for a moment longer keeping them guessing. When there was enough time that passed he simply lowered his large head and let loose the tuff of fur. It immediately left his jaws and began to tumble like a weed towards the trio of wolves. Bouncing this way and that as it was effortlessly carried until it came to rest upon Fianna’s paws. He rose his head up slowly and gave a simple smile before the usual stoaic nature of his presence resumed once more. Nothing was uttered from his lips save for the graceful tongue lap removing any spare pieces of fur from his frame.
* Kova when her eyes met this dark male, she felt as though a shiver from the earth itself coursed itself throughout her entire body. Her stomach churnned a most unusual way. What was this feeling? Her tension would remain and her eyes driven hard upon the males movements especially but she couldn’t help but feel an anxiousness within her. Her frame began to tingle against Ayaka’s lightly as she started to sway as if to anticipate pacing this male. “Answer us” she said with a low growl. Demanding now. She ensured she was close to Fianna as she saw the piece of fur release from the males mouth and tumble towards them before resting upon Fianna’s own.
* skydancer bares her teeth at the brutes arrogence and takes a one padfall forward, then another a deep growl escaping from between her teeth contemplating how to take him out if it comes to that. “What. Are, you Doing, Here” she repeats conemplating how best to get the sneer off of his features. at the same time she knows she has to be carefull not to display her limp her size alone marks her as ‘easy’ no sense in giving
* skydancer him ore reasons to think he can whatever he wants.
* Fianna looked down as if in slow motion, the fur tumbled to a stop at her paws.. and then.. the scent of it washed over her and she knew. Rage shot through her and her eyes narrowed, her frame tensing. No… mama.. she couldn’t be.. with an anguished howl she shot forward, ignoring the pain in her ribs, her only thought being to get information from the stranger. In a few bounds she was nearing him, fangs bared and her own
* Fianna amber eyes spitting fire. “Where is my mother. What have you ‘done’.” Her tail and head were up, and she held herself as she’d seen Atraya do when she had all the authority in the world. Pain fired down her side, but she ignored it.
* Ayaka had seen no other male act in this way, cocky, sure, knowing. She nearly trembled from the tension, and the the itchiness seemed to spread all over her body. Still, she kept herself. And then the howl from Fianna seemed to tear something from deep inside the young fae, causing Ayaka to look after her in surprise before she spotted the fur, and she slowly began to understand. She bounded, trying to cut off Fianna from
* Ayaka the male, yet she had moved too slowly. She only could back her up, fangs bared and hackles at full alert.
<Kajika> It was well into the afternoon and Kajika could feel it through the changing light through the clouds overhead. The scent of the beaver was fading and by now it would have returned to its home in a lodge nearby. The gouges in the nearby trees would remain, but they would be there for another day. Oh well, he snoozed so he certainly wasn’t winning this one. Or however the phrase went. Just waking up after another particularly long nap on the Eastern edge of the Hunting Grounds. After searching and resting, he would return back to the Clearing to relieve Sky of watching over Fianna and give her a chance to stretch her legs if she needed it. He certainly got his exercise in while chasing the hare he caught not too long ago and if he was going to rest, he might as well do so in the Clearing. He stood up to stretch, pushing his weight back onto his hind paws and leaned back while yawning a great yawn and snapped his teeth together before standing for a moment and took off at a leisure walk in the direction of the center of the Pack’s territory.
* Kova would be taken back by Fianna’s reaction for she didn’t get a chance to even smell the fur tuft at all but with her reaction something stirred well within her to quickly bound after the alpha’s daughter “Fianna!” she would say and aimed to sprint well ahead of her. She was injured and didn’t need any other potentially life threatening injuries. She was important as they all where, but she desired not to be alive for the wrath of an mother nor father at the loss of a child.
<Calder> The male would stand 30′ inches tall and weighed at least 100lbs. He was a decently sized male and by the looks of it traveled a lot but as well settled enough to not be to lengthy and lean. He looked well fed and taken care of. There was no scents upon him other than the inticiing prospect to the females. When the younger fae seemed to rise up and charge at him with a leaping bound he would rise a large brow but otherwise didn’t move at all and simply said “Ahhh, just as I was told.” before he turned on large paws and blazed back along the path he took initially within the clearing and headed towards the hunting grounds. He knew his way around for the most part and ensured he scouted out potential exits as well. There was also a nicely well worn path for him to follow special.
* Fianna shook her head, ignoring Kova’s cry she pushed after the male, urging past the pain, her mind filled with awful ideas of her mother’s death, perhaps at the hands of this brute. “No!” She growled, tracing his path. Pain would grow around her ribs and chest however, severely limiting her speed no matter how much she fought against it. A whimper escaped her muzzle. “Please.” She called, “tell me she’s okay..” her voice
* Fianna might as well have been carried by the winds for how soft and despairing it was. Her father, her brother, now her mother. She fell still, head bent and sides heaving, tail drooping as she fought to just breath past the pain of it all.
* skydancer fianna’s call out and subsequent Charge cause her eyes to widen briefly as the fea passes so close enough for her to feel the wind of it. bounding right behind her she is ofcourse too small to do anything to stop the young boulder. well other then a good nip to hind quater maybe but that would be showing disent. Not good so instead she places herself right beside the fea. his lack of response infuriates her but
* skydancer the brutes words chill her instead and she tries to step infront of fianna but a little too slow atleast the injury seems to try slow the larger wolf from outpacing her “slow down fianna, he’s just trying to goat us” she warns in a stern tone. not at All sure if that is the case butwit hfea condition there no way she can do much of anything. bounding infront she makes an attempt to block the anxtious fea,
* Ayaka would see Fianna fall still even as she had attempted to follow the brute, and with a glance to skydancer as she past, she would make note the fae seemed inclined to stay and keep an eye on the alpha’s daughter, her own inside churning like mad, hwr instincts driving her after the brute for many reasons. She would follow his course if she was able, keeping pace if could though she knew not where his destination lay
* Kova would quickly run after Fianna and when the fae began to slow to a painful crawl she would quickly run up to her and brush her nose under her’s “Fianna, stay here. Don’t -move-” her voice more demanding then she’s ever held. They could afford to loose Fianna, not to her injuries or to make it worse. She looked to skydancer quickly before giving a firm nod and with all her strength and pent up energy she would bolt after along the same trail the male used. Her goal now was to chase him down or out. First…. answers.
* ShukieAFK was lounging near the pool of ice beneath the hidden falls totally unaware of the goings on. She’d spent days criss crossing the unknown males scent but never getting a fresh track, always a day or two old. She pondered why the male was roaming the lands wondering if it was part of the brother/sister duo that had recently arrived. Were they a decoy? Or just utter coincidence? She
* ShukieAFK liked coming to the hidden falls, it was always peaceful and a place she could relax and ponder things concerning the pack. They were so few that she opted to spend her days traveling the expanse of the packlands.
* Kajika crossed the space within the Hunting Grounds, absent of trees which provided no cover or shelter so he found himself standout in the expanse. Countless trails criss crossed in front of him of the comings and goings of the wolves and other creatures that they shared their home with, some of which he was able to use so he didn’t have to cut through newly fallen snow. He was unaware of the ensuing chase that was headed in his general direction since his mind was on other things, but sure enough, he would see a figure breaking free from the line of trees that separated the Hunting Grounds and his first thought was to identify them and offer a greeting until he could see the rush in this wolf’s step and when he couldn’t put a name to this figure, he immediately was alert and stopped dead in his tracks. Where were they going? Was this one of the new wolves that he was beside at the meeting? And why were they running? These questions all ran through his mind and he lowered himself to the snow and narrowed his eyes as he stalked over quickly, just content on following for now. Others would appear a moment later and this would only raise more questions that only raised the fur on his hackles. »»
<Calder> The path was well worn and well used enough to where he had little to no resistance in his sprint along the chosen path. The brute’s frame rippled with each deliberate movement to get away from the fae’s who where now in pursuit. He predicted this would happen, or more so, was told it would happen and so he continued all the way until he reached the hunting grounds wide expanse. He was greeted with wide open spaces and plenty of places to run but instead he began to slow his pace once he reached the rivers edge. There was a particular part where the river met the edge of stone and earth until it gave way to the quick running water with fresh snow melt. Settled in the middle of the rushing waters would be a some what large boulder where he effortlessly leaped across the waters and landed with ease upon it. Perhaps he knew exactly where to go to make such a landing with precision and no fault at all to his landing. He would skid to a halt before waiting for the others to catch up. The river was wide and large and would take the wolves sometime to go around if they desired anything other than facing him head on now.
* Kwa`ani stared up into the large gapping hole in the wall, what once was a narrow pathway had grown with the big earth shakes a few months back. Sitting back on her haunches she pondered wandering forth but at last refrained knowing she needed to stay put for a change instead of just wandering off again.

* Fianna didn’t respond to skydancer, but for a miserable look in the smaller fae’s direction. She didn’t move, having slowed to a full stop, limbs shaking as the burning in her ribs intensified, but the anguish in her heart eclipsing it all.
* skydancer paws Itch to go after the brute even so fianna looks seedy too and with the two larger wolfs racing onward she is severly torn. “look fianna” she say’s in a gentle tone nudging the fea. “we’ll find the answer. but you have to stay put until we come back. alright?” she asks giving a comforting lick. “you’re no use to your mum if you end up dying.”
* Kova ‘s eyes would be narrowed as she followed Calder’s every movements up until he would leap from the edge of the roaring river onto a boulder just settled in the center of it all. He clearly had insight into their lands, at least enough to provide him an easy exit with ways of navigating them. This didn’t sit well with her at all but she knew at some point the brute was going to show himself and now he has. What did he want? What had spurred Fianna so? Regardless she began to slow down from her full sprint and took note there was not much room on that rock for more than one wolf and would it be worth sending them both tumbling into the turbating waters. No, she’d wait this out for now. When she slowed she would growl lowly “I hope your answers are as good as your attempted escape.” she’d allow this time for Ayaka to also catch up too. Answers was all they wanted and this was already going south for him quickly.
* Shukie hrmphfffts realizing it had been some time since she saw Atraya, perhaps even since the meeting. Much like with her sister, she was rarely able to pin either fae down for long. Soon she’d need to return to the clearing and check on everyone tho hesitant given her grumbliness and quick temper. Being quick to temper was very unusual for her and she knew the reason, doing her best to
* Shukie tamp down on things. With plenty of light still she figured now was as good a time as any, rising with several long stretches. Lifting one front paw as if in a salute to the falls she began to make her way south and would angle toward the ancient forest, a habbit since the treething wanting to check it just cause.
* Ayaka would have sized the situation nearly the same as Kova and stood paws upon the bank, eyes balefully watching the male as he turned to face them. She’d heard Fianna’s cry, she had put together the clues. “Why have you come?” She would call in echo of her sisters’ tones. “And what do you know of our alphess?” She would bare her fangs, ready should the situation change. Even as she felt the hostility, things inside of her
* Ayaka sparked and fizzed in answer to the season, and she nearly growled as she held herself still.
* Kajika had buried the hare off a little ways in between the Hunting Grounds and the Clearing but it would have to wait. It appeared that the wolf had given this encounter some sort of previous thought as it was evident when he steered his path to the rock which he easily bounded over. And it almost looked like he would get away if at that moment, he didn’t raise himself up and bark
* Kajika offensively »»
<Kajika> »» loud, making his presence known and bared his teeth in a vicious snarl. He was looking to corner the wolf between him and the river which was a brave move for him, but he didn’t recognize this wolf at all and it looked like that might be Kova and Ayaka who had chased this wolf to this point. He had no particular quarrel with this wolf at the moment, but anyone in such a rush
<Kajika> would have to have a »»
<Kajika> »» good enough reason. A growl rumbled in his throat as he moved to intercept the male, putting enough distance between the two of them just to size up the other male.
* Fianna looked back over her shoulder at the forlorn tuft of hair that had settled by her paws earlier. Silence following skydancer’s words. She stared at the fae. “He knows something of mother. Something is wrong. She may even now be dead.” Her tones were flat, as were her ears and her eyes still sparked with rage. “I will not sit quietly by while such brutes roam our lands and hurt my pack. Injury or no, once I can breath again, I will follow. Mother may be where he is going.” She had never challenged another of higher rank before, yet too much had happened, too many of her family missing or worse. She had been tipped too far, her injury making her tolerance even lower.
<Calder> Gave a soft chuckle, his tones and voice would be a somewhat deeper tone but held an odd eloquence to it that suggested he was no simple mutt wandering in lustfully for fae’s. But instead it spoke of purpose and of desire for a certain outcome. “Hello Fae’s of WolfSpirits. I’ve come meaning no harm but simply I wander for a purpose. I’m sure you can feel it as well in the air. Change… a need for it. A purpose. A reason for things….. untold buttttttt…. do they really need to be told?” the near devilishly handsome male quietly circled the stone a few times before kicking a single loose pebble free sending it splashing into the water before looking back up. “Before the young Alpha’s daughter even gave me a chance, I simply come bringing tidings from the north. That is after all what you’ve been after for so long isn’t it? The reason why you’ve come in and out of -my- territory.” he would kick a few more pebbles as he would pace the small boulder before squaring up to the two fae’s until another appeared. There was an almost excited glaze that welled over his eyes and maybe even a bit of surprise. “OH…. there ARE males here…”
* Kwa`ani grumbled at the gnawing emptiness in the pit of her stomach. C’mon Kwa, get your rumpus in gear and check in and maybe you’ll stumble across a slipper to snack on, or a snack with carry handles as she thought of hares. Was it pent up energy? Or this stupid season thing? Or something else entirely that was upon the lands. With a toss of her head she would move easterly thinking maybe to check the west side of the hunting grounds along the river. Still too far to catch scents or sounds she continued on the path.
* Kova when the male spoke she could feel the tinge of unknown and perhaps purpose in his tone but it still didn’t sit well with her. What did he mean -his- territory. They marked their lands well but maybe now the pieces where slowly starting to fall into place. Maybe he and his pack, if he had one, was the reason their prey supply was no longer present in their own territory but perhaps some how kept to his. So many more questions then answers now but she didn’t loose sight of what was important. Did he know what happened to Atraya? She was supposed to return the night prior but didn’t. “We will not ask again…. why are you here and to what purpose is that you seek.” she wouldn’t address his vague riddles.
* Ayaka would bristle a bit at the stranger’s words, stepping to the very edge of the river before looking to see Kajika arriving, his scent mixing with the rest of the tenseness in the air. “If you meant no harm, then you would explain the fur you brought and placed at the feet of the alpha’s daughter. She clearly read ‘harm’ from that.” Her words were a challenge, but also a chance. She would know what this brute meant and what he had to say. She would shoot Kajika a glance, hoping he would not attack the male, not yet.
* skydancer one ear swivels back along the path the others had raced down but keeps her attention on fianna and her frame blocking the larger feas path. “ofcourse he does. he’s also trying to goat us.” she say’s worried about the others. “right now you’re a liability fianna.” she say’s in a stern tone.” her hackles slightly raised. not liking to be challenged at a time like this. she wants go after and tear some answer out of him. it looks like such is not going to happen today though. so suppressing her impatience. “I doubt it.” she states flattly. she is a smart wolf and strong. she survived worse odds. there is no ancient beings involved in this. I’d Know” she urges not sure if she’s correct but she has to calm the younger wolf down get her to think. “add to that the fact that right now you can’t do anything and I know that is infuriating. I’ve been there. several times.” she drops her voice to gentler tone at the last two sentences and nuzzles the fea. “come let’s go back to the clearing. that way the other can find us.” she puts her shoulder against fianna. not daring to leave to fea alone at this time either the young wolf might get herself into trouble.
<Calder> Rolled his shoulders before he would continue to square up to the female wolves of the pack, especially Fianna. The others that he was told of where missing but his attention seemed to divert when the male appeared. His eyes now fixed upon Kajika and blatantly sizing him up as well. It was a male thing and with such the season being as it was he spent extra care evaluating this one. Who was he. How did he fit into this pack. He hadn’t smelt a male in a while and was under the assumption the pack had fallen. Perhaps a small page revealed in his book of ‘reasons’ for being there. “I’m here simply, to be here.” his tones began to change now. It was more of a casual and somewhat welcoming tone. “I also bring news of your wandering Alpha Female. She is to the north, quiet a ways…actually…. ” he looked up in thought, as if somehow recalling how and when he saw her before he looked back to Kajika, seemingly speaking only while looking at him with a smile “She disappeared into the Myrkeer. “That’s the fur I brought…. as proof.” he smiled with a devilishly grin.
* Shukie paused, weird intuitions, 6th sense, or maybe even senility resulting from the season. For a time her ears laid back as she made her way to ‘the’ tree and began to circle it. Depending on where the ‘group’ was, would she catch a scent or a wayward tone? With a slight tossing of her head seh would emerge from the fringes of the ancient forest at about it’s mid-way point between its
* Shukie north tip and southern boundaries.
* Kova her hues shot towards Ayaka but when Kajika joined she felt a well of confidence. They where stronger in numbers and now with Kajika present he might not feel so squirrely. “Where and what is the Myrkeer….” she growled with intent to force him if need be. She was simple and blunt with her statement with an aim to get the most out of this conversation, all the while she sized up the boulder and tried to see how, if able, to get across and cut him off but there was no easy way through this rushing river without herself becoming endangered with no rock to perch on. The next one wasn’t available for a while downstream. Not tall enough anyway to get across the fresh snow melt.
* Fianna didn’t answe immediately, a long silence ensuring as skydancer’s hackles rose. Fianna was torn, the indecision written clearly on her face. But the pain once again sharp and angry spoke of the truth of skydancer ‘s words. She remembered the wisdoms she’d been taught. The words her own mother had spoken of, patience. How could one be patient when the world had come crashing down? But she was a liability. A slow whimper dragged from Fianna’s throat, and she finally lowered her posture a fraction in deference to skydancer, but only just. Stiffly, she settled onto her haunches, then slowly lowered to lay, making no move to retreat back, her gaze going long into the forest, watching, waiting, even if she couldn’t follow. Each breath shot more pain through her side, but she slowly controlled it, slowly calmed ever so slightly.
<Kajika> The motion almost felt unfamiliar to him as he was in the path of this strange wolf but he was almost not certain on how to answer. Certainly there were males. He had at least briefly met the Alpha Male, but that was a while ago and he restrained from asking, assuming that he just wanted to keep to himself these days. And there were a few others that he had met since coming here. But
<Kajika> these »»
<Kajika> »» thoughts were all quelled as Ayaka spoke of fur that was dropped at the paws of one of his packmates and his own fur was standing on end again. When he looked at her expression, she was solemn and meant every word of it and he only listened as the male tried to explain himself with what seemed to him as more of answers than riddles. A shiver went through him as he seemed to be addressed specifically but chose to look the wolf everywhere but his eyes. He didn’t know the term of which this wolf spoke of, but using the word “disappear” made it sound like there was no coming back, or at least a difficult journey would be the only way. “And you were able to bring her fur back from there? That means that in theory we could go and find her ourselves to ensure her well-being?” He stood stock still, mostly calm and collected even if he looked like he was ready to pounce, and his question came out in a little more of a growl through his parted muzzle which was not the way he had addressed anyone since coming here which almost felt foreign now.
* Kwa`ani picked up the beta’s scent which seemed to be heading to the clearing. Her decision made, she would head to the hunting grounds and seek the fae later. Her belly spoke loudest and food she was wanting, even if it was something small. She beeeeeboppppped through the snow, at times hippityhopping over low mounds. Other times she trudged thru them. Light was fading somewhat which would make  things more difficult to spot.
* Ayaka had an inkling of why the male was here, in their territory. She knew what it looked like, their alpha, both of them now, gone. Somehow this stranger knew much of their pack, which further put them at a disadvantage, for they knew nothing of him. “Speak plainly, stranger.” She growled. “No more games, no more shadowwalking. What would you have us do? We would reclaim our alphess, and know of this Myrkeer you speak of.”
<Calder> He smiled all the same to their questions and demanding tones. Surely he would give them what they wanted or close to it. Or would he? “Shadowwalking? ha… yes I do like that. With all the wandering your pack does…. you’ve never heard of the Myrkeer? Oh surely you have….. your Alpha Male spoke of great stories and wondrous adventures…. where you not at all paying attention?” his  nails clicked against the cold stone as he walked left and right before standing still before the wolves with still yet a coy smile. “All the same….. it is fur that I found, and, as such…. your pack is already dying, so, I felt some sort of pity you can call it to come and bring this token back to you. I’m sure some here miss their mother….” his eyes would dart past all the other wolves and leer in Fianna’s direction. She was the only one present of the Alpha’s lineage that was acounted for but he was well open to keeping his surroundings in check and anyone within them. “You’ll find the Myrkeer to the north, well beyond this territory and into mine. You will find what you’re seeking at the mountains mouth before you reach the open plains to the north east. And with that my dears…”he would grin before effortlessly leaping from the stone to the other side of the embankment.
* skydancer seeing the indecision and smelling the pain the fae is in simply waits until the other finaly relaxes, marginaly before eventaly lying down. stiffly so stiffly infact that is worried the young wolf has done damage to herself. once the other has setlled down she moves toward the fea and licks her head and ears gently in an attempt to comfort the young wolf. shifting her weight she glances down the track then back to the fea. “can I trust you stay put? until we come back?” she asks not about to leave the fea beind if fianna is ready to do so. to do so will cause ore problems then it solves.
* Fianna stares at the brute as he speaks to Kova and Ayaka a ways off, his voice carrying for he made no attempt to speam quietly. She lay now, just south of them, having backed down at skydancer’s urging. As Calder caught her gaze she would rise again, slowly, painfully but didn’t move forward, her ears up and tail raised to show him she wasn’t cowed. She didn’t respond, for her heart had latched onto the knews of her mother’s whereabouts. He hadn’t said she was dead. Finally, she took one step forward, flicking an ear to skydancer, but shaking her head. “Wolf.” She called, “take us to her.” She watched him closely, anger still near the surface, yet the season had sway over her as well, though she understood it little, and the anger was tempered slightly by it, despite herself.
* Kajika took a step back defensively when the wolf jumped onto the opposite side of the river, watching the male as he walked past. To him, the answers they received still only brough more questions for him but if the term sounded familiar to anyone else, then he would be at ease knowing that they had at least heard of the place. Maybe once this situation defused they would have a chance
* Kajika to pool »»
<Kajika> »» their thoughts together. And the male gave them directions to this place so Kajika would step aside and let the male pass uninterrupted, his own eyes watching him as he went along with the others’. He wouldn’t be sure that what the male said was true, but it would be difficult to make him lead them there himself if he proved that he was able to roam the territory at will and
<Kajika> boast about it. And as he thought about it, the words of the deed that this wolf had taken almost sounded almost noble, but Kajika found that his tone hid any true desires that he himself had only just started to feel inclined towards. A long trek wasn’t made usually made for the benefit of strangers, even if he knew them so well. And the fact that he knew that the Alpha Male had told stories of this place was baffling to him. Had he been around longer than Kajika expected? For all he knew, this wolf might have been spying on the Pack for years, or he was somehow able to extract this information possibly from Atraya. Mentally he huffed. There were still so many questions, but they would have to wait until another time.
* Ayaka watched the well made stranger leap lithely off the rock, an ear flicking as she heard Fianna call out from behind them, but didn’t take her gaze off the male before them. “You say we must trek through your territory to get to her. How do we know your pack will not attack? Have you come to offer us passage?” Her voice would be more tempered than before for indeed, Calder had shown no hostility.
* Kova her fur continued to hold it’s defensive bristle as she watched Calder move off from his stone perch and as soon as he did her muscles began to ripple and signs of her own attempt to follow after him was evident. She paused however when Fianna took a step forward and would approach the male and she too would wonder what his name was.
<Calder> When he reached the otherside he knew he only had a matter of time to take his leave before the others either followed and tried to run him out, or, just left it at that. He -was- doing them a favor but to what extent? “Calder…” he smiled before dipping his head and quickly turning back along the trail he used to get in and out of the territory and once more in a dashing sprint he would go. His demeanor would suggest that of one who was trespassing. The path was well worn and a decent ‘highway’ for him to come in and out easily enough and he would aim to go with no trouble to the wolves at all.
* Shukie was not privvy to the what was happening, thus continued on to the clearing, picking up the ood male scent even here. Perhaps the pack had greeted him. Time would tell. Something still felt off but she couldn’t pin the tail to the ‘creature’.
* Kwa`ani might actually cross the brute’s path depending if he followed anywhere near the river as she was heading south from the northland passage. Maybe she’d find food and could bring some back for the others just in case they’d not been able to find something. Yeah, that’s what she would do…find dinner for herself and the others. She’d be the pack provider! Yeah! that’d be kewl she thought.
* skydancer turns her attention toward the brute glaring at him her banner going level with her spine while watching after him. “we better see if we can find shukie.” she eventualy speaks up. “she needs to know what happened” shifing her weight slightly she looks along the trail that calder used only moments ago to leave. “and I think it would be usefull to check if he’s really leaving the territory.
